  • Scenes from our fun run on the Bartram Trail on March 13, 2021. Overall an awesome day and great weather.
We started off from Hales Ridge at 5:33am and were able to catch most of the sunrise at Rabun Bald (4 miles in). From there we continued south and added on about 1.5 miles at Pinnacle Knob. We had left a car at Warwoman Dell as a bailout if needed and 2 of the guys ended up calling it at about 20 miles. The second half of the run wasn’t quite as scenic as the first half but still pretty along the Chattooga river-admittedly I filmed less on the last 20 miles.
Garmin ended up logging 40 miles and 6.7k ft of gain but the Bartram trail without detours is probably more like 37-37.5 miles. It took us about 11:50 to finish but only about 9:50 of it was moving time.
Overall it was an awesome route and highly recommend. We saw very few people the whole day except for around Warwoman and Pinnacle Knob.
