So sorry to hear. Many people can't analyse. For me believing 50% of what I see and 25% of what I hear. The ability to question what propogandists are trying get you to do long term. Instead of being drawn into some ethnic crime ring story. Only being propagated to stir up tension and zelophobia. The truth is always long winded and boring. you can only smile and carry on caring.

Man, woman, girl, boy. We focus too much on the man with the CO-VID, the one with the power when really, any of those four individuals could get it. We need to look at the whole picture, not just the man. Does the adult woman have a responsibility? Of course she does. For herself and the greater good. What about the boy and girl? Usually, less responsible beings but should know the difference between right and wrong. They become first partially responsible if between sixteen and eighteen then it becomes one hundred per cent, eighteen and over.

Lockdown causes far more harm than good. One year lockdown in Europe, the result being? More lockdown more suicide, more addition, more bankruptcies, more domestic abuse, more despair. Is it true the average age of someone passing away with or from Covid is 82? The literature I have read states this as fact? Nuance required maybe? Cure far worse than the disease maybe??

    • @thomasweir2834

I think it comes from three main sources:
      1. State mandated as a form of new informational warfare. To undermine societal structures and peoples trust in institutions.
      2. Corporate/economic disinformation in the form of paid bad faith actors that make a living from rhetorical arguments and sophistry simply for engagement to sell advertising and commercial products.
      3. Individual citizens who get psychological payoff and get a mental need met by transferring their own innate feelings of a lack of agency onto the wider public. E,g ‘ I feel powerless, but I can retain power by propagating disinformation that makes me feel ‘in the know’ or subconsciously feel better because if I make more people as confused as me then I’m not alone. The UK government opened the door to all of this with their bungled response to the pandemic.
Every day wasted ignoring the advice to implement a lockdown reduced the efficacy of and prolonged the eventual lockdown (or lockdown*s*, we should say).
Of course then these lockdowns didn't meet the expectations of the scientists who originally advised them, fueling sentiment to not take them seriously, which further compromises their efficacy.
Nevertheless, the delayed and compromised lockdowns (and other measures) have a striking effect on the spread of the virus, and I dread to think where we would actually be now if we just let the virus run rampant.

Talk Radio is fantastic. O’Brien is a lunatic, a very dangerous man. Still in love with the Eu I wonder?

Why is he a lunatic? For following the science? Just because you disagree with him? As for Brexit it’s been a real success hasn’t it?

Ian Gascoigne fit the 10 million vaccinated I would say an unbridled success. For Britains future, awesome opportunity which as far as I can see is being pounced upon as our new trading relationships will attest.

@@leohoddle7203 What are they? All this red tape which is hilarious since one of the talking points was if Britain left the EU would be less red tape. You haven’t answered why O’Brien is a lunatic and dangerous man. Other than you disagree with him.
