What's going on?
I definitely would use ZSN Pro for bass & the Salnotes for softer sound
really miss a sound test like this, thanks for doing this again
ZSN Pro X has the widest sound stage but is very bright. Some may enjoy this sound though.
what how? my zsn's soundstage is congested and the chu/zero has better staging capabilities
reduce 5khz in pqrametric eq
@@cryteslx8554 what to do to increase soundstage in 7z salnotes zero?
zero is better
Do not use native KZ Eartips.
Choose thick Eartips with Length 10mm & small bore output. Or Eartips Bass with various brand.
I'm listening with my Salnotes and the Chu sounds so identical 😮. You can't go wrong for $20. The Salnotes is so damn good that I'm getting another for backup.
Hey mate, how are the salnotes in terms of sound signature and fit. I'm still confused between the ZSNs and these and was hoping to get some clarity on real life usage, thanks in advance.
@@atharvakashiva1467 I've never tried the ZSN but the Salnotes is a nice neutral iem with a good fit and isolation. If you want a bit more bass you can try the Salnotes zero 2.
Would've loved to see the CRA in this lineup, but great to see another sound test from you, man. 😎
Moondrop Chu and Salnotes Zero sounds pretty close in this comparison
I have both and they are close sounding, 7hz is more balanced and also has better bass imo, but the chu's vocals and highs really shine in some songs.
I have both but 7hz salnotes zero sounds much finer with wider soundstage and imaging
Chu is trash it's metallic shouty sometimes above 70% volume
There's a whisling treble in vocals
Nobody talks about its annoying
Upper midrange too intense at higher volumes
@@WindMills_ are you talking about that whisling treble in Vocals in the Chu? 🤣 It's annoying for me
Upper midrange sometimes too intense
My 7hz salnotes zero sounds far better much finer sound much better soundstage
Both are bass lacking tho
Chu sounds more plasticky boxy metallic
Chu has even less bass 🤣 like why tf is this earphone selling for?
Sure you get clean bloat free audio
But overall sound is stupid no bass no presence in upper treble past 9khz to 15 khz
Too intense in upper midrange
What are we paying for?
@@Smzxe The chu also has tiny soundstage. I couldn't listen for more than 2 songs lol but what did I expect for 20 usd??
Chu sounds more contained than Zero.
Zero is more natural.
I picked the Zero and the Chu immediately and on every song after that. But I use both frequently as iems for bands and it was easy for me. If you use Comply series 500 foam isolating tips, the Chus bass will become fuller and that high mid peak gets tamed perfectly. I keep a dozen each in stock . We can’t use any tips onstage that bleed so we need the 85db of isolation, and everyone I’ve ever used them with wants to buy them. I highly recommend the 03 for bass players and drummers, etc!! Once again, Comply tips. Series 200 for the 03s.
Just a question, but what are you using to switch iems, a multi headphone amp or on an app? Just curious!! Thanks, Sonny T
Which ones have better bass? I listen to punjabi music alot and with alot of drums i enjoy quite a bit of bass.
Thanks
@@as7zen405 we’re in the budget category here so with that the BLON 03 with series 200 comply tips is what many drummers are using. The BLON 03 is also awesome with Dekoni Mercury foam tips, we are switching to Dekoni foam tips on most of our iems. They last longer and feel better than the Comply’s. We’re also trying the new Velvet tips and Tangzu’s new tips. I advise tip Rolling on everything so we experiment! Hope you find your sound!!
Sonny T
@thesonnytackettshow7949 thanks man im in the uk and finding audio stores is hard but i will be on the lookout thanks dude
Separation, resolution, soundstage, & trebel are so smooth on zero it was the best iem on this test.
Salnotes zero vs blon 03 sound test please
from the blind test im liking A or E (E feels more airy and bigger soundstages, A have cleaner sound). And after the reveal, i guess it was right that you cant go wrong picking either moondrop chu or salnotes zero.
I'm 100% new to IEM and I've ordered the following today :
- KZ ZS10 Pro
- CCA CRA
- Moondrop Chu
- 7Hz Salnotes Zero
Q1 - I wonder if I will truly ear a difference between these 4 budget IEM
Q2 - I wonder if they will sound way better than my Soundpeats TrueAir2 wireless earpods
Q3 - I wonder if these IEM will have a greater impact than FxSound software Equalizer. The software is free and it really improves sound quality of all my devices (airpods, computer speaker, etc.)
Recommend me a best thumping bass and overal vocal one in the list
Which is better and why??
@@bettastamil7558CCA cra
Good to hear sound tests again 👍🏼
A nice comparison. I wasn't actually surprised I picked the Salnotes zero. That and moondrop sounded best on here easily
Oh! I just got my zero 2 weeks ago for 300php only, from a random seller of mystery sack items in my area
So happy to have these :-)
Does he have Shopee?
