Well to my disappointment, it seems as though the same rider is at 4:00, so it must have been something rubbing against the tire.
It's not the hub, his splash cover is bent and is rubbing against the tire
Just put a plastic bottle that rubs your tire, like when some of us did when we were kids :)

I noticed there's always a whistle blown. Is that an official like a flagger? signaling after a rider passes a certain checkpoint I would think, Maybe to indicate to the flagger before him that the next jump is clear for the rider to continue at full speed. Any thoughts? Thanks.
alaskapaul It means: There's a rider coming, get out of the track
Ramon Merino Villamil no it doesn't. the track marshalls blow a whistle to indicate timings. This let's the race instructors know when to send the next rider down and give results of if they are + or - their previous time.
