I'm a student of Kali, I like Espinosa knives especially the street Scalpel which I carry from time to time, lately though it's been the spyderco street Bowie fred perrin design.
I see TOPS had beefed the spine area above and below the first rivet. My older Rapid Strike has full gimping along top and bottom making that location a potential weak area. On mine, I've always wondered how thin the blade handle stock really was around that rivet. But I must say though, I really love the knife as lightweight concealed EDC when on cycling rides through my area. I also carry a TOPS CAT knife which doesn't quite seem, as easy to carry as the Rapid Strike.
@@OGBladeReviews hell yeah. The price is gonna sting.. but I have researched various steels and the 154cpm looks fantastic on paper. Having messed with s35 and some other modern steels (D2 is old but budget friendly) I'm pretty sure I'mma grab one. It'll scratch the itch the Tennessee Tickler gave me.
I just picked one of these up recently while waiting for the El Pionero to be released. I've been doing online classes with Libre Fighting and really just been searching around for quick deploying fixed blade with at least a 4 inch blade and designed for stabbing.
Good review, pushing through early morning. Where did you purchase this one? It doesn't have the little retention knob that came on the first production, so it's the newer one.
@@OGBladeReviews Deciding between this and the HZ6. From my experience I've never fought a person to the death but have fought dogs on a few occasions, the knife has to be quick drawing and the grip strong and immediately in the right position. It's challenging to match ferocity in seconds. Finally, comfortable enough to carry and not be left on the shelf. Probably this one. May the best be yours.
It's 154 cm which should have good stain resistant qualities. I don't carry mine everyday since I rotate through a few but I would imagine an extremes of moisture and sweat and not wiped down daily it could rust. I handle my daily carry knives like I would have blued firearm, making sure it gets a silicone cloth wipe or such on a daily basis....
Been carrying blades almost all my life. Never had law enforcement measure one, or even see one. If you're in a situation where it comes out there may be other things that end up being far more important. 😎🗡️👊
@@OGBladeReviews I get all that , I've never seen that either. Regardless it doesn't make sense to alienate a massive group of potential customers. If the legal length in your state is 4" you are probably not going to carry one that is over the legal length. It just makes no sense to add .13 in to make it illegal.
I dig it !
I'd love to add this 1 to my TOPS knives collection !
I only have two fixed blades that don’t get carried but I could definitely carry this one!

Nice! Both favorites of mine. 🔥👍🗡️
Killer little toad sticker!! I like a good hideable EDC fixed blade. Killer vid knife bro!!
Just the right size!! and a good looking knife. Kinda reminds me of the Bark River Kalahari Thorn.
Awesome video
Thanks for watching! Much appreciated. Great model, specs and materials! 👍🔥🗡️
Very nice. Tops makes an excellent blade.

Does your rapid strike rust easily like mine only down side
Call it what it is. It's a backup fixed blade edc. Narrow blade, slender, top swedge, and it's definitely on my radar.
😁🗡️👊🤔🗡️

Absolutely beautiful.
A very slim edc option. Great video 👍
Well done. I got mine yesterday. 😊

This should satisfy that purpose! 👍🗡️👊
7:51 Really wish they could marry the Lioness and the Unzipper (same shape but different sharpened side) cause that would be a great dagger.
I'm not a fixed blade guy but that is a damn good looking knife
Fixed blades have unbeatable lockup; 🤭👍🗡️
@@OGBladeReviews lol
Perfect bar b que knife
🗡️👊👍
Kinda reminds me of the Bootlegger…
👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇸
Great review!
I would actually be very interested in seeing this compared to the Spartan Blades Phrike.
I've got one in S35VN and done use it
Unfortunately I don't have that blade, or could do a compare. 🗡️
I cant decide between this and the rmj sparrow. What do you think?
Sparrow has a good deal more EDC going for it, but will be more dollars....

Perfect carry blade. However loves rusting

dear sir is the knife choil locked solid to the index finger ???
It's shallow, but if the grip is firm you shouldn't slide forward. 👍🗡️

Thank you
More like Rapid Stab to me !!! 😆😆🔪 Don't let it fall into the hands of street thugs... 😉 I have the Street Scapel2 thicker handle!!!
That .13 inches makes it illegal for the majority of States . I don't get why makers do that? Makes no sense.

I think Tops is pretty easy to reach, so a good suggestion to direct to them for sure! Thanks for watching. 👍

Yup, she's an all-rounder! 😁🗡️👊
