Great job! This light overview is exactly what I’m looking for. Pro tip, tab your documents prior to filming so you’re not searching for them while on camera. Allowing you to create more flow in speech.
What is the appropriate term used when you do things opposite of the plans like the wooden doors , and do you need a plan revision approved from the city ?
Hi I am an architecture student but would like to work in construction. Do I need a portfolio to do that if I want to work in construction? I am still working on my own but feel like I need the technical experience in order to make a valuable portfolio and be a well rounded designer.
Since this video was made has anything changed regarding the layout and reading of blueprints? Would you post a new video with more details for beginners? Thanks
It funny but I own my own business and I don’t know how rest blue prints, But I am hopping to learn from you Because I am getting a lot projects but I can’t take them because I have to bid off the blue prints. So thanks.
I'm about 1 year and a half into carpentry and I really want to get to the point to where I can understand and read blueprints...What do you recommend? How can I elevate?
Hello my friend. I've been in the trades for about ten years and I would recommend getting an old set of prints from your job to take home and study. Nothing beats first had practice
I’m doing a Residential General contractor test. one of the questions in the test about a set of plans, was how much dirt to remove to build the front porch of the house ?? So What measurements do I have to look at to do those math problems and get the answer??

If you want to actually do the work then no you do not need a portfolio. If you are trying to be an architect in construction your degree will do

0 (zero) is always the grade level. The plan will also give detail about slope so you'll need to find grade and calculate based upon slope

Is there a math formula in this scenario?
Why don’t my blue print details match my building?
Thank you!
