My wife still uses this phone and never complains about it. It must be ok because she complains alot.
She must say it's too heavy ?
😂
😂😂😂
😂
😂😅 don't let her see this oh boi u won't have a good time 😂
My S20 FE 5G still rocks. The plastic back doesn’t matter when I’m carrying it in an OtterBox Defender case anyway.
Believe me, I have this phone now for more then 2 years and everything is still working fully 100% perfect. Only thing that I bought for it 2 days ago is a new case and screen protector and it looks back like 100% new. The new S23 will stay there.
It got my'ne for $165 on eBay and it's in very good condition. An absolute steal
Yes, true. May I ask how the battery holding up throughout the day? Basic tasks with 120 hz on ( check messages, news, social media, calling, play some lightweight games).
Thanks!
@Carl214 To be honest, it's not holding up that well, it can barely manage 5 hours SoT under medium to heavy usage. I will change the battery later though
@@venator7889 Appreciated the quick reply! You can use an app called "Accubattery" to check your battery percentage. From what you've said, the battery may have dropped below 4k or even below 3k5. Five hours is pretty decent, I like that.
Lol I just got one
Been using this phone for over a year now, and it's ridiculously good for the price. It's fast, it's waterproof, the screen is great, the cameras are more than enough, and the battery life is great as well that I only have to charge like twice a day max. This is a one time miracle from samsung lol
Charging twice a day seems kind of much doesnt it? Or you mean when using intensively all day long?
@@jjd1070 I usually do a full charge in the morning before going to work. When I get home at around 5 PM I still have at least 30% battery left and immediately charge it again for use before bedtime. I'm not a heavy user but I do play games, watching RUclips and what not during the day. I avoid overnight charging as it's unsafe cause there's still a chance for the battery to randomly explode and burn your house down lol
Turn battery saver on and it last all day from 7am to 10pm with medium usage I have 30% left
I just ordered this phone earlier and based off the spec sheet it's honestly a crazy good deal. I got it for $160-ish dollars refurbished off backmarket and I get a 1 year warranty too. Some pros I've noticed (based off spec sheets) are 120 hz amoled display, 4,500 mah battery (which is bigger than my S10 Plus and bigger than the regular S20), and it has practically all of the features that the mainline S20 had. Also the Snapdragon 865 is a major bonus too. My only gripe is that it doesn't have a headphone jack. Also the plastic back is kind of bad or good depending on who you are. It might be bad if you prefer premium feeling phones, but it's good because it won't shatter or be a fingerprint magnet. This is an upgrade from my cracked up S10 Plus and with it having 99.99 percent of flagship features all for $160? Yeah I'm not complaining.
So backmarket is legit?
@@LordJesusDiedforUs yes it is, just getting one today,
@@LordJesusDiedforUsyep ordered a couple phones from there for family members and myself
@@LordJesusDiedforUsi bought from them 3 phones ,they are fantastic ( back market c.s).after 11 month the battery gave up and and they offered me to send it back or to pay for my bat change .I mean who is offering this ? Amazon is 90 day return and thats it .give a try.
@@LordJesusDiedforUs Yes, I just bought a a71 if you didn't know any better you couldn't tell their phones were refurbished.
Got the 5g version as a work phone back in summer of 2021 and it runs great. Granted I really only use this to text, call, internet, and our tech app.
Will be buying this phone (the 5g Snapdragon variant) this week!! It's a reward for myself for doing well in uni bcs I absolutely did not expect to pass at all😩.
Congrats bro..BTW what's uni bcs?

@@penguin_1293 yo is the camera good? It recently lowered in prices and I wanna upgrade.
@@otzu333 price is insanely low right now it's crazy, found it for like £183 - if you bought the phone, do you recommend?
I bought the S20 FE a while back after watch several of your reviews. I love this phone. Thanks for all your work.
My note20 got stolen and fell azzbackwards into buying an s20 fe 5g and I am so thankful I did, it's just as good as my note, coupled with the fact I can have a terabyte of storage I actually feel it is somewhat better!
I just orderd 1 of these from the tmobile site after 5 years of pure bliss my beloved Note8 broke,(Ive had a note since the very 1st in 2011) I chose this one because of all the S series this 1 is closes in size to my note without a $2k+ price tag (the S23 hits stores this fri its also big) Im glad to see in the comments & from you its a decent phone.
I've owned this phone for over 2 years now and I still have no issues. Performance wise It holds up perfectly. The cameras still work and I've never had issues with software or hardware.
Does phone support HD streaming of netflix, prime ?
@@kasthurinathan8885 yep
@SURASSUH yes haha but the camera on some S20 phones have stopped working
I got the 5g Version and its awesome. I love this phone. When I play Call of Duty mobile... it runs smoothly. I'll be keeping this phone for a few more years.
Same
the software update make it possible..
