Running Middle Prong Wilderness - Art Loeb, Green Mountain, Sunburst Campground, Black Balsam
Headed back to WNC to take on a new route that we created. We started out of Sunburst Campground and took the Green Mountain Trail, picked up the Mountain to Sea trail, stopped at Devils Courthouse, climbed Sam Knob, took the Art Loeb from Black Balsam to Tennent Mountain and then took the Fork Mountain trail back to Sunburst Campground.

Scenes from our fun run on the Bartram Trail on March 13, 2021. Overall an awesome day and great weather. We started off from Hales Ridge at 5:33am and were able to catch most of the sunrise at Rabun Bald (4 miles in). From there we continued south and added on about 1.5 miles at Pinnacle Knob. Running The Art Loeb

On October 17th 2020 three of us tackled The Art Loeb trail in a single day. We started from the north at the Daniel Boone Campground and headed south. In total it was an epic 32 mile adventure, with epic views and perfect weather.

3 Days in Chattanooga

We went to Chattanooga for Graham's birthday he had so much fun last year he asked if we could do it again. We hit up High Point Rock Climbing, the Tennessee Aquarium, Ruby Falls, the Incline Railway, the Water Steps, Walnut Street Bridge and the Creative Discovery Museum. Was another great trip.

Lantern Release on Fourth of July

No Kids Weekend in Highlands, NC

Sarah and I took a trip up to the highlands to get away and celebrate our anniversary. We hiked Secret Falls, Whiteside Mountain and Sunset Rock. Awesome! I tried to run it in June, 2020 (in the heat of summer, mid-80's!) and had to bail out after 17.5 miles as I started cramping up at mile 13. My wife & boys met me on the Blue Ridge Parkway, so that was a familiar site! I attempted it the other way around though. One day I'll get back there and do the whole thing - Fall would be a nicer time of year for sure! Keep on running...
Bummer you cramped up! FWIW I think the other direction is a bit easier and highly recommend Fall. Keep on running!

Did this in one day as well back in September of 19 and it was just amazing. It’s a butt kicker for sure, but amazing.
