    She's 44 and only recently starting on Wagner. Good for her for waiting and singing all that Mozart, Handel and bel canto.

    Wonderful! I have tix for the matinee. Elza has years of experience with Handel, Mozart, and Donizetti, so can sing Wagner and Strauss lyrically, not scream as we hear too often.

    Lets be serious this is tough repertoire and it exacts a price. I think there is tremendous pressure to take on certain roles as the competition is fierce and there are only so many opportunities. Do people realize the amount of sacrifice and hard work it takes to become an opera singer?

    What is this, just heard Jessye Norman singing this and this popped up next. All I can say is I typically dislike ultra-critical comments but this sounds more like a work in progress

    strained, labored singing especially at upper register, sharp, not smooth transitions, too heavy, excessive vibrato

      @@draganvidic2039 she’s not a lyric soprano. her voice is huge when she wants to. I saw her Chrysothemis, she swallowed up the Elektra.
