Sounds weird but this spring (with the first 5 star period in 15 years) has been the least hyped spring since like the Pelini years. Rhule made sure to keep Raiola out of the spotlight until the game and most of Husker nation is just in wait and see mode. We don't care about the talk anymore we just want to see the walk.

His poise is what really impressed me. He looked very calm and cool running the offense.
And the increase in receiver athleticism bodes well for a good season when you couple it with a solid defense coming back!

I want to see improvement in Special Teams. That's an area that's been underwhelming for years.
Limit teams and generate returns for the offense!

Our special teams was actually really good last year, we had a lot of blocked FG, punts, fumbles on returns. At least defensively.

Didn't Nebraska rest like almost all their starters on defense?

When I was a young lad, back in the 80's and early-to-mid 90's, this is how Nebraska was good. Enough of a passing game that you couldn't put 11 guys at the line of scrimmage, an efficient running game and the Blackshirts on defense keeping the other team in check. A powerful running game and a defense, plus just enough passing to be a threat (except against Penn State, where they didn't need to throw a single pass in the second half) is how Michigan went 15-0 last year. Nebraska isn't gonna go 15-0, but with a defense, a running game and avoiding turnovers, they could go 8-4 or 9-3. they just have to learn how to not blow games at the end.
