    Pretty good for a basic summary. Only so much you can push into 12 minutes.
    It's pretty Euro-centric though, so I might add a few things:
    India & the Mayans Golden Ages in the 4th-5th Century while Rome & China were fractured.
    The Islamic Golden Age that helped preserve and translate Indian & Greek knowledge, science, math which Europe built upon when the Muslim World declined.
    The Norse and their invasions of Europe and failed colonies in the Americas around the 9th-11th Century.
    The Song Dynasty's commercial expansion. They created paper money and the compass, refined gunpowder and made astronomical water clock towers and steel in the 11th Century.
    Mongol Empire connecting the world through brutal conquests in 13th Century.
    Reformation bringing greater Freedom of Literacy.
    Mughal Empire's "proto-industrialization", which was used to fuel the Industrialization of Europe.

    So we have stopped or started to evolve slower because of our own stupid shit, wars and such. Therefore we have not evolved much over the last few thousand years. We have just sort of been in limbo as a minor amount of us have probably evolved a little more than others in different areas/ways.

    • @TheCsel
      @TheCsel 4 года назад

      evolution is based on natural selection and selective breeding. Our enhanced brains and consciousness have lessened the impact of these factors, since we can survive what should eliminate us, and choose to breed outside of natural reasons. But at the same time we are part of nature, its just our nature to evolve slowly at this point in history. If we wanted to we could practice eugenics or gene manipulation to accelerate and guide evolution.
