JD you’re right about needing an O line, but I have to counter and say that our QB play was so poor it made our Oline look much worse than it was. So many times holding the ball and not being decisive.

Opposing Ds also knew we weren't able to pick them apart with quick short-mid passes so they were more prone to send heat and take the odds. O line was much better this year and QB accuracy would have made them look even better.

I feel like some people are down playing this.
They just recruited 2 talented freshman OL that can play out of the gate 1 of which is Grant Brix and they're both Tackles.
If they can develop 2 Guards and or portal in 2 guards and maybe 1 more tackle their Offensive line will be fine.
They still need at least 2 or 3 recievers to step up and be game changers, a sure hands guy, a speedy route runner, and a good verticle guy.
Defensively i think Nebraska was Ok once they got settled in sure they need some DL depth but they werent too horrible on defense

Wrong, Nebraska got 3 tackles this year and 4 tackles last year. Where are they going to magically get all these guy?
Nebraska missed on Massey and Baker. You can't just force guys to come to Nebraska that's not how that works.
Who? Who, is Nebraska going to get that is better than Colman? Name names.
And if they are any good they are going to come with a hefty price tag. Maybe Nebraska will get a couple portal guys, but they are going to have to coach up the guys they do have. They don't have much of an option.
Defense jumped 80 spots that is not good enough for you because you are delusional. What are you talking about? Just all-around bad take.

I would disagree about the O-line. I don’t think they were horrible, I think the numbers you’re quoting has more to do with the very poor QB play last year. Them not being able to see the field well, getting happy feet and not making quick decisions. A good qb can make that O-line look a lotttttt better!!!

I agree he isn’t the entire fix, but your discussion about the offensive line is missing some context. They had multiple starters hurt, they had to burn redshirts to field a team. I believe by the time they got to November, they had 2 offensive starters still healthy.

You just gained additional credibility. So tired of hearing Raiola is the highest ranked recruit in the history of Nebraska football. Really? Tommy Frazier was the number one recruit in the 92 class. Mickey Joseph was a HUGE recruit in the mid 80’s. Modern era of recruit rankings? Yes you are right. Higher than Steinkuhler, Marlon Lucky, and Aaron Green. Scott Frost said in his 2nd year “We are running out of time to surround him with worthy talent.
He was peer recruiting but this last minute flip shelved that process.
I think Georgia did a little something. Dominic would only send his kids to a HC he could trust. I think a portion of that trust was lost recently.

DJ? O-line? O-line at nebraska has not been good for a long time, but did we forget nebraska just landed Grant Brix? May not fix the line, but he'll help. Among other guys, not top players, but being coached up and everyone having experience in the same system will be a big plus for the offense.
Nebraska has a lot of offensive talent they are young. Top player from last years class offense WR Colman, this year top 4 are offensive guys. Those guys mature, along with the defense that was 16th in the country. Nebraska just might have something cooking for the first time in a long time.

No 5 star QB or Wideout should ever wanna go to Georgia. That offense is far to flat. Stetson was a walk on and Beck sat behind a walk on lol. 5 star RB yes 5star D linemen yes but definitely not skilled athletic offensive players such as a QB or WR’s. It’s a death sentence for a career at Georgia. Georgia is very predictable and flat as hell on offense. All they need are “game managers” If Kirby won’t evolve then it’s a done deal. @taklfarms2575 the troll is you. Lots of complaints, no answers. "They just need to do better." Olines do not transform overnight. Never have, you know nothing about football. You don't know how blocking schemes work, and you don't know how teamwork works.
Oline is already much better than under frost. They added 5 olinemen last year and 5 more this year, including Brix and Preston, both 4 ⭐️ very good prospects. What more would you suggest they do? How easy do you think it is to convince young players to come to Nebraska who hasn't won shit the last decade? Over a Michigan, OSU, Noter Dame, etc....

I’m tired of Georgia fans quoting Ruhle. Get your facts straight. He was referencing a top 5 portal quarterback not a high school quarterback. Nebraska met with 5 of the top portal quarterbacks before there was even a sound of the Raiola flip. The statement was made at least a week before the flip. He may have received NIL money from Nebraska. There are a lot of kids be paid.

Afraid of competition? He's going to be competing against Michigan, Washington, Oregon, Ohio State, USC and the rest of the BIG10 _in a 5-7 team._ To go into a rebuild and have the weight on your shoulders to turn a program around without five-star weapons to help you is monumentally braver than riding the bench and coasting in a top ten team. If he got on the field at Georgia, the elite talent around him would make his job exponentially easier.
The expectations and pressure on a Nebraska QB is insane. Going to Nebraska is a far more difficult job with immensely higher risk. To say he's scared of competition is ridiculous.

Nebraska doesn’t live in anyone’s head.. See, this is precisely why corntards are so annoying. Nebraska hasn’t won shit in almost 30 years, and yet their fans think they will compete for a national championship every year. The amount of chest pounding I saw online when y’all hired Scott frost, and how he was going to take y’all to the promise land. How’d that work out? Now Nebraska has mid-ass coach, and a unproven QB, that previously committed to two other schools before having to resort to Nebraska. Now, the corntards are crawling out of the woodwork again. Nebraska fans IRL are typically very good people, but it’s an entirely different story on the internet.
