Thats ridiculous, they can't help who they are! Should they gain 40 pounds and change their color? I appreciate them making a video regardless that they r skinny and Im overweight. I just bought 2 nice tops at a Thrift Store tonight for a total of 5 bucks, one looks brand new!!
My first memory of thrifting is going to a jumble sale (think that's a Scottish word) with my granny to find me a knitted poncho. I was about 5 so 1973 and I got the most amazing rainbow one with pom poms!!!! Xxxxx

So glad you said this! It pisses me off when people buy these gorgeous pieces in great condition and then “thrift-flip” them into something hideous with raw hems or distressed knees 🤬 Shop at a modern store or a consignment store like Crossroads and leave the “too vintage” pieces for us who can appreciate old-fashioned things just the way they are!

When coury picked you that peach colored 70s dress I screamed because I have that exact one that I found at a thrift store in the middle of nowhere Ohio (where I’m from) for 3 dollars. It just shows how small our little world is!

I love your channel and have never commented but I have to say I’ve been thrifting and doing vintage clothes since my twenties and I’m now 60 and still love it, e bay just made it more commercial and accessible. Just wish we had as much access in the uk

Jill, I can relate. Started thrifting in my 20s as well...got the cutest little winter boots for my baby boy and was hooked. Mixing thrifted items with the occasional new-off-the-rack piece made for some interesting looks. Still thrifting at 63, only now I can do it every single week if I feel like it.

Beth, u always give us the goods and I am here for it! I'm truly in shock at all the treasures Coury passed up on! The purple suit, the peach dress, the whole outfit that she paired with the blue puff sleeve sweater... and everything looked amazing with her shoes...Wow, her closet must already be packed with gems for her to turn down gold so easily! I found your channel and you made me realize that being yourself and showing personality through clothes. Is the coolest way to be. I have been buying more prints cool t-shirts with logos and it's because you showed me to be myself. I love getting dressed now. Been a thrifter for a long time. I'm not basic for goodness sakes I have blue black hair a nose piercing. I'm 46. So thank you for your inspiration.

I’ve always loved flea markets and antique stores, but never for clothes. Not until I was in my late 20s. When I was young, worn in, distressed jeans were something you had to do yourself.. And it took forever. I used to donate to goodwill, and one day, i was in the store and noticed the jeans section...and found a few pairs of great faded jeans, so I went back now and then, though only for jeans. Then a Vincent du Paul opened in my neighborhood, I went in on a whim and found an Ann Taylor trench and a brand new LlBean barn jacket (close to $200 new) for less than $10 each....and that’s when it really started. I’m kind of sad that it’s become so popular....even though it’s a good thing, it’s driven prices up. Still better than buying new...but still.

My first thrifting memory was also for Halloween costumes for me and my sister. We got evening gowns to dress as princesses, long before Princes Diana. We had dress up fun for a long time after Halloween.
I can’t believe how many great things you found. I haven’t seen a “thrift with me” this good in a very long time. So many great tips and dresses. And I’ve been looking for the perfect vintage suit for over a year, that one coury tried on is my dream.

I live in Guatemala. The jacket you have is made from a huipil- or the traditional dress that women wear here. Most likely it was handwoven, and id have to see the pattern a bit better to see what area it’s from as each community has their own design and colors. Great find, and very special piece!

When I was young you never mentioned you went to a thrift store for clothing. That was looked down on. Times have changed and I'm glad. There are many reasons people go thrifting and most people have several reasons why they go.
The dress that Courey passed 16.16 gave a glympse of Zimmerman floral fabric designs collections then the red dress I might considered it wearing as a beach cover up with out the shoulder pads.. I can not remember the designer that make cover ups like that but cost a fortune.. I went to checkout the names, Verandah, Alexis (pavilla dress), or rococo ayaka robe dress. I wish Courey showed us more or the other pieces if clothes like the white and black dress.Nice video.
