Hey, Henry. It must be really difficult to produce a video every single day. No one would blame you if the content suffered a bit over the course of this Advent series, but that has NOT been the case! Every one has been a winner...great work! Also, the "Photographer's Dilemma" is a real thing! In fact, one of my New Years' resolutions will be to STAY in the spot I'm in and not try to chase a "better" location, which usually ends in disappointment for me. Take a well-deserved break after this Advent series. We'll all be here when you get back!

It's like changing queues at the supermarket, only to see the queue you were in suddenly move quicker than the one you're now in. Initially it may be a bit deflating, but ultimately you get to the same goal. Cracking shots of the lighthouse, particularly through those huge rocks.

I about fell out of my chair laughing just now. UTTER CARNAGE!
What a day to be out! I'm flying home for Christmas soon and will have a few days on the Delaware (US) shoreline. Fingers crossed for interesting conditions along a stretch of what you'd think of as holiday seaside.
Treat yourself to a day - or more - of shooting without having to juggle a video camera and producing RUclips content after this Advent project.

Some great images, Henry, and a brilliant tip for focus stacking. I agree that the image at around 11.30 was dominated by dark rocks on the left, but wondered whether you could have used a different crop or even a portrait orientation. I'm also with you on liking a little movement in the water, but not so much that it ends up looking like candy floss!

Brings back loads of memories when was a kid and more recently as an adult with the family and brother. Was in the exact same position as some of your shots when there in September. I'm so excited that you managed to make it to Cornwall! It's so interesting to see you negotiating the particular challenges of our weather and coast. Your confusion over where the sun was going to set made me smile.I live on the south coast, right at the other end of Cornwall from Godrevy, but I love to visit West Cornwall when I can. I have never managed to master my confusion as to which way the coast is facing when 'down west'. You only have to look at the map as to why. 'Ummm, I'm on the south coast but I seem to be facing north . . .' It's much more straight forward when I'm home on the south coast enjoying the sun setting over the sea in winter.
I'm really enjoying the advent series. You must be exhausted! I hope that you have a good rest over Christmas, and am looking forward to enjoying more of your videos in 2024.
    Best wishes,
    Sue

Wow Henry, sounds like you're really getting the full on experience in your advent series! As a hobby photographer I can't really relate too much to all of your highs and lows but I can certainly understand the benefits of always seeking out the positives no matter how tough they can be to find sometimes! They always say its about the journey, not the destination. I'm glad to see you getting enjoyment out of the location, irrespective of whether you get the shot!

So thanks again 👍 Have a Great Christmas 🎄and Looking forward to more fantastic Henry Turner Videos. Thanks for the inspiration. 👍👍👍👍 Out👋

Today's and yesterday's videos on the beach in Cornwall have been some of your best this entire Advent series. Literally on my doorstep mate. I live 11 miles away and have been coming here for most of my life. It's my favourite place and I've taken so many photos here down the years. In fact I think we were there the same day. The bit where you shouted "there's your dinner" I was on the dunes on the other side of Gwithian Beach pointing my camera at it. The light is often superb in that direction in winter. Heading along there this afternoon in fact as conditions are looking good for some long lens shots of big waves. Btw the sun only sets behind the lighthouse in the middle of summer from your viewpoint, but it makes a good sidelight from April through to October too. Loving the advent series mate. You did a brilliant job.
