      yo, your videos are terrible man. quit the site and STOP now. you're completely unprofessional, this is the 2nd time you've advised doses that are WAY above safety levels for fish. Your levamisole video advises people to use over 10x the safe limit, and this epsom salt video is quite similar. You're sick in the head, stop making videos. And STOP hearting comments without replying, you sick fuck

    Fantastic video salt is such an effective treatment, unless you're like me and have plecos in almost all your tanks! I'd love to see you touch on alternatives for those of us who have the kinds of fish where salt is not an option. Looking forward to this series a whole bunch because I just know it'll be a series I'll keep bookmarked for future reference. Thanks so much for the effort you put in Joseph!

      I feel like salt at the right amount can be used on catfish. But I do know many people that use H2O2 as an alternative. I would probably just go straight to meds with a catfish if the disease is bad. All fish are different. Please keep in mind I am not a vet or a doctor this is just what I do. Thank you for your positive feedback and your support!!

    Hallo JH and thanks for your video , i am dealing with bloated albino african claw frogs...they have been sick a while...about a month or more.i started treating them 2 weeks ago with bactopur/a bacterial medicine sold in holland. i have medicated them,,waited, water change, medicated,waited but there is no change in the frogs bloating ...if anything he has bloated a bit more.I have cared for african clawed frogs for 20 years both regular and albino and never had this issue.the sick frogs are 4 years old raised from 1cm young frogs.i want to try epsom salt baths next. you suggested 30g/liter for 30 min a day...is this the correct dose for bloating as well? please let me know :) thanks sharon

    So I have a tank with ich that got ich from me not noticing the guppy I had taken out of quarantine had those little white spots. Only like 3 or 4 and a few days later here i am with most the fish being infected. I treated the whole tank with marine salt and I'll do a 50% water change tomorrow morning. Should I do anything different? Should I get the marine salt out with a water change now or should I wait until morning? Idk i used to treat with medicine but i dont have any access to it right now or for at least a week so i put about 3 tablespoons of marine salt that i first dissolved into a cup of water then i poured it in to my ten gallon. Is this too much or should I do a water change now or what?

  • @alfredorosado1

    30 grams per liter.

    How about just using in a quarantine 10 gal? I tablespoon per gallon?

  • @carolehutchinson2568

    Why do other forums typically say one tablespoon Epsom per gallon for a salt dip on a constipated fish? 30 grams per liter is almost 6 tablespoons per gallon.

    I have an older goldfish that seems to have swimbladder problems. He keeps floating to the top and just lying upside down at the top of the tank. I usually make a partial water change every other week, leaving them without food for three days, and feeding them with skinned peas after that.
    My water parameters are fine, no real issues. I've started doing a weekly change now, as it seems to have become a bit worse of late. I have taken out the carbon, but what else can I do? Put epsom salt? I've raise the temperature, used seas salt for the past couple of weeks. This fish is over 18 years old and I don't want to lose him. Please help!!

    Actually the Ich on the body of the fish is shielded from salt. What you’re seeing I think is just fish slime. Salt will kill the Ich that is free spinning, not the cyst form on the body of your fish.

    What happened to your Levamisole video. I was looking up directions for camallanus worms and I came across dosages of 9mg per gallon but I remember your video being like 1 gram per 20 gallons. Stark contrast so I tried to verify with your video and I couldn’t find it anymore.

    • @JHAquatics
      @JHAquatics  3 года назад

      I took it down because the measurements were wrong. 1/4 teaspoon to 100 gallons. So .25 of a gram to 100 gallons of water. You can make up a larger batch like 400 ml in a plastic bottle not metal. but make up like 400 ml of solution with .25g and then just treat accordingly. divide up the solution so 100ml should treat 25 gallons of water.

    • @Rippingthewall
      @Rippingthewall 3 года назад

      Wow, so I crazy overdosed them the first time? I did the gram per 20. But it wasn’t just your video. It’s crazy 4 months ago all the videos said 1g per 20 now I see 9mg per gal everywhere. Was there a levamisole breakthrough or something?
