Thank you. Was able to build it. But whenever my sims would alight from the stool they'd end up walking on the water. The would only collapse inside the pool again upon command.the animation was weird though. But thanks, at least we now have buils options
Ive found a way to make it work again! I havent made a youtube video for it, but im posting it in text form, as its fairly simple to do. 1: First go to edit worlds or whatever its called in english, as my game is in dutch. 2: Then go edit an empty lot, or when you dont have an empty lot, just save one in the libary, to replace it after you are done. 3: On the empty lot, just build a platform which is 4 tiles wide and deep. 4: Lower that platform 5 times, so its sunken into the ground. 5: Click on the platform so its selected. 6: On top of your screen, click save in libary, and then make sure to just save the room in the libary, not the whole lot, and name it whatever you want. 6a: If you have sacrifcied a lot for this to work, demolish your lowered platform after you placed it in the libary, and move your lot back in. 7: Go back to your lot where your sims live, and where you wanna have your pool bar. 8: Place the sunken platform from the libary into your lot, and make sure its 1 tile away from your pool. 9: Place a bar anywhere on your lot, and add stools to it. 10: Move the bar (with the stools attached) in the sunken platform and place it as far as you can inside the pool. So start from the edges of the platform, and move it slowly into the pool. You gotta make sure its around halfway into the pool, otherwise your sims cannot use the stools. 11: Now playtest it. Just press F1 and select a sim to sit on one of the stools, while inside the pool. 12: IF your sim can sit down, you can follow the tutorial again starting from 2.24, and follow what @StormDesign is doing. 12a: @StormDesign is saying that you gotta place a double bar, but in my case this is not needed: 13: Cause i can simply remove the lowered platform, build a basement, raise the floor of the basement untill its on the right height, and then my sims can just serve the sims that are sitting on the stool. Unfortunally this is only gonna work, at least for me, by following the above steps, as when you've already build your house on your lot, you cannot lower the platforms anymore. And if you simply build a basement, remove the ceiling, raise the floor, and build the bar, then your sims cannot sit on it in the pool. But hey, at least its working again, and all of this with the latest patches as of 9/18/23. So.. Enjoy it again!
Did anyone try this design? I think the design is awesome, but when I try, I have a problem. My sims can't sit at the chairs. Can anyone give me solution?
I think this might have been patched, I haven’t tried it yet but since the round pool update people have said it doesn’t work anymore, I’ll have to see if I can figure something else out
@@storm.design I was making this today and my Sims are able to sit at the bar, but they're unable to mix drinks from the other side. I think it may have more to do with the overlapping bars than anything else. I tried just slightly overlapping two bars on flat ground, away from the pool, and my sims can't tend either bar. This may be an issue that will mess up a lot of builds :/
I found a workaround! You can do everything exactly the way you have been, placement and everything, but shrink the bar the swimmer will sit at down to it's smallest size. It shrinks the actual hitbox now, so the tiny version takes up less than one square. This seems to fix the issue of clipped objects not being usable! I like this a little extra too, because now it looks like there's just one bar! Just be careful to not use a bar that has a footrest on the bottom, or it'll poke out a little. You still have to drag the drink forward from the mixing bar to the sitting bar in order for your swimmers to drink in the pool, but I'm just happy it still works! It may be a little tricky to drag, but if you pull it until it looks like it's floating in midair, that's the right spot.
Mine won’t let me overlap the bar even with cheats or put anything in the basement for some reason 😪 it just looks like everything is hovering on the main land not basement land when I try to place 2nd bar.
You might have to page down or turn your grid off, or it’ll sit on top of the grid, when you turn it off it can drop down, press G to turn it off and on
For some reason after I've built my one and it worked but my sims can't go in the lowered bit. I tested it before I added details and it was functional there's nothing blocking it. I love the idea I'd love for it to work.

My 2nd bar won't go into the basement area, and just clips to the normal floor height. How to fix this??

Click down in the basement and put it in there then go back up and move it. It does work. Same thing happened to me

You have to make sure it’s far enough into the pool to work, one tile to close and it doesn’t work
