  • Hi, today I'll show something a little different than my typical repair stuff. One of my not so glamorous regular chores. I've been heating with fire wood for almost 2 decades and it's a lot of work.... but man the nice steady warm heat is worth it. (Not to mention the cost savings) This is pretty cut and dry :) for those long time wood heat folks, but for newbys there's some tips in here that can be helpful. It's always a PITA to try and fight with the fire and have to keep trying over and over again to get it started. Once you get it up to temp it's smooth sailing but sometimes until then it can be troublesome.
    Have fun & Stay warm!!!

Thank you for this video! I just bought a house with this exact stove in it and had no clue where to even start.

I'd suggest having a close look at the gaskets, fire bricks, and combustion package to make sure they are in good condition before burning. Also, clean the pipe so you know there's no obstructions or you may create a chimney fire. You'll be amazed how much heat this little stove puts out!
      Best of Luck!

Very nice stove, but video was bouncing around so much that it was difficult to watch. Otherwise I do appreciate the information in the video.

I do not recommend this level of paper packing unless your chimney is guranteed creosote free. This is a surefire recipe for a chimney fire otherwise. Speaking from experiience.
