I understand where you're coming from about feeling like people might not wanna hear from you since you're not currently employed as a therapist, but let me tell you that that's definitely imposter syndrome talking and it's not true at all! I really look forward to your videos and I've learned so much about mental health social work from you. I really like your way of explaining things! Thank you for being so honest and open about your life. I'll definitely check out those book recommendations too 😊 Love from an aspiring mental health social worker/therapist in Canada ❤

Your frustration about being unemployed is completely valid, and I want to remind you that you deserve a work environment that helps you grow personally and professionally. This also means feeling respected, and that the hospital/agency has your best interests at heart, including safety. Without these things, we cannot do our best work and clients are ultimately impacted. I'm not an expert by any means, but I had similar experiences working in an agency during my masters program. Wishing you peace and clarity as you continue your journey! 🖤

Wow... i feel so validated through this. Thank you.. you’re so right! It’s hard to not get desperate during these times... I keep trying to make excuses to put myself back in potentially unsafe job environments! When I KNOW I deserve better! Thank you for your words and your time, I appreciate you!

Thanks for your videos. I’m also a social worker. Your honesty and vulnerability are inspiring. Thanks for creating authentic content for us during these challenging times. We are all in this, together. I hope you receive the support you need to be the great social worker that you are. It’s more than a job, it’s a lifestyle. Thank you for being a light worker in such dark times. Cheers

Hi! I love your videos and have been binge watching them all. Question - you said you think things would've been easier if you stayed in NYC. Could you please make a video about the process of moving and transferring your credentials from state to state? :)

Ahaha! Thanks for watching! That is a wonderful video suggestion, I’ve definitely had it on my video to do list! I’ll be sure to get it up in the near future! Because trust me... its been rough! Hopefully my pain can help some others in some positive way!

Were you still gathering hours when you moved from NYC? just wondering if the hours transferred from state to state or do you have to start over again in order to get your LCSW?

Hey there. Hope this finds you well. Have you applied at VA? They have been hiring SW like crazy this year. Lots of opportunities for SWs and good 💰.
