I took broken plastic boxes for free. When the sellers found out why, they kept it for themselves.

1) A good idea to use plastic boxes for your home and garden. This thing will definitely come in handy on the farm.
Today I took ownership of a couple of blue boxes at the market. I need a shelf outside, at my workplace, to place the necessary tools that should always be at hand.
The tools you will need are a grinder and ties to fasten the parts.
How to do:
- First you need to level the walls of the drawers by sawing off the protruding parts.
- One box remains intact, the other is sawn into shelves.
- Part of the box will go to the second tier; for this, my husband sawed off part of the box from the short side.
- Next, the box was divided into parts according to the “as it turns out” principle.
- The result was a strip for the bottom shelf, the middle shelf and the back wall of the additional tier.
- I connected all the parts with ties. The result is a fairly spacious shelf, which can be increased in size by adding additional sections.
- Among other things, the design is strong, light and comfortable.
- Additional part.
- The shelf is in place.
In fact, the functionality of plastic boxes is much wider, but they are definitely a lifesaver for organizing space in the household.
2) I asked for plastic boxes at the market and immediately put them into use. I’ll show you what useful thing my husband and I made from them.
Only recently I sowed tomatoes and peppers, but today they have already grown, become stronger and do not fit on the windowsill. The shelves that were made for the windowsill do not save, and the plants need more space and light.
We made a spacious rack for our kids. The dimensions of the structure may vary; my husband and I used low plastic vegetable boxes from a nearby market as a basis.
- We also need 4 racks or boards on which the boxes will be attached.
- First of all, I washed the boxes from dirt.
- On sticks I distributed the distance that will be between the shelves, for me it is 38 cm.
It turns out that the plastic on such boxes is very strong and it takes a man’s strength to drill a hole. Before tightening the screw, a drill was used to drill through the board and the box. You need to find a place on the box so that the screw goes into the plastic and not into the voids. There are 8 screws per shelf.
- First, we screwed a row of boxes onto one stick. To keep everything even, everything was leveled on a stick on the floor. The durability of the structure depends on this.
- As soon as the first row was made, everything went like clockwork, the rack assembled like a construction set, smoothly and without distortions.
- I placed it by the window. There is enough light, I will only change the pots of plants from the lowest shelf.
- Now all the seedlings are in one place, it’s convenient to water and not be afraid that the pot will fall, the sides reliably protect it.
I watch on the Internet how experienced gardeners fertilize and nurture seedlings using various means, but we don’t have such bubbles in stores.
I bought myself ordinary fertilizer for seedlings and water it according to the instructions, after 15 days. I made 2 feedings.
It’s frosty outside, and I’m already doing agricultural work in my “greenhouse”.
