@@hispartyinvite I know it's different from the original. But what I'm saying is this version doesn't give ANY explanations. The Filmation version only gives us "She's born a royal of Eternia. Hordak kidnapped her as a baby and escaped into another dimension. She has a magic sword that matches Adam's because they're both destined to have these swords from Castle Grayskull." And that's it. In subsequent comics and animated series, they added more to the lore, like the swords were forged by the original king of Eternia, King Grayskull. Her sword derives its power from the magic gem he found and embedded into the sword. He-Mam's sword gets his power directly from King Grayskull himself. But...that's from decades of building off of each other. But since this version is disconnected from the He-Man mythos, they could have answered or come up with SOME answers to all of the mysteries they bait us with
One day, I was cleaning with my sisters. We got distracted and I grabbed a pillow and said: for the honor... and my mom said: OF GRAYSKULL!! @@suka312 I disagree, I was born in 96’ and never watched the show while growing, still I enjoy waaaay more the old one (I’ve watched 11 episodes so far)
First of all Warriors no matter how you sing it, the theme or Aj’s version is just bomb and no one can change my mind. Secondly in the original she ra, Adora identifies herself as He-mans twin sister and not just herself. I know nowadays creators are trying to make superhero’s more woman centered but Noelle and her team really hit it out of the park.
I used to always watch the classic she-ra as a kid, (I always did something while watching because it was too boring on its own tho) and now I’m a teen I have started watching the new one. But the old one gave me so much deja vu as it’s been a while.
It is so much better though mostly because the characters don't all look the same or like they're going to a porn convention. Also the dialogue was so mad in the original the antagonists actually called themselves the" bad guys" and boasted about " evil plans" I love the original due to nostalgia but it's cringy as hell now
i love how the 80's intro feels like they only made it that long so they wouldn't have to make an origins episode and go into action immediatly- Meanwhile the 2018 intro is just a BOP
i will always love, prefer and support the classic original She-ra. There are some aspects of the new version I can appreciate. The new versions of Bow, Scorpia and Entrapta are fantastic.
@The Sans what? I didn’t say anything- I said “i invade personal space” because the 80’s adora comes right up to the camera. I wasn’t saying anything bad.
Yeah I prefer the new version vs the other version. More my style of animation and She-Ra is closer to my age, and appears that way. I dunno what age the twins are but they look 40s or something. And they sound old. And yeah older animation. Plus warriors theme is catchy
I just love the old music theme better (although I hate the info dump). I find the new song a tad corny. But the new show as a whole is definitely a lot better.
Everyone: *discusses the openings * Me: *snickers at the horribly funny job the captions did at **0:54* Edit: just realised in the entire time of the video the captions just fail at their job. But i guess that how it is with youtube
The original is perfect; the detail of the cartoon back then was faultless and the power of the music and her voice was wow; it still inspires an older me now to fight another day with my trusted sword - pardon the pun.
All the characters in the old she ra have the same model, so that kids would look at a doll with blue hair and be like: "Mummy look it's a Catra doll... I WANT IT!!"
Opening wise, I’d say I like both in their own ways. Though I prefer the newer one since it’s a lot quicker and you can get a gist of what’s happening status wise. Not the biggest fan of the music, but it’s ok I suppose. The older one is more calmer and visually pleasing {kinda}. Although, it is more of an info dump making cut fairly longer. But that’s most cartoons in the 80s.
The original is in my heart and will always. I like the new intro too. Sorry guys I love them both. I remember being a kid and getting so excited about the first theme playing. Amazing.
She-Ra: Princess of Power is by far the best, the other doesn’t even come close! Absolutely no competition to this beautifully animated 80s cartoon classic!
If you were to watch the opening as the show goes on it tells the story of the actual show along side of it (like with season five characters will be looking down and upset about the war and the next a person changes and their whole mood change)
mr something in the few episodes where catra was changing sides she would look down and kinda walk away and then when she joined she let’s adora win and hangs out on the right side of the screen and when spinnerala was captured netassa was all sad and hardly putting up a smile but when they got her back you can see em kissing
I'm twenty so normaly i'm too young to have watched the original and too old for watching the new one but since everybody where talking about the reboor of she-ra i decide to watch it and i love and no offense but when i saw the opening of the original in this video i'm glad i i'm too young and that i din't grew up watching the old she-ra because damn that was cringy 😅
Sorry folks but I’ve seen some clips of the new version, way too much comedy inserted into the plot line. So much so I couldn’t take it seriously. At least Cartoon Network made an effort when they rebooted he-man. That said I’m gonna stick with the OG She-Ra.
I was in 4th grade and loved She-Ra. My teacher had some kind of a poetry exercise that started with her pulling a bunch of rhyming words from the class. So in a fast pace, we would raise our hands and she would call on us, and we would give her a word that rhymes with the original word, and she'd write it on the board. She'd stop when the word ran out of rhymes. So the word "need" started the round, and I had my hand up. The room was almost empty when she finally called on me and I said "steed!" Without hesitation she said "that's not a word" and moved on. The opening to She-Ra that I watched daily clearly said "My trusty Steed", which taught me the word. Embarrassed, I didn't speak up, but I will never stop regretting that I didn't challenge my fourth grade teacher. I have had dreams about making her look at the dictionary. I guess I can let it go since she's been dead for about 20 years, but it still haunts me.
hope to see the first version in Masters of the universe revoluton (or her way to this with holding the sword) and a sequel serie to the second with He-man having space adventures (show more of adems race and their conquering and doom from their hord prime creation), finding his way to eternia (Hordac living in Entraptas Castle as Anti-Villain/or still using his loyal hord solders and living with Entrapta as her DarkLord/Baron ?; like a Hord Prime City with wrong hordac or them living under the other species), battleing Sceletor and showing the universe after hords prime powerlose and some one else or more taking his spot (like new hord omega/better name fraction) and also a baber theme song
Okay. I’m pretty young, but my mom raised me on 80’s she-ra so it’s still pretty nostalgic and also the new opening is fine but they could have used less auto tune
I do admit that the new one is slightly better because it’s a banger and whenever I would watch the old show I would be like “ok yeah I know that already uh huh yeah” but also I would cringe at the new one but it’s definitely growing on me a lot
Because you've only seen the rebooted series. And He-Man's 2002 series got cancelled before it could introduce she-ra in the third season! 😢 So we only got one episode with The Horde and they were FUCKING AWESOME!!!
Because these new shows want to do away with the old ones, "improving " on them when in reality, they are taking great properties that they didn't invent, and make them into crap.
I’m sorry but I grew up on the 80’s She-ra so I’m biased. I also tried watching the first episode of the new series but I couldn’t. It’s not a bad show, it’s just not what I’m used to compared to the 80’s. This is just my little opinion though. 🙈🙈

