I was a legit minimalist before I had kids. The most heard comment from guest in my home was “where is your furniture?” I had two couches and a table... what more do you need in a living space? Now that my kids are 9, 10 and 12 we are downsizing again and selling giving away or throwing out things we didn’t need didn’t use or didn’t want has made me so happy and I’m not done yet😉

This is awesome! Kids do make it more difficult, but like you said, still totally doable!! Keep at it and keep us posted!!

So we’ve been moved in for a week and I’ve kept most of the few things we brought in storage- all we’ve used is beds, cookware , one 19” tv and a PS4... no internet yet on purpose and they get outside more (we are on ten acres again but this time its more cleared useable land) and finally are able to ride the dirtbike on our land! It’s also been easier to get their attention for things like the changes we are making to the house... they know mom loves to remodel on a large scale... so this should be fun! I love not being surrounded by junk!!!! And all the remodeling is done by me- I refuse to hire out any work unless it’s complex electrical 😂safety first right? I encourage them to help with painting and setting tile, even taught my oldest plumbing basics at our last house ;)

My husband and I have decided to downsize. We just bought a mobile home cash, but haven’t found someone to sublease our expensive apartment 🤦🏾‍♀️. I hope we found one soon! Today we are trading our car for the cheaper one. I am hoping that by August we get all that we don’t need away from our lives and just enjoy life!

I found your channel looking for information on manufactured homes and have binge watched several of your videos already.Wow an American family who is down to earth and being practical(My wife loves HGTV and Americans live BIG/LARGE even if moving to other countries) We plan to sell your house(We bought from my mom) we renovated the house that I grew up in a 1100 sf bungalow spending just over $100k Canadian. My wife hates winter and wants to move to Victoria BC,Unfortunately Victoria housing market is way more expensive than Calgary AB.She wants a condo but since we have 2 EVs we need a charger or a way to install one=Manufactured Home :) PS EVs are slightly more expensive to buy but way cheaper to own,A Tesla Model 3 standard range + is cheaper to own after 5 years than a Toyota Camry.

Hi, we ' ve downsizing twice already and are looking to go smaller again when my daughter leaves home, but hubby's a clutter bug so he's starting to look at getting rid of stuff very slowly but it's a start.