Mine is a pos. It just quit working after the battery died..black screen of death ☠️ I won't buy another one.the camera's are nothing special...
The S23 series is coming out and the S23 has a faster processor when u buy it in the us
@@leovazquez6188 All S23 models come with the powerful Snapdragon 8Gen2 processor, no Exynos.
I got this in 2021, it’s still my main phone and have no plans to upgrade. It does everything I need to do, I taken to work, listen to post cast and music on it all day, launch breaks I’m gaming or watching vids for hr, and lasts all day and play all the games I need to plus, even the ps2 emulator work pretty well. The only weak point I would say is the front camera, but a great phone, that hopefully will last me a least another two years. (I usually upgrade every 4 years )
Snapdragon ? or exynos
@@YTtopPAULO Snapdragon, 5G version.
@@amigang iam waiting to buy it can you tell me it good or bad ?
@@YTtopPAULO Its a great phone, 4k video support, stable vids are great, 5G is amazingly fast in the cityies, and gaming is really good, it will play all the PSP games I can throw at it, and quite surpise even PS2 emulator work pretty well. I think its likly the best value Samsung Phone you can buy. Beats a lot of cheaper chinese phone phone for its extra features like Samsung Dax etc.
amigang please may I ask: Does this phone capture good quality well detailed 4K videos on the main camera?
I want to use it to make RUclips videos and I'm thinking about buying it.
Would really appreciate your answer
This phone was honestly the best phone in terms of value when it was released. Mainly because you could always find it for half price. I picked this up a month after launch for 350 and man it really held up. Please note though that this device only has one more update left on it basically.
is this or the normal s20 better because the s20 is around 250
Its better than the normal version
@@joeghaoui1229 The s20 fe cuts some corners to lower the price but 9/10 ppl wont notice if they are considering to buy this phone
Why do people care about updates? That's usually just annoying when it forces you to constantly download updates
@@joel.ha. I mean major updates that add features. I think it has a couple years of security updates though to.
I still have mine going strong store almost 2 years as my backup to my 13 pro max. Battery life and charging speeds are average at best although not as bad if strictly on wifi
Bought the s20fe here in India couple of weeks ago, it had a manufacturing date of Jan 2023 on the box.
I am planning to buy too bro ,how's ur user experience bro ?
@@Smashchamp980 i am a light user(no games), got it for 25k. For that price, its the most VFM product. Getting good battery life(8 hrs SOT at 60hz), OneUI 5 is smooth, 5.1 coming soon. FIrmware updates will mostly end after that. Security updates will last till oct 2024.

@@storm2vega Is it Exynos model? I'm having the same and battery isn't that great. Given it has passed 2years+, thinking of replacing battery.
@@AnkitSingh-X 5g. Snapdragon 865
I had one of these when I upgraded from a substantially old phone. For the years I had it. It was an absolutely great phone until I recently had to replace it due to some issues it was having.
Wat issue
Gotta us these specific phone for the company I contract for. Love the fact that it doesn't have the glass back because the other s models I've had where very quickly spider-webbed.
For most of the population, this phone is still a solid choice.6 gb ram,SD processor, Android 13.Amoled screen 120 Hz.HDR10+. Good cameras with Ois(even 3x optical zoom). Dual sim or one sim and micro sd.I dont know what is missing for an average user.
This is my current phone, its been the best samsung i ever owned, still good.
You don't really need anything better than 1080p, especially if it's 120hz. I'd take better battery life over barely noticeable resolution anyday, and for a much lower price.
You can adjust the display to be 1080 and us 60 hz
I've had my S20 FE since Sept 2021 and its still holding up fine. Battery still lasts a full day with how i use it. 120hz has no appeal to me so I keep it off, and its easy to get over 60hz if you turn on "Remove Animations" in your accessablility settings. Everything just happens instantly. Plus keeping power saving on basically ensures it'll never die.
My average screen time is about 7 hours (ouch) with the majority of that going to RUclips, Discord, Chrome, or streaming my desktop through Steam Link. And while I do charge it every night, I probably don't need to.
Also the water/dust resistance really does work well. I've dropped it in running showers at least twice, and I've fully submerged it in a (thankfully empty) toilet with no problems.
Looking up the prices, I'd say its still worth it if you plan to use it like i do.
I've had my S20 FE since March 2021 (upgraded from the S9+, which had some battery problems), and it has served me well up until today. I'm planning to upgrade it to the S24+ this year.
I use the phone for 1 year exactly, It is a Samsung flagship really. It is a very capable phone. Fast, reliable, never hanging, top performance even if you play heavy games. It's a quality phone and behaves like a flagship. Strongly recommended it. Samsung will support it with software updates till September 2023 and with security updates till September 2024. This means that you can use this phone without any security issues till half of 2025, almost 2 years from now. That's good, isn't ?
