      I use a 50/200 yard zero. It works well for the stadia lines on the viper for anything past 300 out to 500. I don't have a range that I've shot at past 500. Honestly, 500 was still a struggle for me on a consistent basis with a 6x.

    Glad you've had luck with and enjoy your ADM, I wish I could stay the same. I've purchased some of their mounts and a total of 3 factory built guns from them, 1 was direct and 2 were from distributors. I've had a couple mounts that needed replaced for failed parts or manufacturing defects. My 13.9 direct from ADM was flawless, I regret selling it to a buddy of mine. The other 2 guns were an 11.5 and 12.5, both pistols and both had serious issues. The 11.5 had a defective upper receiver that while it fit tight, it had a bad manufacturing issue with the top rail that had an angle instead of being flat, so optics wouldnt' fit on it. I sent the upper in and the replacement was better, but it fit like shit on the lower. I ended up selling that gun. I tried again with the 12.5 and yet again, I had a defective upper where the right side of the pic rail was flat and material was removed where it shouldn't have, so with hard use any optic sitting on it would probably come off or snap off what little material the optic was holding on to. ADM customer service this time was absolutely terrible... I got 2 different set of instructions from 2 different people, no consistency, the email communication was terrible, and 3 weeks after my first email I finally got an email for me to send the upper receiver itself in since I took it all apart myself. They've had it for 2 weeks and I haven't gotten my replacement yet. I'm extremely disappointed with ADM and after the upper comes back, the 12.5 is going away to someone else.

    • @2amichaelj
      @2amichaelj  Год назад

      Damn brother... you've had some bad luck with manufacturers and customer support. I would have some serious issues if I were in your shoes too. I contacted ADM about some general questions about warranty (since I bought the upper from a distributor and a lower 2nd hand) and about the MBUS pros not included in the uppers anymore and they gave a prompt response and made me bet their customer service was pretty good.
      I haven't had any issues with the mounts or anything. When did you purchase your firearms? Maybe during the pandemic when people were buying up anything and everything I know a lot of manufacturers were pumping out products just to fulfill demand. I could see and have heard people having issues with QC with many manufacturers including BCM and Geissele when they're typically known for quality control. That still doesn't explain the lack of customer support.
      I'd be upset with the gun industry in general having issues with so many premium manufacturers if I were you. That's what's kept me away from buying anything Triarc as what you're sharing is what I've heard about companies like them. I'm surprised you had issues with both quality control and customer support from ADM and Radian. Sorry to hear that brother.

    • @triton302
      @triton302 Год назад

      @@2amichaelj I appreciate it, yea it just seems like my luck. My 13.9 was built and shipped peak COVID, my 11.5 was last year and my 12.5 was earlier this month. I should also mention that there was a batch of pistols that accidentally shipped with Magpul stocks on them and my FFL about blew a gasket since he's not certified for NFA stuff, which had to be sorted out from ADM before I could get it transferred with the proper brace so that was fun. I've heard about the horror stories with Triarc so I didn't even bother. I have a Mega GTR-3H set with a SOLGW M76 and M89 rail on the way to do my own 11.5 or 12.5 build so we'll see how that goes. I'd go back to a pin/weld setup but since I've gotten a taste of the short barrel game I'm hooked, so I'll do whatever needs to be done to have something more compact for my needs. My issued patrol rifle is an Adams 11.5 piston and it's very handy for getting it in and out of my cruiser and doing building clearings, and for where I live I don't need anything longer for a personal gun and if I do, I have a Remington .308 for longer distances.

    • @2amichaelj
      @2amichaelj  Год назад +3

      It's unfortunate they raised their prices like 50 days ago. They are worth it, especially if you're looking at something other than a premium mil spec like Geissele, DD, BCM or SOLGW.
      Radian is somehow almost $1,000 more. LWRCs are pretty nice and probably one of the best too. Just not a fan of their shorter handguards. Type A seems solid as well but they raised their prices more expensive than ADM. Then you have overpriced stuff like Cobalt. Interesting manufacturers like Blackout Defense.
      I own and have touched a lot of premium AR15s. This is my favorite if that tells you anything. If you buy directly from ADM code ARMANDGUN will save you a couple hundred. Doesn't do anything for me just a code I found online.

      @@michiganmafiamx5543 it's nice to have matching receiver sets. Honestly, I've been training with ADM and Radian lowers and while they're both great, the price really isn't worth the extra cost. There's never been a time I cleared a malfunction or dropped the bolt with my right index and thought "wow, this was so much better". It's convenient and nice don't get me wrong but a magpul bad lever on a mil spec lower with a little tweaking can get the same job done too.
      No it wouldn't be heresy. I bought the lower first for a good price and then wanted a full build. I'd keep an eye out for a blem, sale or one used if you really want a matching receiver set.

