This reporter just keeps getting these awkward interviews where Blake and whomever dismisses her and has their own thing going on. They think it's cute and funny, but it's kind of rude and unprofessional. A little banter is okay, but not this much. As a film reviewer, this is exactly why I never asked to interview talent. Actually she doesn't keep getting these kinds of interviews. She's an excellent interviewer. I enjoy watching her work. In particular watch her Keanu Reeves interviews. They are fantastic. She's really good at getting people who at times seem uncomfortable in front of the camera during promotion, and getting these people to get very comfortable. She doesn't ask the normal questions and I love that.

The question about clothing and her other interview was going to lead to something more. But we never got to that.
Yep. The studio demanded the fake it and act like friends during the interviews cause they hated eachother so much. Or more likely that Anna really disliked Blake and would say stuff right back at Blake.
This is the same reporter that had that interview where she was congratulating Blake on her pregnancy announcement, and Blake was rude back to her for the rest of the interview.
@@coastaf I think you’re very kind to stand up for pregnant women, and I think you’re right that they are at a point in their pregnancy during their 7th month where hormones and generally feeling awful make interactions with others more difficult. But this isn’t isolated behavior from her. She’s been rude in many interviews with a variety of different people and at times when she was likely not pregnant (obviously we can’t know definitively, but the number of instances suggests that she couldn’t have been pregnant for all of them). I don’t necessarily think she is aware of just how mean she is being, but I personally think she is used to being able to say things and get away with it by taking advantage of other people’s sense of decorum during interactions such as an interview.
@@CeCeFayeI watched that first interview and it really felt like Blake and Posey were flirting with each other the whole time. Yeah they were rude but it added a whole other level of awkward.

But you handled it with respect and class!
They do hundreds of these press interviews for each movie/show. Each only a few minutes, and one after the other. It's not at all surprising that an actor wouldn't remember every one, especially several years later
@@debra2700 yeah, i don't agree with that at all. blake was horrible in that earlier interview, and parker seemed too intoxicated, or just weak, to behave properly. showing the full clip of the interview is not 'throwing her under the bus'. blake's own behaviour in the interview throws herself under the bus.

anna kendrick's character wasn't insecure at all! the ones who kept dissing her vlogs were. stephanie was just comfortable with herself as well as emily was (arguably even more).
Blake seems sweet and actually vulnerable here. Sharing that she’s much more insecure than she lets on, how she resented her mother’s blind confidence and questioning if that makes her a bad person. And Anna used the opportunity to try to embarass her and put her down, like a real bully would. She was actually trying to give Kjersti’s question a thoughtful and sincere answer. She’s just shy with a dry sense of humor.
After watching this particular interview I‘m convinced Blake didn’t recognize her, because the interaction was more normal this time. Or Blake was fully aware of who she is but also realized that she was rude to her in the past and made up for it here.
@@MsCorpora realising she's been rude? when? the Hollywood Reporter is under attack by the same reporter who say she's intimidating people. there's no confession of fault because the journalist in question has a history of poor behaviour
@@ralucamanole45 Let me catch you up: Blake was rude to the reporter (Kjersti Flaa) in a 2016 interview for the movie "Café Society". Kjersti uploaded the interview on her RUclips channel, it's called "The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit my job". If you don't want to watch it, I can summarize it like this: Kjersti starts the interview by congratulating Blake on her pregnancy, she says "Congratulations on your little bump", which irritates Blake and she responds to non-pregnant Kjersti "Congratulations on YOUR little bump". Blake stays condescending and icy for the rest of the interview.
Zinger26 it’s different because the interviewer was actually in Anna and Blake’s hotel so the fact that she isnt all famous and stuff. So I think it was Blake and Anna’s escort because bodyguards and security are very serious about that type of stuff unless ur a fellow celeb.
You can tell it's going well. The dynamic is different. The blond who had been mean low key confesses its out of insecurity and puts some positive effort into being more kind this time around. And yet a shit ton of people are dismissing all of that cause they wanna keep stirring shit. Humanity is sad oftentimes really.
My opinion is that I think the journalist couldn’t handle the interview well. Her questions are a bit random and not related to each other. I found it has some cultural differences there. American people like to joke around in their own way. If a journalist is not mentally strong enough , definitely can’t handle it well.
I think the conversation Blake had with Anna before the interview was, "Oh shit, I once had a terrible interview with this woman and I think she thinks I'm a total bitch." and Anna said, "Don't worry about it, she probably doesn't even remember you." 0:33 the Anna fix

