This makes me feel very privileged, to have been born and raised in such a gay-friendly country as Sweden. I realised I was gay when I fell helplessly in love for the first time, on September 18 of 2009, and I immediately accepted myself, came out to my friends and within a year even to my family, who accepted me without question and also were happy that I had found someone whom I loved. Wish more countries were as open and gay-friendly as we are. Of course, we can also get better, and we will, I'm sure of it! This man has suffered a lot through his life, suffering that should never have had to happen. He has managed to make a lot of positive change for India and is still fighting for gay rights and trans rights which I find admirable. A role model. Thanks for this uplifting video on progress towards a brighter, free, more fabulous and loving world.
+Herr Treecko Manvendra Singh is only an example. In Come Out Loud, we are churning out the stories of those people, who have struggled a lot to be who they are. You can watch this video: ruclips.net/video/mHu-Im7VEUk/видео.html
Kinda hate how certain people where i live at in a super gay friendly neighborhood act super opressed and like they are getting murderd daily and life isn't fun then you see the nightlife and the whole picture. People in other areas don't get to even publicly be seen with same sex
How can two people dislike this? This is great. More countries need people like this man. Especially countries that haven't gotten very far in accepting homosexuality.
"I so much like and admire that his pain and struggle made him open to people and to the world. It is so easy, so common for pain to have the opposite effect, to close the world off, to block other people" -- to quote a friend with whom I saw this video. How warm and loving person!
To: Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil of India. I watched your video. You've been through so much already. I'm a straight female living in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I have a gay brother. So, if it's possible, you may have my vote too.
A beautiful and encouraging story of hope. It is not about being Royal or common, it is not about being straight or gay, it is about the right of each human being to love and be loved for what he/she is beyond gender, religion, sexual orientation, colour, age and nationality. A society that does not open up to this is not sustainable in the 21st century.
Remarkable story and man. Went against the odds, endured so much hate, rejection from his parents, communities and even his country. Despite all of this, he found the strength to educate his people and allow tolerance and change. He is a hero to his own country. God bless you Prince.
U r an inspiration to your gay brothers and sisters and a treasure to the gay community! I admire that u r using your royal celebrity and influence to better the gay community. Your royal heritage gives legitimacy to being gay as being in all walks of life! I am so proud and admire that u have devoted your life to helping your gay community!
Im happy for Homosexual people that live in the Western world. There, Homosexual Men can married a man & Homosexual Women can Married a Woman. That means..Freedom for all Homosexual people. I hope that Freedom will come in INDIA and the rest of the World too.
+Josephinachristina wernke certainly yes, there are few Western countries, who are doing really well in terms of homosexual rights. But, there are Western countries, where same sex marriage is not considered legal. Do you remember, a few days ago what Queen said about same sex marriage?
I support gay rights and all but have to say the video above is super boring. The first dislike is mine. When he says that gays are more widely accepted in India, it is not a fact. He should probably go out of Mumbai or his town and find out how homophobic India is. He was placed in the Indian society where he could have influenced how Indians perceive LGBT rights. Yet he failed to deliver. So did Kawi. India's LGBT moment is yet to arrive. Hopefully the next person is able to grab the Indian LGBT imagination like Harvey Milk did in US.
+Jason Roy Nice to see your comment. You are right! The scenario is different in India than US, but did you try finding out the reason behind their failure?
LOL, this world is crazy; trying to legalise something that has been forbidden by creator and no religion approves it; LOGIC seems to bypass some people. Wot a pity.
+Idrees Abdulmalik You are only responsible for your own actions, not others if they do no harm. If you think God is love, his actions are love. Humans pretending to be the mouth of God always go wrong, especially before the middle age. Well wishes.
