Indeed, I always wish that rts games had more factions.
Jazzadroid warcraft 3 has 4 playable factions
The RTS with the most playable races I know of is Warlords Battlecry 3... They had every fantasy race and then some, from knights to lizardmen, passing by dark dwarves, all flavors of elves, giant bugs and goddamn feys and demons. In total, they had 16 different races for you to play, and they somehow still managed to make them all rather balanced. A great game despite its age.
