Firstly, Ruiz Jr is taller, much much heavier and much stronger(and a better chin) than Froch ever was. Lets not forget who Froch was, a career long Super Middleweight who showed a great chin at the weight but never dared venture out of the comfort of that weight class. He never tasted Light Heavyweight power, or Cruiserweight power, let alone the type of power that can be dished out at HW. He'd definitely find out, everyone can be knocked out, I find it weird how people are actually allowing him to delude himself(the guy who's opinions are the truth... like the world being flat... true story btw). AJ beats Ruiz in the rematch Carl ducked Ward admitting Ward would beat him again. If anyone didn’t get their soul back it’s Froch. He didn’t even try.

Most recently Adrian Broner was on a podcast talking about how he utilised it in his fight. Even Michael Griffin completely dispelled any notion that AJ was quitting and claimed he was simply trying to buy time.
Furthermore it’s important to consider the entire context before coming to your conclusion. If Joshua was trying to quit why get back up at the count of seven? Why not wait until 9 like Dubois and Garcia did and pretend to miss the count? Why say ‘yes’ to the referee when he asked if he wanted to continue? Why not refuse to answer, look around and pretend to be out of it so the ref can call off the fight.
The circumstantial evidence just doesn’t support the idea that he quit. The fight was stopped by the discretion of a third party.
