  • On the quest for more power from the R7 we're slowly adding parts, today we added the full Woolich Tuning package, Zeitronix AFR reader and Race Tools!
    It's a pretty simple install once you have the bike stripped, this is just a bit of a follow along where we can try to help people who get a bit tripped up with it.

    I've been doing it for the MT09SP gen 3. All the functionality is achievable using the 6 pin factory odb2 connector. I presume the ecu harness mods were for the race tools?
    Additionally I realised it was impractical to go from the stock 02 sensor connector all the way to the zeitronix logger which will be under the seat when there is already already power under the seat... so I made my own power adapter using the zeitronix supplied connector.
    With the fitment of the wideband o2 sensor into the narrowband o2 bung there are adapters available which are good enough. Most shops want to charge an arm and a leg for tasks like that and car exhaust shops will turn away people that look like they're trying to mod stock exhausts. There are welders out there that openly advertise that they won't touch exhausts.

      That's great that you can do it all with the OBD2 connector. I haven't played around with it before, so it's pretty interesting to know. The ECU harness mods are so that the log box can interface with the ECU.
      You're very right about the stock o2 sensor connector as well, seems a lot easier to get 12v from somewhere near the seat where you'll have the Zeitronix box.
      Yeah, the adapters work well enough. For us, we were always going to install a Akra pipe anyway, so it's not really a big concern.

    Hello, I just saw your nice video on installing the Woolish tools on the Yamaha R7 2022. I will be installing the Woolish tools on my Yamaha MT-07 2002 soon, and I have a question. In the installation of the zeitronix harness the wiring can make three connections. One is connected to the position where the O2 sensor was connected, which we disconnect from there. The other is connected to the signal point of the zeitronix-Zt3. The other one that has a female connection, where will we connect it?

    • @BB22Racing
      @BB22Racing  Год назад +1

      I think the one you're referring to is the connection to the Woolich Log Box.

      @@BB22Racing
      Hello, from what I see the Woolich D-CAN V3 Log Box is connected to the RJ12 cable that comes from the zeitronix-Zt3, it is also connected to the Yamaha Harness Type 8 and finally it is connected from the usb port on the pc. It has no other connection point to be able to connect to this female connector of the zeitronix harness

      @BB22Racing  Год назад +1

      @@greekairforcewarthunder2833 Yes, that sounds correct. So you have the Zeitronix-ZT3 which also has 3 connections. One for the O2 sensor, One for the RJ12 to the Woolich Log Box (Data) and the last is for the power cable (which I believe is marked Signal) which is plugged in at 12:42.

      @@BB22Racing I finally found out that this connection exists to link race tools which isn't yet available for the 2022 MT07.

    I got a question though, with these woolich tools, if your bike already has a standard quick shifter/auto blipper, would I still need it? Is it an upgrade from the standard ones that come on the bike?

    • @BB22Racing
      @BB22Racing  8 месяцев назад

      The woolich kit offers more adjustability over the OEM.

    • @preddy4100
      @preddy4100 8 месяцев назад

      Ok thanks for the clarification, so you get one button that does it all with just different procedures in order to activate it aka launch control/warm up/pitt limiter

      I have a 23 mt09 sp that’s about to go get the woolich ecu and just wanted to see if the tool kit would be worth the extra $850

    • @BB22Racing
      @BB22Racing  8 месяцев назад

      So the pit limiter is a button.
      Warm up is only on ride by wire bikes.
      Launch control is activated by being in fist and keeping the clutch in for a set amount of time.
      But I don't know if they even do race tools for a MT09SP

      @preddy4100 8 месяцев назад

      yeah you're right they haven't released the race tool kit for the 21-23 versions just yet, thanks for clarifying though, it was nice to get some insight on this @@BB22Racing
