Brookfield is such a great zoo. One of my favorites ever since I was a kid. A lot has changed there in the last 12-15 years, and it is great to see how a zoo from the 1930's has evolved to modern times. Another great midwest zoo is Indianapolis Zoo. Completely different feel to Brookfield and much smaller, but they use the space well so there is always something to look at. Plus they have a stunning Orangutan habitat and an awesome Africa section.
something to realize about mammal carnivores, when they are not hunting or eating they are resting or sleeping. hunting requires a ton of energy so they do the best they can to preserve it. hence the behavior of the wolves.
I really enjoyed your video thanks. I am British and I found it funny when you referred to some of the animals as 'these guys' ; it made me think that I would refer to the animals as 'these blokes'. ha ha lol.
When I was in Australia I went to the Steven Irwin Australian zoo and like it was kinda disappointing compared to brookfield zoo that I grew up going to but petting kangaroos and Wallabies were cool tho
