I started doing this during lockdown, it's the one thing that has made the most improvement in my playing. Can't quite get the advanced warmup down yet though.
This is awesome!! My drum teacher is moving to Memphis and he gave me a warm up routine and told me that I needed to do it every day.(But I like this better) I'm not great about warming up.
To bad you’re not in Sydney love doing this routine with others . I can play it in advanced but how well is the question. All tempos . Basics to ? Are great but doing it with others to have fun & help each other is just far. Btw how you going on the paradiddle variations. They took me awhile 4 sure 😂
There are a few things in here that I can do (and need to do for songs I play) but aren't part of my practice routine. Need to fix that. Thanks Andrew.
All those xymoxdrumco 50% off pads IG ads got me looking - but reviews, etc. informed me that I just need a simple pad to start with - nothing that fancy (yet). Although the Meinl Annika Niles and Drumeo P4 seem interesting, for a cheap good first pad - seems like either of the Vic Firths (stock or slim), the Evans (is that what you are playing in this video?), or the Drumeo QuietPad (that you unboxed?) would be a great start. (Pads mentioned in order of price descending: 70, 60, 50, 44, 40, 35) Opinions? I assume any I mentioned would be a good first option. (too many things pilling up on my wish list fighting for $ allocation. lol)
@@ChurchOfTheHolyMho I had the option of any pads with drumeo and I requested the quiet practice knowing it was far cheaper. I will be passing on this info a future vid!!
@@AndrewRooneyDrums In response to your IG post... I did end up purchasing the Drumeo QuietPad, and added a few pair of $6.48 (on sale for September) sticks to try. I've not been a Vader fan, but quality sticks for cheap are always a win. Thanks for the advice!
Great for control for the hands and concentration too!

@@AndrewRooneyDrums This is honestly too hard for me right now! I just thought it sounded cooler than what my drum teacher has me doing!😂🥁
@@LBD-2021 I released a play through on the basic version too. Check it out!

I'm using the drumeo quiet practice pad now and I love it!
Excellent. Always good news when a less expensive option is a great option. Thanks
