I am from México City, and I live now in Cuernavaca, why?? The weather, it's always nice, like between spring and summer all year round, also México City is 40 minutes away by car, so I get the best of both worlds, you can't beat that.
Wow. Cuernavaca looks like a great place to live. I personally don’t have anything against foreigners (in general) coming to Mexico. But please, don’t gentrifide. It’s not fair, that those of us, who are just average citizens (or locals) have to leave our own cities, (or neighborhoods) because they get too expansive to live in. Of course, I don’t mean to rude (and certainly, not prejudiced) I’m just saying, please know the difference, between “living” and “gentrifying.” Anyway. On a different subject: Can any of you, tell me, are there any job opportunities in Cuernavaca, for bilingual Mexicans? (Which, I’m assuming, you have already guessed, I am one). I live in GDL. This place is great in a lot of ways, but I don’t like the hot weather (it gets super hot in the spring, and specially, during the summer) But the thing that bothers me the most, is safety. I mean, this beautiful city, may be pretty safe for foreigners (which is a good thing) but it’s definitely not always safe for locals. Now, GDL, may not be a “battlefield.” But I would definitely not put it on a “one of the safest places to live in Mexico” list (Sad, but true). All the same. Thanks for this video. Welcome to Mexico. Subscribed. 🙋🏻♂️🇲🇽🇺🇸
Cuernavaca was my first stay in Mexico for a week Went back , stayed for another week. 4 & 1/2 years ago Many beautiful places there Teplotzan La Estascas Water was cold the day I was there but I went in and enjoyed myself. Thanks for this video. Many good restaurants, museums and art galleries
Hola Marianna, I sure enjoy your channel. Is there an opera culture in Cuernavaca? Is there a classical music scene also. Thanks for the insightful comments and showing us the different barrios in the city. Keep up the good work.
There sure is. Not sure how often there are shows but there is a wonderful local theater called Centro Cultural Teopanzolco centroculturalteopanzolco.com/
Really like the house in San Anton that rents for $16,500 MX. Looks like a really nice neighbourhood. Seriously considering moving to the highlands in Mexico for retirement with my wife
What a great place! I'm moving to Mexico next year and I'm leaning toward Huatulco, but if I decide to go inland, this would be the place. Keep up the good work, always love your videos and planning to get your Relocation Guide later this year. When is your next live Q & A? ☮️❤️❤️❤️😎
Ok here is the true lowdown on Vaca Its not cheap, houses cost same or than normal USA city, its very dense.people are always adding another floor to their homes so many people in small area! Rents are easly $650 plus for one bedroom apartment Not easy-to-rent long term need cosigner and attorney to get contract. Its one hour from biggest city in the world, many ppl from Mexico city come every week end Loud parties!! Till5am if you lucky Down town no tourist anymore. Dirty Better choices abound, Mexico is beautiful, but not Cuernavaca sadly Me got married here in 1985.in those many Americans now I'm the only gringo here feels like In short its a Use To BeNice Town, Not now ..
It's all about perspective. There are several rentals in Cuerna that I have toured starting in the $400 USD/Month. With bills included. It's all about who you know and who is showing you rentals. Sure there are more expensive rentals. And Mexico is noisy- that's the true reality of things. It's not uncommon to hear parties in most towns in Mexico until the wee hours of the night. My advice, don't move near the centro if you're sensitive to noise 😀 I still think Cuernavaca is a great city and a great option for a lot of people
Agree with you, PLUS the State of Morelos is acceptable IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH getting a driver's license, paying car's tags, taxes without being FORCED into assistance of a "gestor" (a middle man to do your basic filling a simple government form) because even though you're well capable of doing it yourself, the employees make sure of given you a hard time and several trips till you accept their "suggestion" of hiring a "gestor"... Also, got severe eye infection and three eye specialists where unable to given me a correct diagnosis. Ended up Googling my myself the information and took care of it myself... MY EXPERIENCE of the state of Morelos... Beautiful place and weather.... That's all.
Another great video Mariana. My wife said that Cuernavaca is a beautiful city along with the surrounding area. She said I would just love the Calabacitas con Rajas y Elote and Nopalitos con Huevos for breakfast. I hear every state has their own way of preparing dishes. I love seeing the rental examples which gives me hope on early retirement. Kudos!
I guess Cuernavaca is somewhat earthquake prone. But every place has its issues. I was there MANY years ago, in the 1980s. I remember how beautiful it was.
donde estas? llegue de usa estaba anios alla soy mexicano y vengo con im mujer de usa. cuernavaca. para rentar algo baratovaos a pasar por puebla queretaro y huaulco y
Let’s speak the truth, Cuernavaca is beautiful but crime runs rampant. One of the highest crime rates in the entire country. It is sad because it used to be a very safe city now it is a very dangerous city. Police and government are useless so all citizens have to watch over their shoulders at all times and I’m not exaggerating. I go to Cuernavaca often, believe me I know. Something to consider if you want to move.

THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! WELL DONE!!👏
Our pleasure!
How much rain does it get?
Loved the video. It makes me want to get on a plane to check it out. Two questions: what is the altitude? And can you describe the expat community?
The exact community is very small. But they do meet weekly to welcome newcomers.
Elevation is about 5000 ft
Oh yes. The churches are so beautiful too. Thanks
💯
Thanks. I really like your channel. I recommend it to many people. You are well travelled and very informative . Your interviews are great too
Love it!
Thanks for the feedback
Algo visit Valle de Bravo, you can't miss it

And yes rajas con elote is delicious!
Do you have any hotel recommendations for Cuernavaca? I am visiting next month for a wedding.
Would be interesting to get some info about Cancun neighborhoods for expats
Coming soon!
@@MexicoRelocationGuide can you please mention proximity to the beach? Walking distance
+ Playa del Carmen :)

Not as earthquake prone as Mexico City
I love your videos thanks so much 🙏
Thank you so much for watching
Seems like a lot of fun
It’s a great city 😊
Any gated communities there? I want one!
Nice video. I am comming for stay during the winter. Muchas gracias, hasta luego
Love the video. Cuernavaca sound delicious. You are a great guide. And also gorgeous. Thanks.
Thank you - yes Cuernavaca is truly a gem
Nice!
Thanks for watching
What about bringing my dog. He is well behaved mix about 40 lbs
You shouldn’t have a problem finding a rental that is pet friendly
I would love to contact the real estate agent. I’m planning on visiting in January or February-staying for at least a month to explore neighborhoods.
We’d love to connect you to our network of contacts in Cuernavaca

I would love to visit but not sure where to stay?
You could look at Airbnbs or Hotels online
looks beautiful but seems too masky for me, thanx for the great video.
Loving your informative videos!
Are masks STILL required in Morelos?
In many places yes- such as hospitals, Ubers, and some retailers
Expensive but nice city
Cuernavaca you think is expensive?
Let’s speak the truth, Cuernavaca is beautiful but crime runs rampant. One of the highest crime rates in the entire country.

Something to consider if you want to move.
Yes I have a friend whose father and other relatives live in Cuernavaca and say that crime had gotten really bad in the last several years.
Thank you both for the heads-up.
Even $500USD rents will get you something beautiful. Trust me.
Agree!
Where 👀
I'd be bored to tears there
Put in usd
Put what in USD? This is Mexico, and the currency is MXN. That’s why you’ll see my content with MXN. The exchange rate is $20 MXN to 1 USD
It would be nice side by side w USD, so we get quick snapshot/ mental picture of price. Others do it, thx

When in Rome… do as the Romans do…
But in Mexico, there’s no Romans jajaja…
Wow, those house rentals of over $700 and $900 US are very expensive for Mexico. Must be owned by Gringos who are charging Gringo prices, haha!
You can also find rentals in the $300-$500 range but they’re probably bot as nice
These are examples only
