- Railyard is located in Hutto, Texas, within RCR Taylor Logistics Park -- which transports newly built vehicles from Tesla Gigafactory Texas, to the world.
Gigafactory Texas is an automotive manufacturing facility in Austin, Texas built by Tesla, Inc. A 2,500 acre facility along the Colorado River that produces Model Y and Cybertruck.

Great Cybertruck and Drone synchronization between railcars! Elegant and informative.
Thanks! Some tense moments there hoping I could keep up. But then again, they can only drive so fast inside those trains.
Appreciate the feedback.
Soon these Tesla will park and load by itself.
Great catch following a CT as it moved through the bogies. Loved it! Thank you for filming the Taylor rail yard so frequently.
Thank you! I'm finding out the distance to Taylor/Hutto is about the same as Del Valle (Gigafactory). So I'll likely be there a bit more often now. Especially with the new Samsung plant nearby.
phenomenal footage and flying. thanks
You're most welcome...thank you for the feedback!
Nice thank you so much.❤❤
You have to be in good shape to do all that walking..I can’t imagine how hot it gets in the summer driving all those cars after sitting on those transport vehicles in the sun..
@michaeljohnson1805 This brings back memories, though in my case the big issue was dealing with cold. It was a good day when we received a shipment of Civics. They would ALL start, and ALL drive off. Maybe one car with a dead battery because they left the interior light on. No worries about starting a Diesel truck with Summer diesel.
Thanks. Loved seeing how they do that.
Maravilha de documentário grata por poder assistir sucesso sempre no aguardo dos próximos sucesso sempre amigo
Such cool atmospheric yet detailed footage! Thanks so much!
You're most welcome, thanks! I have lots more "b-roll" from yesterday, but it became overwhelming to edit, so figured I would release it raw on X or add it to to the next video.
Nice job of explaining the train loading system.
Railroads have provided such reliable service for 40 years.
Major cities have railroad terminals where the autos are unloaded and trucked to customer delivery centers.
Thank you! Love all things trains! Boring Co. building a multimodal tunnel from Giga to Hutto would be interesting, however probably cost prohibitive? (at least for now) As it's around 25 miles between the two facilities.
Good thinking. There are railroad lines closer that could build a lead to a yard north or more likely south of the factory. It could directly load the cars. A tunnel could connect directly to the factory.
Cars only will fit through the size tunnels being built.
Thank you!
Looks like the best get-a-way car for your next bank heist would be a white Tesla.
How many hours they load a train like that?
Hope to stay there long enough one day to get video and time it.
You have to be in good shape to do all that walking
Great stuff. Someone good @ math needs to figure out how long it takes a guy to load a transport, drive to Hutto, unload and drive back to Giga Texas. Then how many transport trips are needed to fill up all those rail cars. Am I blind are there doors that can be closed between the rail cars or are the cars open to the elements?
I might try out a video depicting all that you mentioned with regards to the time it takes from beginning to end.
It does appear there are sliding doors at each end of the train cars. Some of them were closed ;-)
Thanks for the feedback!
Y'know, FORD too is building a big ass factory they call BLUE OVAL CITY MEGA FACTORY near memphis. First thing FORD did was get the local RR to build a spur onto their new factory property. No paying truckers to haul new trucks 40 miles to the railhead. WHY has Tesla not done the same? They have plenty of space on their Texas property. Dunno, must be a good reason BUT score and extra point for FORD.
!
why can't they just drive themself? do not by an auto hauler in the future. you will go wanting.
Tesla Semi beats rail in a convoy scenario.
This is not remotely true. If it performs to the promised spec, yes the Teams semi in convoy mode will have a lower operating cost per mile verses a typical train. What Mr Musk failed to mention is that the convoy is limited to one container per truck. I will let you look up how many containers a typical train can carry. So the transport cost per container is significantly lower by rail verses the convoy semi.
@@RR-dm8mw But Musk said it is true. Was he lying or did he just not know any better?
The auto carrier is a feat of engineering with the hydraulics, etc.
Yes! Legacy technology but still so very effective. That was the first time I had ever seen a big-rig off load vehicles...was actually fascinated by it all..