    I'm curious what is the brand of 45 degree mount.

    • @2amichaelj
      @2amichaelj  Год назад +1

      Arisaka OOM or offset optic mount. You'll have to buy the base and mounting plate of your choice. It's actually offset at a 35 degree offset but if you turn the tower around it becomes 45 degree offset. Pretty nice. They come in lower 1/3 (1.57) and tall (1.93") optic heights depending on the plate you get. The base runs about $100, $85 on sale and each optic plate is $20-$25.

    • @2amichaelj
      @2amichaelj  Год назад +1

      Arisaka runs 10% off everything on their website about once a month. Free shipping and no tax on orders making the complete optic mount (minus optic of course) for like $110. These are extremely durable and if you want to change optics at any point you can just buy a $20 optic plate. You can use the same tower and the actual plate is what designates the optic height, not the tower.
      I did a video on offset optic mounts if you're interested in seeing maybe a little more in-depth view of different optic mounts including the Arisaka OOM.

    100% I am currently Manatee County Florida ATF took away our counties gunsmith over minor clerical errors after 48 years as a master gunsmith and always having a positive relationship with the fucking ATF but anyway the range is a go to I honestly like letting people try out my shit because a lot of the time I build my own firearms for example my M4 A1 row 2 with the Centurion arms CHF double CL machine gun steel barrel yes 4150 CMV but they double chrome behind the bore definitely a seven minute barrel for sure 14 52.2 pounds same profile as the original colt SOCOM but wanted to try something that was a little bit nicer and I’m running unity holographic set up and share a fire with a club defensive now my short barrel I’m waiting on my radian upper and a Noveske 416R stainless 300 blk barrel for the upper and since radian model ones have such a good reputation is one of the reasons is the Tate fitment and talking to them today a few times I did find that you do have to sometimes use a torch to get the barrel in to the extension you need to heat your threads where the barrel slides In Who has a barrreled light with four cross bolts and a integrated leg centering pin for the gun to not lose zero for IR or irons especially right now MK 410 three Daniel barrel surprisingly not over gas run a super 42 H2 I run them and everything else to run their triggers and the MK 4/8 and the Mk13 tho they discontinued the 13 But they’re able to take very hard it’s there solid good to go
    I switched with one guy who had a suppressed MP five so that’s pretty sweet he’s like I don’t worry I got like 1000 rounds here and it’s on my SOT but at this point if Embrace is considered to be a short barrel A.R. them just run a stock they’re just trying to piss people off next they’re going to say no buffer tube because they make they got more concealable smh but I cocaine in the White House what the Hells going on here this is why our country is fucked up I don’t forget a firearm like my phone it’s sad now that this country is become what it is but only certain areas really has usually the high liberal areas where this crumbs happen but you always Gotta be prepared for anything like a tyrannical government a government is just know what they’re doing and cheated on an election yes changes
    Anyway radian surefire warcomp coulda got 4 prong but ughh no I chose warcomp neutral and a noveske 416r barrel In 300 blk out and a 10.5 barrel 10 inch rail and it’ll be in just enough for what I’m thinking the SPS or the 762 but I got a wait for the rest of the radius of a SD3G trigger the BCM forward angled grip so I can activate my light whether it’s it’s the DS07 set up in a cloud defensive mount how many scout pro show is waterproof there’s a tape switch and a momentary as it also has a secondary push button on the tail cap next to it which is not connected to the tape switch so it will still work if it tape switch fails so if I get a push and doesn’t work I just threw my thumb over the top and hit the push button if I’m in that scenario but I just like that set up I said every rifles white light the same way I think as you said your progress is shooter and your set ups it start to become certain Mike minor more streamlined for the most part other than if it’s got a scope with an offset then it’s not gonna be too streamlined but I’ve been dying to finish a radium and have a complete model one I love the lower even if you’re right handed your love having complete NB controls like if you’re right handed to rock the boat back pull the charging handle and push the trigger finger on the magazine release as it is the ADAC system Like if you have a failure or catastrophic failure like a double fee and it locks the bolt and the magazine drops and can clear a double feed but I’m not boasting none of my building ever had double feeds but show my progression it was posting advantage barrels to Roscoe nitrated to Daniel cold hammer forced to centurion arms saw 4150 grade steel (crane spec Gasport size same Get the Gasport size is .070 on the 10.3 and it the 14 five it is .0615) now Noveske 416 R stainless 300 blk so I will see how it performs is cross penned from the factory hopefully has a beautiful tight seal and speaking of seals Navy SEALs I saw you recently using that exact barrel that I just bought and I need of sad I want the full and be on a noveske but I’m left-handed and they probably have certain tolerances with forged or billet or whatever