Listening with EQ'd HD800s, they all sound like shouty in the mids except the ZSN, but that's probably just your rig. I'm still picking up 2 pairs of the Zero. One to stay with the Steam Deck, and the other as a white elephant gift for a Christmas party. I don't see the point of IEM's when they cost as much as proper headphones and never sound good. But I love good cheap ones for pocketability, and not worrying about them being ruined.
thinking about getting chu, zero or crn cause my trn mt1 is now starting to loose some of it's features and i am not satisfied anymore
I thought the E was a more expensive pair that you put as a reference. I'm getting the Chu. Thanks!
I have the salnotes and the edx ultra coming for delivery and I listen to punk rock, alternative rock, pop rock, regae, some pop and a lot of edm. which of the two be good all rounder for my tracks?
Yeah, can't go wrong with either Chu or Zero, with Zero have a bit more in the bass region for some tracks!
Yeah I have both I honestly don't like any of them
7hz zero good clean transparent sound with very good Soundstage better than Chu
But both lack bass bro it's -4 dB below Harman target
Normal people or consumer likes a 12-14 dB bass boost starting from 20 Hz
I like the harman target more with +1 dB little more sub bass
Chu sounds terrible metallic shouty and plasticky
There's a whisling treble in vocals nobody talks about
Virtually no bass
How people can see to like them?
They are basically females or noob old listeners who can't hear below 100 Hz
@@Smzxe did u try cra+ ? I m between cra+ and zero
@@onurkanimer567 yeah I tried CRA+ is very sharp in ssssss sounds unlistenable EDX Ultra is similar
I'd rather buy blon Bl03 if I like bass
Or 7hz salnotes zero is better sounding than both
7hz salnotes zero sounds more cleaner transparent wider soundstage better imaging
But lacks bass
It has little bit of sub bass
If you want bass light sound it's perfect
@@Smzxe Between 7hz salnotes zero and KZ ZSN Pro, which do you recommend? I am a balanced sound lover but also enjoy a deep well balanced bass.
Looking to buy one of them or any other iem you might know that's under $30.
@@nehemiahkasika 7hz salnotes zero doesn't have any proper bass
CRA sounds better than ZSN pro X
Blon Bl03 is the best one for deep bass best vocals and nicer mids and treble a safer listening
CRA treble is too much
ZSN pro X treble is wayy to much
hi zpolt does 7hz Salnotes Zero sound close to NiceHCK DB3? or is it different?
The CRN sounds amazing on my vido earbuds.
Hey Z, I recently got the Tangzu Wan'er and I heard that it sounds a bit better than Chu and zero. Would love to hear your thoughts about it.
Agreed. I'd like to see the Wan'er included in the comparison lineup as well
I'm really really confused because they all sound good to me. I'm a beginner and I wanna know what y'all recommend for a newbie to audiophile like me! 😅
Edit: I have tried moondrop quarks vk4 and they're actually pretty good but my goal is to find an IEM that is both good for listening to music and for gaming 😅
vk4 is the best for me so far but I cannot find any replacement cable in the market
Really best comparison! It's awesome.
Nice, I missed this video format. I thought you're no longer making these now.
Just finished the video, lol I knew A and E were the most familiar to me since I own them :D
CRN and Lea not bad, I think zsn pro x is not for me.
Still confused between Kz ZstX and Salnotes Zero they are about the same price range which one should I buy and why?
Chu and CRN are the best, I love their little added highs against the SALNOTEs zero that is warmer. I have the chu and they are good but my heart beats for hzsound heartmirror with akros modding.. they're two or three steps up
I didn't even realize that letter E and A changed specially on the track (dont hate me) sounds literally the same region
Plz suggest me IEM with mic under $60 looking for wonderful sound presentation too.. thank you for nice video brother 🙏
ABE sound very close, D is the worst for me while I liked C and E right from the start. E is definitely out for me being having non removable cable
Where is blons?
Hi Z! Dang! That intro always gets me! It's as if Freddy suddenly booty shakes after chasing the girls away! Haha!
One question... Are these iems in the video EQ responsive or will they distort on some areas? I'm asking this because i wanna try other iems in these price range. I'm coming from a KZ ZSN Pro X. I know that it is V shaped but I always play with my EQ so i may get the tuning that i want. The ZSN Pro X is very loud and doesn't distort while I play with the EQ. I can say im good with it. Because of the EQ. But still I want to try something new. Hence, my question. Or should i go up the price range?
- ZSN Pro X -- Too v-shaped for me, treble sounds tinny and vocals/mids has lost its body.