I got mine on launch day and unluckily dropped it and shattered the screen so it was £200 for a new screen so I binned it and bought a new one because I didn't know what damage was going inside. And I still love the phone, never no problem and runs everything perfectly fine and the camera is solid and 4k is absolutely brilliant. Definitely I recommend for the money.
Ah, the last Samsung phone with an SD card slot.
R.I.P. to that feature.
What in the world happened to the camera section of that phone? Looks like you hit it with an ice pick! lol
Protect him from a bullet shot, it was in his shirt pocket
One of the best galaxy phones... Well built, light weight, great size and performance.
Bought it in 2021
Still using it
Pretty good
I wish it has a glass back but its not a big deal
My uncle's hand me down s20+ developed green lines after a software update :( I'm really hesitant in buying any phones from the s20 line but the s20 fe seems really promising in the second hand market. Is the s20 fe an exception to the green line issue? would love some thoughts on this
yes
Thanks for the honest update. I use the phone for 13 months. The phone is truly capable, multitasking isn't a problem, and the performance is super.
Just bought one for £170 from CEX in the UK, it looks like a great upgrade from my A71.
All the A series are fake Samsung 😮😅
@marcelomastroiani I'm actually kind of regretting the upgrade, the S20FE has a nicer screen but it's missing some camera features and isn't quite as big as the A71.
I just found one of these on marketplace for $50. A steal for what you get.. I just wanted an android to use with my Backbone controller and I couldn’t have asked for a better deal to find. Especially since this is one of the last Samsung phones to have a micro sd slot.
I've had this phone for a couple of years now. Hope to keep it for several more!
But it's heavy as hell
@@Matowixlol it's not that heavy , imo
I've had mine since it was first available. It's very good with everything, although like all Samsungs its impossible to get good photos.
It's been on 10+ hours today, and still has 53% battery.
I'm using my phone much so can I see series, RUclips mm 8-10 hours?? Thanks for answers!
Still have mine and it's still great. Best of all it still has expandable storage. When this phone gives up I'll buy from the A range because expandable storage is essential for me.
Sd865 is still a beast today
Microsd slot bless this phone more
my phone is about 2 and a half years old. I've got a cracked screen and the glass around the camera is shattered (though i scraped it out of the way and it functions fine). Wondering if it's worth fixing, buying a replacement or getting a newer model. It's been really good - meh, don't know what to do.
I bought this phone as second hand. It's even better than my previous one, Redmi Note 10, which I bought 3 years ago. It's 2024 and it's still rocking!
I have a question. Do all models of this phone come with dual SIM or are some single SIM?
The battery is one of the best of the S series starting from 2020 models up until today. According to GSM Arena stats, you have to get an S23 Ultra to get a better overall battery score.
I have had this for over a year, and can’t recall a time that I needed a charge before I got home, even after 1 am. And I often get 2 days of average use.
I just got one refurbished off eBay and I turned it on, it had 90% battery, didn't touch or use it for a hour and now it has 85% battery, is this normal? Should I return it? I really needed a device with good battery and I saw reviews saying this one had great battery....
@@bluestargalaxies No not normal. It should at the very least last almost a day with heavy use. Worst case scenario.
Used even 3 hours a day in most cases should get at least 2 days battery. It seems like the battery has been used 1000 charges or more without being changed over, being a refurb and all.
Return it and get another non defective S 20FE from a physical store
@@bluestargalaxies 1hr and just used 5%? That's good for a refurbished, every phone has a standby that takes battery juice even if you're not using it, it also depends on what apps are running in the background. You can adjust it in the settings to lessen or prevent it from those apps.
@@koniku3y I'm going to have to disagree.
I still have 35% after being disconnected from power for 40 hours.
And using it for quite a few hours over the last 2 days and has been on the whole time. I have to admit that since I got an iPad a few months ago, I have been splitting my use between two devices. But still...
No need to look for a wall to charge in public....except maybe extreme use. If you have to do that... probably old or defective battery.
I have had the phone for over a year. Love it, I won't want to trade in for a while.
@@chrislewis615 what did you even disagree for? I didn't even replied to you
I bought this for my little cousin 3 months ago for 245 canadian dollars, turns out his younger brother also needs a phone now, im thinking of picking up the same phone again 😅
I still use the Galaxy S20 FE 5G for almost all videos on my channel, except for the microphone it has great camera and video performance!
I ordered this device for my girlfriend a few months after it came out i was impressed by it as for the overall quality and operation it was right there with my S20+ battery life really good for all day and more it's coming up on two years old!
You don't even have a girlfriend
How about the headphone audio quality? Dose this have DEX?
Good review but when doing a review for anything w a screen turn the brightness up to max, you have it at 15% or so from what ur settings showed. If I didn't see that I would had been sore by the display thinking that's how dull the display looks. Why wouldn't you have it at max so we could get an idea?
