I recently started calamity blind.
I was in early hardmode fishing when I was confused as to why opera was playing, went into the water, killed the ??? Out of curiosity and got my ass sent right back to my spawn

@@timedeathe if you're skilled you can do it right after you get a decent set of wings, they're attacks while they hit like a steam roller can be dodged. counter scarf really does work in the fight as well

@@lmao-nr2ty Essentially, to summarize the lore really badly:
Old: You just killed a depressed elderly couple who finally found happiness with each other after they either were abandoned and forgotten, or betrayed by those closest to them
New: I believe it's a lady who got driven out of her home by Silva's corpse, and she's with her fat pet fish that she shared a very loyal bond with where they'd face death if it meant saving the other
Leviathans story always saddened me, she is the only one of her kind and has no one else to reproduce with, but finds solace in a friend, Anahita, who was also as alone as Leviathan. Poor gals, they just wanted happiness.

The worst part of knowing the lore is that you dont want to kill the bosses anymore

Honestly, these are such a weird breath of fresh air when it comes to Calamity themes... Most of them are energetic, action-packed and absolutely epic... Whilst these ones are not that. They are epic, sure, but they are way more laid back, especially the first two, and boy are they tragic and almost tear-jerking! Truly unique amongst the Calamity lineup. And of course, Dokuro knocked it out of the park!

Songs like this one, infernal catharsis, feral amalgamation and interstellar stomper are so underrated but as a musician they are SO INTERESTING and definitely my favourites over the more well known ones. Of course I do like DoG's theme but then everyone does and it definitely gets old a little quicker than the ones I mentioned earlier imo because of how engaging they are

@@_Tzer Anahita adds a bit more depth to the character than just a siren. The name goes back to the Phyragian Goddess of the same name. Thank SMT V for that bit of knowledge.

I've been trying to get the Pearl of Entrallment for at least an hour.
the first four times I fought it (in quick succession) I didn't get it, but now when I'm trying to kill it, she won't spawn.
guess she finally learned from her mistakes, but that doesn't benefit me
The lev is the most detailed boss in calamity. It almost looks 3D
When I first encountered her I was at the ocean just shooting the terrablade into the water to try to light it up and thus accidentally triggering this boss lol
sirens war cry is my favorite calamity theme
It's so good, I love the high notes, they give me chills
When forbidden lullaby kicks in, there is such a melancolic, sad, and i could even say hope, yet astoundingly epic feeling, this song is completely amazing, it's unique since have nothing to do with the other bosses, but dude, Dokuro is a talented Genius, the entire Calamity OST shows how one person with dedication can make Videogame soundtracks at the level or much better than millionaires Triple-A games

ok so, I may have forgot this was the trilogy and had this on another tab jamming, then the war cry part started playing and it made me jump a bit
This has gotta be my one of my favorite bosses I spent so long fighting them improving my gear and learning the attack patterns especially the stupid bubble attack the lore is good theme is good fight is good and that victory was so sweet after all the deaths I suffered

just beat this pre-hardmode in eternity +death mode w/ a friend using gear from aquatic scourge, it took forever but we got lucky as hell with them not both aggro-ing the same person for the most part
the drop at 7:40 goes so hard. Def planning to fight this boss once I get there!
I was playing blind and just farming ocean enemys to try and get a pirate map with zerg potions so I can get the drops from the invasion, then me not learning my dam lessons from perferators and astrum dues (I willingly used a titan heart on the platform) when I heard the strange theme and chose to kill her, about 5 seconds later my ass was same day delivered back to spawn

I see what you mean, but it's not the same motif. There's more notes beyond the part that sounds like Infestation.
according to the lore, crabulon was an ocean crab that found its way into the mushroom caves where it died, so it does make a little sense that it shares a small bit of motif with the ocea boss
