Be sure to set the "uncorrected resolution" to 3 times the width of your resolution if you're playing on a single monitor. (Found this here: goo.gl/7X8Yt, thanks steam forums.)
I use 1680x1050, so it would be 5040x1050. Then press the set key in-game and enjoy the better camera angle. I haven't encountered any problems yet.
Also, check the game version under the cog where you set the resolution and FoV.

You are the man for this. I had this game long ago for x box after a friend raved about it. The fov was a game breaker for me after a very short while. You Sir, have allowed me to repurchase this game on PC and actually enjoy it. Amazing. If you are still having 480p issues, try using any one of the sony movie programs, be it 800 dollar vegas or its 50 dollar lite version. They have 30 day full free trials and will allow u to save in 1080 hd in a huge number of formats. peace

On consoles that FoV is a usual thing so they didn't bother (or forgot) to tweak it for PC.
It's fine for combat, but really irritating when trying to look at the scenery.
For those who argue about not being able to see the enemies... Consider it a challenge, you can't normally see what's behind you, and even then if you're not dodging like crazy but trying to parry instead camera makes quite a good job at keeping every enemy on the screen.
I played this game for a few hours and loved it. Id check periodically to make sure i hadn't missed an option to change my fucking camera.
I saw your video, it worked, and now the game is even better. I can actually SEE the landscape and how amazing it is. ten times better at least.
@Zardos66 The quality of the video depends on your Fraps settings. In order to get it in HD (if that is what you want, and have an HP monitor) then you have to run Fraps in full size video capture settings with decent FPS settings (such as 25, or 30).
Same thing kept happening to me. You arnt suppose to start the program until you are already in game. You open the program, log into the game, load your character, and then hit the hotkey to start the program.
For those having trouble with setting "hotkey" open the program, select game, and click on the settings tab. At the bottom is the hotkey setting. Change it to what ever you like. I personally don't like multiply so I use F11.
Help! How to make it work? ;d it crash'es for me everytime then i'm trying to launch the game while clicking the * ;/
FYI, if I close widescreenfixer and open it again, the settings have returned to normal.
@Zardos66 Dunno, I had a similar problem though. It might have to do with how youtube converts videos? Tell me if you find an answer. :D
You need to enable the hotkey in the settings menu to turn it on. Also when you change the settings, you need to quit the game (back to the menu) and reload your save.
I've tried using this and it doesn't work. No error messages or anything, just doesn't seem to work, even when i tab out and check in the widescreenfixer says fix enabled:yes.
Did anyone who encountered the crashing issue manage to fix it? Someone quoted the author saying we have to right click the exe file, click properties, then unblock to get it to work. I've done that, but all it does still is crash.
In case you didn't notice people have 2 eyes and total viewfield is way bigger than 95. You can check it yourself.
But monitor doesn't take that viewfield entirely, but only a portion of it. The further you sit from it the smaller that portion.
I personally prefer to keep my head at least 150cm from the monitor. Some people i know keep it around 50cm.
I forgot what the point was, but still: tolerance is a virtue few posess. Do better.
when i log into the game all i see is a blur.i used some different configurations but it either crashes or i cant see anything.any idea on how to set the configuration?(fov,displaycount,bezel).should i use auto detect?i play the game at 1280x720.thanks...
This is awesome, but I can't get it to work. Changed all the settings in widescreenfixer, saved and closed, started game, open save game, click zoom, went to run and the FOV is still the same.
I had all the same problems they mention ... I was using the Origin option, but I switched to Steam and it worked fine ... I also changed the Multiply (*) by F11, and voila, it worked for me
what is this armor set, anyone knows? Also, anyone knows of mods to change armor look?
can anyone help? i can't seem to find a way to change my resolution in the game..when i change it through the main menu and go to resolution, i dont see any options to change and when i load my character, all i can change is the vertical sync option.. >.< please reply guys.
Thanks for trying, but still doesn't help. It creates some odd graphical error where I can only see my HUD and everything else looks like a load of colour shades. Then it crashes after trying to reload the save.
hey, this may help. when you are using the widescreen program, make sure its for the right version. By default, it is set to steam. I had to switch mine to Origin or else I kept having the same problem as you. Hope this helps. peace!

The game crashes after I enable the 'fix'. FOV is set to 90.3 and I have one screen with 1280x1024 resolution. Help! :(

It astonishes me how this game could make it through hundreds of hours of testing without anyone saying, "hey, the FOV kinda sucks."

by the way everyone. It made no sense until i realized you have to fiddle with the * key to turn the thing ON/OFF. play with your \(overshoulder cam) button too until you get it right.
same problem as xCryonic when i activate it in the menu it crashes any idea why this is happpening i am using 1.0.1 Origin anyone made it with origin or just steam??

what it doesn't fix though is that horrible lagging of the camera. like when you run left/right or towards the camera, it'll just stick for a while. i find that really annoying.

@Therastaproductions Just delete the version you have now, download the newest version from the website, which already has the correct .dll file in the plugins folder (no need to download it separately). The file "Plugin.Kingdoms of Amalure Reckoning.dll" is what is causing this error.
I press the damn button but nothing happens. I'm not getting any errors but it just wont work.
The FoV looks awful, i'm running @1680x1050, I tried FoV from 50 to 100, even at 50, the screen looks too much stretched and I don't seem to like it. Default or stretched? I'll say default, also it doesn't bother me so much, because I'm not getting sick from it like in Skyrim.
So which key is the "set key"?
-_- this seems like an awesome fix... if only I could get it to work "All I get is a black screen, with all the HUD elements" its so frustrating >.

iknow im 5 years late but if any1 else sees this. it might crash if you havent set it to origin/steam correctly in widescreen fixer
Get rid of the downloaded plugin file. Just download the latest windows fixer, it already has the latest plugin inside.
use windows fixer, mate. It works with skidrow crack.
I know right? Sometimes they release games with some really obvious problems, they are just being cheap and lazy to expect paying customers to be their unpaid beta testers. Thats why I torrent everything first, and only pay when its up to snuff.
dumb game they don't give choice to zoom out, screen fixer does detect my video card :\

i like the game but i fucking hate this stupid camera, so close up, it looks like they dont even have tested it (roftl but that is impossible and i know but come on how can anyone like to play like this.