The only downside to this phone is that in a case the volume buttons have almost no feel whatsoever. I press them, they work, but it doesn't even feel like anything is happening on my finger.
Look into the Otterbox line of cases. You feel the buttons fine.
Very good phone. No need for s23 at all. Still getting latest updates so I'm keeping hopefully for 2 more years.
im more than happy with it i switched to it from a huawei p10 so it was quite a lot faster and its more than enought for me xD
I see the rear camera glass is broken. This is quite common on non-S Galaxy models. And a good reason to go for competitor OEMs.
I got a screen protector on the front and a screen protector on my rear camera. I have no damage after 2 years. I once dropped my phone on a concrete floor.
The case I got makes it so the rear camera sits BELOW the back. Otherwise, I can easily see this scenario (cracked camera island).
Its worth it, cause I did buy it second hand on dec 2022 for 170$ and it still is amazing phone.
I don't know if it's just my phone, but my phone does get hot or even warm most times while just using it normally
I've had my s20 FE for over 2 years now and still loving it. I will be sticking with it until it dies. Excellent value for money.
really ? 2 years? usually my samsung phones started to die at 1,2 years old. had an s8 and was loosing battery like crazy after a year. then i switched for a oneplus 6 that i'm still using since it got out for like 540€ in 2018, i just changed the battery 2 months ago but it's still holding up good after 5+ years ! now the 20 FE 5g is 170€ i think i should buy this one.
i only wish i had bought the 8gb ram and 256gb model but in my country you couldnt get it anymore but this phone still works really good the battery life is pretty amazing i have it almost 2 years so i can pick a new phone in 2months i think im going to use it one more year but im looking at oneplus 11 what do you guys think should i hold or go for the oneplus? or the a54 that phone in my eyes is bang for youre buck it still has sdcard slot and the 256gb model is still good price and the updates you get up to 16 or 17 but chipset exynos is ok and the battery life is really good but so is the oneplus i can wait till october i see what the prices do if the oneplus drop to my liking im going for it, it also has 888 gen 2 but i don't know about the software of oneplus i heard some say its good and some say it sucks. Tell me which phones would you pick don't have to be in my list.
Will the USB-C port on a Samsung S20 accept audio from an mp3 player while recording a video?
I got 1 question. Is the Galaxy S9+ better then this S20 FE ? My S9+ is under a warranty program where if it gets damaged, I will get a new or almost new phone with my $99. deductible. However, there are NO MORE S9+'s in inventory so they are sending me the S20 FE. Did they screw me over ?
Got mine in good condition for 180 on backmarket.
Nice review thanks
I have this device since it launched and it's still awesome no complaints.
How's the camera? Is it HD and can it take moon pics? I really upgrade
@@otzu333it is an acceptable camera like he said in the video, but it doesn’t have the latest features. It cannot take pictures of the moon any better than a normal phone.

Would you get this or the s21 fe for $100 more??? I'm trying to decide between the two... This is $165

There is not a huge difference in real life performance between the chips, and cameras are the same. But the s20fe has microsd..i would go with this
i bought it at 2020, it still working great.
But it's heavy as hell
@Matowix I have the 20s fe and it's not heavy 😂
it's a good phone I feel the battery performance and charging speed is less. Also, the loudness level is low compared to the same flagship series of Samsung and other phones in the segment. Overall, in terms of value for money, it's a decent choice
I've had this phone for almost 2 years, I love it, Samsung is going to have a hard time getting me to upgrade, they are gonna have to pry it out of my cold hands 😅

I bought mine less than two years ago for less than 400 €. My wife just got her brand new S23 FE and when helping her setting it up I found out that I rather keep mine over the newer one.
I have this phone and I'm having difficulty finding another phone that I like as much as this one. This phone is my favourite. And morecso than the s3.

Battery is great though
Im watching this on a S7... I have no idea what you're talking about when you say the s20fe isnt going to last much longer 😂
S7 was my favorite phone
Looked more like an a51 they should've atleast put an s10e like panel it's 1080p but also uses a cheap 1080p panel
Will nobody question the big crater in the camera
I got an S20 FE 5G 6gb ram and an S8 8gb ram tablet. The tablet has a 2 year newer processor, and I don't notice a performance difference between the two. I don't game but where I look for performance is when websites are loading and refreshing ads. Web pages can take a long time to load because of ads on lower end models.
Would I buy it today ... no. Newer models are the same price on sale. Would I replace it today ... no. New payments would not be worth any advantages newer phones offer at this time to me.
Also the S20 FE 5G has a telephoto lens and not a goofy macro lens. This makes a difference to me.
I have had this phone since it came out and I like it , I just busted the screen o. It so I'm going to go to ebay and buy another for I think I seen them for $200 not bad at all for this phone
