Another fantastic episode guys, cheers to you. This album is a 9/10 for me and a must listen for anybody who wants to dive into power metal As a not native English speaker (English is my 3rd-4th language), I do not care much lyrics but I would say that the rock star line delivery is strange, kinda alternative. Never liked it much, but they make it up in the rest of the song, especially the pre solo break down The only song I am not keen on is indeed the last one. The rest are all amazing
The rock star line didn't bug me. The first time I heard this, and a lot of PM in this vein, the overly positive nature of the lyrics was what bugged me the most. I was soooooo entrenched in the negativity of death and black metal, that how dare someone tell me to just hang in there and keep going, and life would be all daisies and puppy dogs!!! it felt gross if i'm honest. Haha. Now, it's fine. I wish I could take their advise and overall life outlook to heart. Anyway.... i LOVE this and the follow up album. SO MUCH EMOTION in these songs and vocals. LOVE IT! Damn, I was not expecting a review on this!!! I usually don’t comment, but been a long time watcher. I’m kinda all over with my taste of metal, like you guys. I do prefer more traditional/epic metal, and thrash, but I do love stuff from goregrind to cheesy power metal. I love you guys cover it all, and hard rock too!!!! The lyrics are cheesy as hell… but Marty I’m with you!!! This album rocks and I love how he sings the “rockstar” line… the lyrics are so bad, but how he sings it and the music makes it awesome!!! Lyrics always take a backseat for me to the music anyway. Jorn’s vocals are amazing on this album!!!! Idk maybe you gotta be a Helloween nut swinger to love this stuff😂😂 love Helloween, finally got to see them last year for the first time… with Kai, Andy, and Michael!!!!!!
Zach.... thanks so much for your comment and "having my back". I felt like I was on an island surrounded by sharks! Haha. When I first started to accept power metal into my regular diet, I had to kill the part of my "TRUE KVLT" personality that was deep into death and black metal and learn to accept a healthy level of cheese AND positivity. I fully welcome it now and really appreciate it in heavy/power metal. And with a vocal performance THIS AMAZING, he could be singing to me a manual on how to save a herd of puppies and I'm all in! Haha. And yes... I'm a die hard Helloween nut swinger. Again, welcome to the channel and thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Big fan of this band since this came out, although the 2nd one is still my favorite. I agree that the 1st song is the weakest one and not really because of the lyrics. Give me a break guys, we all are fans of Black/Death/Grind bands, did you try to stop and read the lyrics? 😆
