Itching....itching all over is a great way to tell of someone is on too many opiates.

I had a pill popping phase, then got therapy. Found out that I enjoyed the high because it put me in the same comforting derealization fog that I used to have as a kid, I have maladaptive daydreaming and daydreaming feels like being high on Vicodin. My anxiety kept me from daydreaming and the pills quieted my anxiety and I could daydream again.

I appreciate what you're saying here but my husband has been addicted to opiates for over 40 years. This isn't his story at all. Opiates make him a better person to be around. He's not in constant pain anymore so I don't consider his addiction a problem.

I have been on them and not addicted to them mentally either. However, me and your husband are physically dependent and we can’t just stop without it being very dangerous and getting very sick. I have family who is physically and mentally addicted and they cannot control getting a prescription and taking it as prescribed 100 percent of the time. I can. Maybe your husband can. But that doesn’t mean we aren’t physically dependent on them. ❤

I hope you don’t take what I said wrong… I’m just trying to help others understand because I have a chronic pain condition that requires me to be medicated and I also have family that have a history of being addicted to the same drugs that I rely on for daily living. But I’m telling you and everyone else, after 12 years of opioid treatment and without having addiction issues, it is VERY difficult to not get addicted to these medications. I ran a pain group for people for many years and after YEARS it can TURN to addiction. Let’s say your husband has an additional injury or a surgery and the original dose no longer works. Or he is in a ton of pain so he chooses to chew his pill instead of swallowing it and then he’s taking 2 at a time instead of one, telling himself that he’ll make up for it (and he will… for many times… and then he might not). I’ve heard of people that were on them for pain for decades before they had a mental addiction to them. The other thing is… it isn’t you, it’s your husband who is taking them. And you wouldn’t know if he started down a slippery slope. I know you think you would know, but you wouldn’t. I’m not saying he is, I’m just saying that no one is immune to being addicted to these and the way people get addicted in the first place is by hiding things. Very well. ❤

Go to inpatient. Or aa and find someone who dealt with what your dealing with n see if they can help. Just say what your issue is and they’ll flock to you after meeting is over. If you ever wondered where all the good people of our society are? they’re there. 😮

Thank you for sharing this. Could definitely save someone’s life. My mother died in 2016 from her pain management doctor prescribed her oxymorphone at too high of a dose and it took her life. If we knew what the warning signs were maybe she’d still be here. Thank you for sharing this!!

I dont want to be that guy, but getting prescribed to high of a dose is extremely rare, you could sue. Could have happened to what happens to others, took to many because it feels way to good.

hey Eric! just wanted to say thank you for sharing your journey and experiences with us. You have an incredible story. In a lot of your tik toks and some videos, you mention 7/25/17. Have you ever made a video talking about that day? If not, would that be something you are comfortable doing a video about? Anyway, have a great day!

Did cold turkey on subuxone, it was HELL but worth it. 3 years sober 🥳 But I never had any problems looking ppl in their eyes. But one thing u forgot is that the voice becomes low and scratchy when ur on opiates...

I was high on pain meds for years and only took them once a day....i went straight to heroin. I didnt take shallow breaths. Heroin actually helped me breath better. I had no issue looking people in the eye. I had more enjoyment being with people when high on opiates. The only time i ever liked socualizing was when i was high....everything you said was opposite for me. When i quit opiates i became a total recluse again!! I been uninterested in people ever since i quit opiates....lol

Same here, you should take an online autism/Asperger test and ADHD test if you haven't. Gets a general score anyway. I took the major online test,. 150 questions. and scored like 140. People on the spectrum, like me. can have paradoxiadal affects to drugs. Like coke for me. It doesnt make me this horny out going person like everyone else. IT makes me find a hole, or a closest and hide. its awful.
Sober, I hate eye contact, I dont leave, I was more active. Opiates made me feel normal, which is what I hate the most about quitting them.
If you go down the research path of autism, if you even care. self diagnoses is 100% valid, a gay person doesnt need to go to a doctor to be told theyre gay. one can research the medical pieces theirself and figure it out easily, and compare to others.
having a label for me, why so much stuff worked backwards. and why I felt like an alien living on a planet I didnt get the instruction manuel too helped greatly. to bad I found out when I was 29.

Eh, it started off that way for me then changed on me. For me theres 2 kimds of opiate highs---the one you explained, where you felt like wanting to socalize and get things done and were happy and then there was HIGH HIGH, when I was HIGH HIGH all i wanted was to sit there and enjoy the high and chainsmoke and nod off while i listened to music....and in that state if literally anyone tried to talk to me id flip out on them and just start tearing into them for no reason it was really weird and out of character for me, just super irritable towards people in general but on a lower dose of opiates yeah id be talking my ass off and loving everyone

  • @TheMookie1590

I used opiates since 13 years old. for over a decade. I can say, The eye contact thing never bothered me, but I did, and still wear sun glasses every where. But I have ASD and ADHD with weird sensitivities. light being one, its always bright out, even with it cloudy.
Another sign of someone on opiates. A big one you missed. ALWAYS ITCHY. If they constantly scratch itches in random spots, not isolated. They scratch to the point of blood or fluid because it doesnt hurt.
They have an upbeat mood, then down and sad for no reason.
when theyre down and sad, look at their eyes. are they watering non stop? are they yawning as well? that is the start of withdraw.
Do they disappear or take frequent breaks, come back with the sniffles?. That was me, I only ever vacuumed them up.
I also chew my pills anyway, because I have a weird choking phobia. swolling pills causes an intense gag reflex that makes me feel like im gonna choke, so i chew them all

addiction to pain killers is kinda horrible, i was addicted to tramadol since its super cheap and you can buy a lot of pills without prescription in my country, i felt really relaxed but still i decided to quit since it wasn't even that good, i have tried a lot of stuff and i can't really seem to develop addictions long term since i get bored of every thing that i try, benzos, amph, other opiods, stimulants, and well it feels good but then i get bored and just leave them, and i have never had any symptoms from abruptly stoping so well i guess maybe my body doesn't have a real reason to feel like i should consume those or ask me for more after less than a week. on the other hand i can't stop my sugar addiction, but i think that is because everything has at least some good amount of sugar here

Yo bruv , I’m curious about how to get prescribed benzo for anxiety disorder , I actually struggle with CPTSD symtoms that make it really hard for me to socialize and focus , I have had no luck getting the right med prescribed so I’ve experimented myself with other options , I’ve tried to keep it natural but using unregulated substances can be risky especially nowadays ,.. any advice ? Kindof wish I could find a doctor who understands and can help

    • @TheMookie1590

Not saying anything here. But. Ive been hearing emerging research how ketamine helps trauma based metnal issues, PTSD or SPTSD, you might live in a place its in a clinic and done legit, you may not. others like ibogaine. both these have some brain growth factors as well.
a topic of if research for anyone suffering from ptsd, or depression. So hint hint. reserach it. not on places where they use it to get high, but research katamine for treatment of PTSD or CPTSD. look at pubmeds, see if there are clinics, call them.