- CRN vs Lea -- Very close. Lea has slightly less bass than CRN, thus making the vocals and mid-centric instruments more focused.
- Zero vs CRN -- Also close. CRN has slightly more pronounced "s" and "t" than Zero, and maybe sub-bass (?). Not sure about the bass but price difference makes Zero better bang for buck.
- Chu vs Zero -- Chu has thicker mid-bass and mids than Zero, and vocals more forward. Hard to decide between these two.
I listened using iBasso DC05 dac + Fiio FH3 iem, which is a warm/bassy set, so it might emphasize some freqs.
I can see the hype around Zero and Chu being both cheaper than CRN and Lea.
CRN price is basically now the same as chu/zero tho
@@devaraft
Yeah, its in the ballpark especially with Chu. Depends on the location.
Where I'm at, CRN is $10 more than Zero. Enough for an upgrade cable/eartips or a beater IEM.
Moondrop Chu or Salnotes Zero ? Whc one to buy confused.
I would go with Zero coz of removable cable (potentially longer life). They have similar sound sig anyway so just go with a better built one, which is the zero.
A, B and E sound similar to me. D sounds like crap in my current airpods
Can you do the sub 100$ / 50-90$ ish set soundtest?
for Truthear Zero, Moondrop Aria, Tripowin Mele, Tin Hifi T3+ and Dunu Titan S
Thankyou
Received the CRN as a gift when it was first released. Have been curious about Zero, Chu & Lea with all the positive feedback if I should pick one of them up, no need. Thanks for the demo's.
Crn better technical performance.
Where can I find CRN ? What is it's full name ? I'm not getting it on google. Please help
@@mohitpatil4848 I wouldn't bother with it, so many other sets outperform it now and they were definitely controversial on whether all drivers were working to full potential. It is KZ Zex Pro (Crinacle colaboration).
I'd look to the KZ Castor Black (dual DD's), for under $20, TRN Conch single DD $35, or CCA Rhapsody, (dual DD's 4 BA's) under $50.

I don't like either i had them already they both are defective now
Iem noob here. Need a well balanced with wider soundstage in ear headphones and im interested in blon bl03. If thats not good suggest me a best one.
Hi, earphone award updates soon?
Moondrop Chu 2 vs Blon BL-03 which is better?
Wow, Chu and Zero have almost identical sound. I'm curious if they don't use the same drivers.
No they don't sound same at all
7hz salnotes zero sounds better more refined with bigger soundstage
Chu is more metallic shouty plasticky bass lacking
Both lack bass
But there's a whisling treble in vocals in the Chu which I don't like
However fixed by other silicon eartips but bass is lacking
Don't buy Chu it's horrible
Blon Bl03 is better overall than Chu
If you can change eartips
@@Smzxe I have the Bl03, do you think its better than the Zero?
@@erikvf7 No not at all please avoid these
You will get way less bass boring
You will same mids maybe 7hz salnotes zero sounds little cleaner
But treble is just neutral it's bright but nothing special
Try 7hz salnotes zero only if you can return these and get your refund back
But I can't even return my 7hz salnotes zero
I have to keep it
I never tried blon Bl03
But I have listened to every single IEM under $50 like 7hz salnotes zero Chu CRA EdX Ultra ZSN pro X ZST X ZS10 pro etc Sony MH1 Samsung AKG IG955 earphones everything
These AKG and Sony ones were better than the most
I'm a V-shaped lover, but I liked more the CRN, Chu and Zero. Zsn Pro X was too shouty for me
I can't find CRN on internet. Please can you suggest model number ?
I really liked the A and E ones, slightly more on the A
Damn, the reviews are right
My ears don't deceive me, and I'm quite a basshead
1.a, 2.e, 3.b, 4.c, 5.d (1is best - 5 is worst & crap). could you make comparison like this for tws under $30 next?
This sounds like a 22khz 10 bits recording, why so saturate?
Awesome test
I really like RnB and vocals (Jeremy Passion, Daniel Ceasar, GrantPerez, Bruno Mars). I've gone from MD Spaceship and nicehck traceless. Should I go for salnotes zero or chu? I'm also thinking of Tanchjim zero.
what about the cra+ sir? im confused between zeros & CRA+

@@fortzinsta2986 that's what I'm confused about whether to get the CRA or Salnotes Zero
@@aryanjohnsharma zero
I just got the zero and honest everything sounds almost muffled. Sometimes being warm at the expense of everything else doesn't work.
it's neutral almost flat sound signature, maybe you got used to kz's elevated treble or you're using foam tips
What can you say with QKZ x HBB?