the old Adora was, but the new Adora is a whole different thing so as long as it isn't confirmed we can go with this Adora isn't
@@hispartyinvite they intentionally did not answer ANY questions about Adora or her powers! And everytime they started, we would just have more questions. Why does she keep having visions of the spirit of She-Ra? 🤷♂️ Why did Horde Prime say she looked familiar? 🤷♂️ What planet does she come from? 🤷♂️ Why can she just READ First One's writing (because being a first one genetically will not just let you READ it)? 🤷♂️ When she gets the new transformation, what happens to the old sword? 🤷♂️ If the power was inside her the whole time, then why did the whole series make it look like anyone could have become She-Ra? 🤷♂️ Do the First Ones have to specifically engineer you to be She-Ra as a Key to use the Heart of Etheria? 🤷♂️ Why create the Heart of Etheria?🤷♂️ What was so dire that the First One's felt the need to terraform a planet with LOTS of sentient life, mine and condense all of its magic and sacrifice all the life on the planet for a beam/explosion that could destroy the universe??? 🤷♂️ "Dear future, in case Horde Prime wins and destroys everything, use this weapon to destroy EVERYTHING!"
@@unigenius i am sorry, but this is different everything is possible it is isn't necessary strict to the original plot lines, maybe she is maybe she isn't this can play differently, we can't know yet until it's official we can only theorise

I do not understand why people are hating on the new version it is very inclusive and the original was sorta cool too

But the old one gave me so much deja vu as it’s been a while.

I'm not offended.
The new one sucks balls
It is so much better though mostly because the characters don't all look the same or like they're going to a porn convention.
Also the dialogue was so mad in the original the antagonists actually called themselves the" bad guys" and boasted about " evil plans" I love the original due to nostalgia but it's cringy as hell now

Yeah I prefer the new version vs the other version. More my style of animation and She-Ra is closer to my age, and appears that way. I dunno what age the twins are but they look 40s or something. And they sound old. And yeah older animation. Plus warriors theme is catchy
Exactly same opinion here
Old she-ra animation like jojo which is muscular and feminine
I just love the old music theme better (although I hate the info dump). I find the new song a tad corny. But the new show as a whole is definitely a lot better.
The rock remixes you can find on here are just amazing tho, they should've gone for something like that

The 80s one has that cheesy 80s goodness that's really weirdly charming. The new one just fucking slaps
Yeah and how the mind chiped charectors where shown on the antagonist side .also you could see the more important they where the higher up they where
mr something in the few episodes where catra was changing sides she would look down and kinda walk away and then when she joined she let’s adora win and hangs out on the right side of the screen and when spinnerala was captured netassa was all sad and hardly putting up a smile but when they got her back you can see em kissing
Yeah, cause the OG She-ra NEVER inserted forced comedy into the plot line...except for all the times when it did.

Old one: everything doesn’t make sense to me and I don’t see no humor
New one: opposite of the old one
That nostalgia must be hitting because the old theme is way better
I feel like the new one just cuts off to short
I am a great fan of the classic Shera. Actually i still memorize her intro. Sorry for the new one but i still prefer the original.
