    Queenside castle checkmate is just dirty. 😂😂 I'm thinking Lasker didn't play that because it may have been viewed as disrespectful to Thomas or other opponents...just a guess though.

      Actually, he thought that checkmating the king with a piece that he never moved (the rook) was the most beautiful way to checkmate but personally I agree that long castle checkmate would have been even more beautiful.

      no he said he was an engineer and learned to work efficiently, castling takes 2 moves with the king and rook while king up only moves the king

      Pretty sure he was just lazy. It was played over the board, so moving the kind to d2 is less effort than moving the rook and kind to castle queenside.

    castling has to move two pieces, king move is more efficient
