  • I've wanted to tell this story for a while and now that I'm running the 2019 NYC Marathon to raise money for CHDs (congenital heart defects) I guess I can't put it off any longer...
In 2014 our oldest son Graham was born with a critical heart defect called Tetrology of Fallot. The months leading up to his birth and subsequent surgery were some of the most challenging of our lives. I hope telling our story will give other families hope as they face this disease, just as videos like this were often my source of comfort as we began our journey.
We are so thankful to the families, researchers, and doctors that paved the path before us so that our son could live a normal life. However, there are many forms of CHDs and many heart babies don't have the same positive outlook as Graham. Despite 1% of all babies being born with some form of CHD and 25% of those being critical, research for CHDs is still extremely under-funded. Please share this video and consider making a donation, together we can make a difference in the families who will face this disease in the future.
