Thanks! Yeah, it's hilarious when I go back to a normal guitar after playing in 17 for a long time, and the frets feel bizarrely far apart. Technical run-down: you mean of this song in particular, or 17 in general? I was toying with the idea of making a little video with a general overview of how I work in 17-edo...
@@TheMercuryTree I'd love to know a bit more about the instruments as well as your approach to writing for 17-tone. does it affect the way you jam out new pieces? do you find you gravitate towards certain keys or modes more? are you concerned with a mess of overtones- how do you manage that? etcetera... :-)
Not sure how you can hear it's interesting and think it is 'fake'; try freezing some frames around 45 seconds and count up to the double dot which would be the 12th fret on a normal guitar. There not exactly common but a good few people have 17 note instruments (as well as other tuning systems) - they are an absolute blast :)
that's the definition of perfect live performance
mohammad shakourian Agreed!!!
Album of the year!
This is a great live performance! Really nice clear mix too. Great job 👏 I've just ordered a 17EDO neck myself 😁 Can't wait
What a performance! What a blast!
thanks so much sir!

going back to 12-tone now is like going back to those giant lego bricks. this has so much more detail.
is there a technical run-down somewhere?

amazing well done!
I feel so much better I missed the show. lol --- fucking badass playing from everyone. You guys are the shit.
Muy bueno ese mini-solo de batería
Wow! That's totally WOW!!!!)))))
sorry, I didn't look accurately. we see a wonderpiece of craftmanship too. let us listen...
17tet is much better than 24tet or 12 tet combined.
interesting, but the 17 per oktave is fake. i see regular mensured instruments
Gerhard Lang look more closely. They are in fact 17 per octave.

It's obviously not in 12edo
No, you don't.
The regular instruments only mensurate in canon!
