No they were pretty similar in size and I tried the Medium in this Roan review. thegoodride.com/snowboard-pant-reviews/volcom-roan-bib-2016-2023-snowboard-pant-review/. I accidentally put large in the review but in the vid it says medium. The vid is correct. Sorry!
Thanks for doing the review. I’m 5’8” 158lbs. Would the small or medium be the better fit? You mention the tightness at the waist and wonder if I should go with the larger of sizes 🤔
It really depends on the rest of your specs. If you have thicker thighs like I do (check sizing to see how your thighs compare to mine) then medium might be a bit tight there and you should just get another bib. The Large will be pretty big for your height/weight. If you have thinner/more normal thighs then they should be fine.
An update to help anyone in a similar scenario: just got a size Small for my specs and I’m getting the tightness unless I really tighten the suspenders. The problem there is that now the pants section is nearly jammed up your mommy-daddies… Might try a Medium…wonder if that will help because I love everything else about the product
Got the Medium. It’s definitely baggy on my frame but I notice a lot less tightness when I bring my knees up towards my chest (like when you bend over to ratchet your bindings). I DO have to tighten the straps to the max. I’m keeping it because I love the performance of my old Volcom GTX stuff and the quality is great. I hope they fix the weird fit by the next time I buy!
@@jonnyjonjonjrshabadoo6565 I went 1 size up on these and they fit a bit roomy everywhere and baggier but that is how I like it. I hate being restricted in outerwear. Worst is when you’re wearing something a little too slim and you take a fall and your outwear rips because it’s too restricted. Also grabbed a pair of these from “The House” liquidation sale a couple weeks back. Got mine for around $250 shipped.
@@andrew-ib1pk thanks Andrew! I’ll try the size up. I’m all for function over form and want the most range and comfort above all. Also lucky that you got your bib during their sale. They went really fast!
Do these run smaller than the Roan? I noticed you wore a large in the roan but a medium in the rain. I’m 5 ft 9 190 lbs

Ha! Yeah give medium a try. Especially if you have a longer inseam for your height.

Is there a zipper in front for being able to easily use the restroom?
Yep
would this work with ski boots?
Sure
Would it be ok to size 1 up?
Yeah if you wan more room for a lot of layering.

@@andrew-ib1pk hi Andrew, did you end up getting the bib in a size up? If so, how’d it go? Thinking of doing the same