She said "saged" as in dispell. I'm not a fan of Blake but I don't see anything too egregious here. The other interview with Parker Posey, however... Yikes.
This was just a casual jokey comment. Are you really THAT sensitive? If so, pls STOP the wokeness! If you're this easily offended, you're gonna have a very tough time w/ life going forward.....how did you get this over-reaction to such a no-nothing comment as that? Let me tell you something - esp if you're not a reader or researcher of history - Tyranny and communism first takes hold in a culture or country by suppressing and then killing comedy. We need our humor to get us through all the tough stuff. Grow up or end up losing your rights altogether. Your feelings getting canceled is not as tragic as your rights getting canceled!
I saw that. Thought no one would point that out. I thought you look at the interviewer when answering questions. They are mainly interacting with each other (Blake and Anna).
Honestly shes not the best interviewer. She seems anxious and unsettled. I think Blake's response was to talk to Anna since the interviewer is not saying much or adding to the conversation and kind of sits there awkwardly throughout. As an interviewer you need to have more control of the conversation and be prepared with questions beforehand. Being an interviewer is also like being a celebrity your a public figure and need thick skin and go with the flow of conversation and be confident about speaking. Lack and hesitation of speaking makes the interview weak. She's too in her head and needs to let loose. Everyone has there own perception but if the interviewer wasn't asking anything it'd make it awkward if they all just sat and noticed and acknowledged her nervousness to validate her insecurity. No offense but that's why they have auditions for movies they don't hire an unconfident low self esteem person unless that's the role for the character they hire someone with confidence and character that can play the part. Otherwise movies would be horrible
Blake apparently doesn't feel confident and it shows. I think some of her behavior might be just awkwardness that we take as rudeness, but she did appear more genuine here than in an earlier interview. Either she's grown since, or Anna really changes the dynamic.
Anna, to hype up Blake: “We’re amazing, we’re powerful” Blake, nodding: “it’s true” 2 seconds later, Blake: “Anna is just an ego-maniac as you can see” 00:47 Nice backhand on your supposed friend lol. She projects insecurity but when confronted by a more secure person like Anna, she gets defensive and tries to tear Anna down in order to feel better about herself. I wouldn’t say that she’s not a mean girl in this clip imo. A non-mean girl response could be like “she’s such a supportive friend” or literally anything else other than “hey she’s a maniac driven by ego you guys see that right”.
I've watched quite a few of your interviews, and I have to agree with many of the comments that all say the same thing: Best celeb interviewer...ever! You don't ask the same pointless cookie-cutter questions that most other interviewers and talk show hosts ask. Instead you ask thought provoking and insightful questions, and give the celebs the opportunity to answer.
Based on the last two interviews, her questions are kinda trash. They’re off-topic from the movies and lean negative. Generally for these short interviews you keep things light and fun. I definitely don’t condone Blake’s condescending behaviour but these interviews are pretty boring outside of this “incident”.
I think deep down Blake is feeling insecure about the pretty interviewer and is low key shading her because of that. Narcissistic people are deeply insecure, competitive and extremely envious of others.
@@made-line7627 I will probably offend people but there is stereotypes of American women and both of them kinda meet that. These two would honestly make me feel very uncomfortable and maybe that my problem but basically they come across extremely annoying and over the top. There’s a long silly explanation thanks
I think Blake has a chip on her shoulder. She particularly does not like to be called dumb and cannot handle making mistakes. She is very defensive as a whole, not just in this interview.
They interviewer comes across as very serious and to be able to interview people you need to have a loose funny side and the questions are really bizarre too and that's just my opinion you can't just attack celebrities on every thing they say some of Blake Lively interactions and response are very funny and genuine let's not just look to the bad sad of people or one side of the story
so only americans are allowed to interview americans? Norwegians are very reserved people we don't laugh like americans laugh at anything, it just feel phoney to us.
As far as I can judge by this video this interview doesn't seem rude at all and people over-interpret things into it. They were joking in their way and it might be awkward at times, but the interviewer herself said it was an okay interview (while the first one in 2016 obviously was not). Tbh reading the comments here feels like a hunt for hints of Blake's bad character. She behaved badly in those viral situations but I think we're interpreting too much into it in other instances.
But if that’s true, then there’s no reason to click, and if there’s no reason to click, then people won’t watch the video, simple as that. The title is BAIT if I’ve ever seen it.
When you showed the footage of the moment before the cameras were rolling/before the interview started, I became so nervous for you, how to jump in while Anna and Blake are so in their conversation and seemed so closed off? This reporter just keeps getting these awkward interviews where Blake and whomever dismisses her and has their own thing going on. They think it's cute and funny, but it's kind of rude and unprofessional. A little banter is okay, but not this much. As a film reviewer, this is exactly why I never asked to interview talent. I always prefer talking to directors and writers.
The funny thing is kjersten has interviewed actors who are so much more famous than these two and they're usually much more down to earth
What?? Anna Kendrick I think did a great job here.
Oh I think the real “banter” was btw Anna and Blake here. Its passive aggressive calling eo out. Now we know why Anna acted this way.
@@missbeaussieI don't think the questions were awkward. I just think that she doesn't ask the typical question. That's why I've always enjoyed her interviews.

Blake bullies people so often that she doesn't even remember humiliating this interviewer, like she literally does NOT remember her!

If you're this easily offended, you're gonna have a very tough time w/ life going forward.....how did you get this over-reaction to such a no-nothing comment as that? Let me tell you something - esp if you're not a reader or researcher of history -
Tyranny and communism first takes hold in a culture or country by suppressing and then killing comedy. We need our humor to get us through all the tough stuff. Grow up or end up losing your rights altogether. Your feelings getting canceled is not as tragic as your rights getting canceled!
It’s interesting how she is answering your questions, but still turning and talking to Anna mostly

I've watched quite a few of your interviews, and I have to agree with many of the comments that all say the same thing:
Best celeb interviewer...ever! You don't ask the same pointless cookie-cutter questions that most other interviewers and talk show hosts ask. Instead you ask thought provoking and insightful questions, and give the celebs the opportunity to answer.
Aw!! Thank you so much. You just made my day 💗💗💗
Based on the last two interviews, her questions are kinda trash.
