I've done summoner against this boss before and I needed a few things from astrum aureus and just a sentry from the Astral infection and I was able to kill the boss with pre-boss stuff but it took over a thousand attempts to do so. On my next playthrough I might just get the butterfly summon which I had to kill ravager for that when I was practicing with it. And ironically enough ravager is pretty easy as summoner. (And somehow much easier was summoner than any other class.(at least from my experiences with ravager)) (and I believe if you play rogue or melee I think this boss might be the easiest with those two classes.

On my first calamity mod play through it took my about 60-70 tries to beat plaugbringer, when it was all said and done I was so broken by the whole ordeal that I ended my play though right then and there and didn’t touch calamity for like another 4 months to which I actually did beat him with relative ease which if anything just pissed me off even more.
Currently on my first calamity playthrough (expert revengeance, currently at Providence) took me 25 attempts which is by far the most I have spent on a single boss

On all seriousness though, i hated this boss as much as Astrum Aureus, i guess melee weapons aren't that good for a giant, incredibly fast bee. Edit: I'm doing a true melee playthrough now and I take back what I said, Plaguebringer Goliath is amazing, such a good fight. Astrum Aureus can still go choke on a fat one though.

Very fun bossfight on expert ranger, the music just adds to the enjoyability. Same goes for Calamitas (not sure what Supreme Calamitas will be like). Edit: accidentally beating Astrum Deus with no healing potions was fun
@@giran4914 It makes the game at ton more fun. Adrenaline and rage, upgraded bosses , like for example, the desert scourge has two little piss babies that it uses to fight alongside it. It’s a lot more fun and a ton more rewarding to beat bosses.

Did I miss something with the Plaguebringer fight? She was fairly easy for me to beat the first time around on Revengeance. I will say it was a cool fight throughout. Calling the nukes in coupled with the sfx made for an aesthetically pleasing fight.
