I do the 2 glasses all the time when going out early in the dark , then riding during the day. Dont want to have to stop at sunrise and fumble with changing lens.
Hey Willie, another great insight video into the life of a pro. I think you're going to have a great year. You look leaner and more motivated as compared to this time last year. Cheers!
Great vlog, Willie Smit. Looking forward to seeing more content from you. I tapped the thumbs up icon on your upload. Keep up the awesome work! It’s interesting how you mentioned the importance of multiple shoe covers for long rides-do you have any other tips for staying comfortable in varying weather conditions while cycling?
Winter shoes! Usually requires MTB pedals but that´s no problem in training. Then you need ”only” one layer of shoe covers. Battery heated socks is another way of staying warm. Greetings from Scandinavia where it can be a bit cooler…
@tuttobicci good Afternoon, I get this question a lot. The red jersey for exa. Is team sponsored (Jakroo). But in Andorra the tempretures are extremely diverse. For exa. Not even worldtour teams make waterproof bibs (which in this case I am wearing a katusha waterproof bib for the particular conditions). And because the tempretures fluctuates so much during training here,.depending on the day I would use a whole range of different brands ect. So I have a lot of winter clothes from the team, but some is actually just too hot for certain days and the rain jackets I have from them are more race specific. In training I prefer rain jackets that are much looser because aerodynamics is obviously not important. So honestly, if I stayed anywhere else I would probably just be wearing team clothing but this is a unique place. Any BTW, Many worldtour riders ride different clothing in places that are extremely cold. Financially it just would not make sense for all teams to bring out a specific set of clothing for the 2% percent of riders that live in extremely cold places. Hope that answers the question.
@@williesmitcycling Thanks for taking the time to reply. I thought your answer would be like that. There's no 'one size fits all' solution to keeping dry/warm for the winter. I worked with pro teams in the early 2000s and riders were doing the same using items from previous teams. Good luck for 2025.