My playlists are full of rap and hip-hop. you recommend me ? Under 15$ . I had my eyes set on kz edx pro . This will be my first iem I guess what do you think?
Get the CCA CRA, easily the best at that price!
Don't buy edX pro! edX is much better
I'm confused about the other commenters here picking which sound from the video is ok for them. If you're listening to this video on your phone, then what you're hearing is the sound from your phone's speakers and not from the IEM themselves. So how can you tell which IEM is better? To be able to determine that, you have to use each IEM personally. Am I missing something?
I thought the Salnotes Zero sounds good but judging by this test, this IEM is way too overrated. Sounds muddy without any sound separation at all. The KZ did the best even though it is bright it can always be toned down with EQ.
cca cra+ or salnotes zero ?
zero and chu are almost the same sounding, with zero a little bit better for me. ofcourse i am basing this on the limited setup i have. i am listening this through a laptop, no dac and a sennheiser cx180 and is it just me or the zsn pro x is way too sharp on the higher frequency.
Any budget iem recommendations? I mostly listen to alternative/indie, electropop, hiphop songs..
Pls make , chu 2 vs moondrop may dsp sound quality comparison
I miss this content man.
The Chu sounded best for me.
A and E are the best ones here
ZSN Pro X has no place anymore in the sub $30 contender. You should replace it with CCA CRA Plus

CRN model ?
What is CRN full name ... Just give me the link 😬
Zero and Chu are identical CRN has best sound. Lea is muddy. ZSN Pro X has wide stage but low volume.
I take these with a huge pinch of salt however, Blind A and E were obviously the better iems. But still sound shit through this especially in the treble.
please include tangzu waner I heard it is better than 7hz zero and moondrop chu
Chu and Zero are same sound and very close crn
Ps, just a coincidence, but I was wearing the Zeros when I stumbled across this!!
The heck zsn pro X😂🤣
Lea more on vocals it just hurt my ear ✌️
I love the chu and Zero.
I have the ZSN Pro X and it sounds very different from this recording. For me, it was a big disappointment when I bought it, but a long burn-in has improved it a lot so some of its qualities are much more evident. But it is still too harsh and "in your face", which makes it fatiguing. I have ordered some Zeros which I hope would be more to my liking.
All the recordings sound very bad to me so it's clear why recording IEMs is close to pointless as the sound you hear most likely is very far from the real thing, the result being much more misleading than informative.
And yes, I use decent quality headphones when listening to this (Much better than the ZSN Pro X).
it's not utterly pointless i've heard some believable demos out there, and no offense to the guy but this channel's demos especially are just lo-fi as hell, probly poor or obstructed mics and wrong or no eq compensation on the rig
How do you feel about Zsn pro x and Zero? Did you tried Chou aswell? I was wandering to change from Zsn pro x to zs10 pro or Zero
Hey are you gona do cra+ in this list? Zero and zero i can choice 😭😭
I've actually picked B - CRN and E - CHU and I truly dislikes LEA.....
Except ZSN Pro X, all were equally good (for my taste)
Bro Chu and 7hz salnotes zero recording is same I can say that

@@Smzxe Thank you for the response. I've heard audio samples of the ZSN Pro X and they are horrible. But what I had asked was the Zsn Pro. I wanted that comparison because I've own the KZ ZSN and kinder liked its sound. So I was thinking of an upgrade to either the ZSN Pro or the 7hz salnotes zero. Zero is the best. CRN has some middle-high frequency that I did not like. Lea is too muffled. ZSN PRO X is too artificial U tunning. Chu has a little shorter frequency range than the zero. So the zero wins!
Salnotes🔥🔥
A > E > B > C > D ... D is awful bad.
mine would be similar too.. just interchange b and c
Chu and zero are best
In the blind test I like zero the most and second was chu lol
My blon 03 still best comparing with these
Zero has a clean sound.
CRN vs CRN
All of them are not for treble sensitive

@@Smzxe hey seeing you a lot in the replies and I just wanted to ask. I think I like the Chu more and I like how there’s a microphone option I could use. I was gonna get it but I heard a lot of quality control issues on the chu where one of the sides are weaker in sound. Have you experienced this? Should I just get the zero’s instead just to be safe.
@@Marstio1 i had the chu for 4 months. you can give them a suck if channel imbalance occurs, the biggest problem with it is no detachable cable and the cable is not good.
You can easily spot the zsn on this blind test 🤣
sibilancr
and not in a good reason...
The easiest sound test ever.
I picked up this order in the round 1, and the order kept getting confirmed with each passing round.
5 > 1 > 2 > 3 > 4
Chu > Zero > CRN > Lea > ZSN
why zsn pro sound like that i thought they were good
Ayaw ko po yung D (Blind IEM 4)
