Nice Citizen. For the $1,600 Citizen should have engraved the crown and clasp.
Agreed! There is, however, a Japan-only version of this series 8 but in stainless and with a black mother of pearl dual that has a cool geometric metal overlay. That one, even without engraving, looks rather smart and not too blingy
Nice offering from Citizen. As a dive watch guy, I'm eying the Bulova Devil Diver GMT a lot more, especially that white dial version. It really seems like we are paying for name recognition because we can get quite a few microbrand GMT's with the 9075 movement, for half the price of the Citizen.
Have you seen the longines hydro gmt? Thats a beast.
Thanks Chris, for "delivering" yet another time. Great selection and professional commentary.
Verry impressive watch. Looks like a great everyday watch, attractive yet unflashy, for almost all wrists.
Before watching the review, I was sure it is 41-42 mm, as this is the normal Citizen size. they tend to produce bigger than average watches. But it is very encouraging to see them producing an everyday 39mm watch.
I like how you don’t just feature the super expensive or super cheap watches, but a nice variety. 😊
For the hardcore Citizen fan. Very very cool.
Great to see this watch finally. I had also been waiting to get my hands on it. Thanks for the review! A couple of comments: 1. I would say this watch’s direct competitor is not the 6R54 watches from Seiko (office GMT) but the rarer and higher grade 6R64 that is in the Presage Sharp Edge GMT, which is traveller GMT and also similar in design to this (Japanese themed dial, dress sports feel). 2. I don’t get the love for the Citizen diver you have. It felt so cheap and way below the price point when I tried it. The bezel was loose and the crown is tiny. Also it is based off a citizen from the 60s so wouldn’t necessarily say it is a modern design in comparison to the Bulova. Great vid though and looking forward to the next one! Keep up the great work! 😊
VERY cool gmt from Citizen! The "batman" version looks awesome; easily my favorite of the three they've released thus far.
Same. I hope they put this movement in an integrated bracelet Citizen dive watch where the 24 hour markers are on a chapter ring and the bezel is a unidirectional dive bezel. They do this, I'll be the first one in line buying it.
Bulova did something similar with the 98B415 Oceanographer but I don't like the gun metal colour.
I like it! I'm going to wait for more iterations of this movement from Citizen. I'd like to see the same movement in a dressier watch. Something without a rotating bezel and with the 24 hour track on the chapter ring under the crystal. But this one is very tempting! Thanks for the early review.
Why nobody mentions about lack of signed crown for Seiko & Citizen ? Every Swiss brands give us signed crown, but not Japanese brands, except Orient.
Actually Citizen Promaster series are better case build quality as bracelet also and costs around 500-600. I have CB5000-50L and the finish is great and it's a massive watch. A beast to be honest.
Congrats on the baby, Chris!!
CONGRATS on the New addition to the family Chris 🎉🎈🎊
Citizen watches are amazing. One of my favorites is the blue angel nighthawk. Get the most of my wrist time 😊😊
Many Blessings on your new addition to your family🙏🏻
Really cool watch, actually. I love how the dial is supposed to mimic the Tokyo cityscape.
Congrats to you and the Mrs.! I really like these watches. Citizen has never let me down.😊
Gratulations with the new born your wife and you Chris. Great content, keep it up. Enjoy your time with the new family member,
Congratulations to your family on new baby
That’s a great looking watch for around $500. Maybe $800, but not $1,700. So many better watches at that price.
It's around 1200euros in Europe...but that is way to much for such watch. I know that movement is excellent but...even their Sky Pilot CB5000-50L is a higher quality bracelet and case then this. I know because I have very same watch and it's a beast. This looks...well pretty cheap.
It kind of has a Timex look to it. This could be my second ever Citizen watch. I dig it.
I like your review and the introduction music, nice. Love your show. Congratulations to you and your wife on the new baby!
Congratulations on the new Baby 🎉
Congrats on the new addition to your family Chris!
Whats up with indices alignment 1:31
its the angle of the camera and reflection
Best value GMT currently in production is the Longines Hydroconquest GMT in olive green. I would not pay $2295 for a Citizen regardless of how great. But I have zero issues paying $3000 for a Longines. Just one man’s opinion. And don’t get me wrong…I am not anti Citizen. I own several. Just nowhere near $2295.
Congrats on your new baby!
I like the original case. Other than that it's just drowning in a sea full of look a like watches.
Congratulations! There is much to like about this one. For me, integrated bracelets are a big miss. I much prefer having the ability to change things using with a different bracelet or strap.
No cabe dudas que estos 2 últimos años citizen a hecho las cosas bien saludos de Panamá 👍
Que
I really like the bracelet on this one.
Congrats to you and Kelly on the baby! Another great review as always man.
Congratulations on the newborn! Nice watch, but the Batman bezel is not doing it for me.
Nooo why so expensive
For a complication I don't need I prefer the caller to traveler gmt.
This will be my first GMT. Great review
Take a look see at Jack Mason's Strat-o-timer GMT dark knight. I have one and love it. 200m sapphire front and back and a 9075 for $999.
@@dblh84yeah but kinda looks like a seiko, I think I’m gonna go for this one
@@laithmusa798Yeah, I disagree. It looks nothing like a SEIKO.
Congratulations Chris for the new baby. Show pictures of new baby
why the hell he need to show photos of his baby....do not be a creep
@@Crotch_Goblin1 Sorry sir/madam: I am not a creep . I am 73 year old man from a country and culture (INDIA) where an asking to see a pictures of newborn babies because they are supposed to be Gods gift to human being, is common. Your comment is offensive enough that I will never post anything in such as a creepy culture you are living in
👍👍👍 Nice Citizen Sport GMT Watch Review by Watch Chris 👍👍👍
Congratulations!
Congratulations,great video and great watch
8 extra hours of power reserve is not worth the jump in price from watches with the 9075.
Timeline 2:29..... what?...you say dial is "well done"?....what about loooking at the 11:00 "pip" ( or call it 55 minute location) ? The lume bar is all off to one side, showing a black band on the right side only. Contrast this with the 1:00 pip ( or call it 5 minute location)....with a black edging on BOTH sides of the lume strip. Same with the top, 12 o'clock work....the lume is all off to the one side with a black edge on one side only. Seems pretty sloppy to me as to being inconsistent.
Can you wind it with by crown?
Yes, you absolutely can.
Congratulations on the baby. Did you convince the wife to have a watch name for the middle name lol.
$1700 for a Citizen? I just bought a Pagani Design PD-1662 Batman for $45 on their 11-11 sale. I'm good
Black second hand on this dial really bad idea
Ok
Nice watch but overpriced for sure!!!
Caller GMT > Travel GMT. I don't care what RUclipsrs say is "more desirable." Caller GMT's are more functional day to day.
Unless you actually leave your desk..
@bikeman123 I travel pretty extensively for work and leisure, but unless you are a pilot or similar and the *MAJORITY* of your time is in different time zones, a caller GMT is better. When I am working, I need to know the time in 3-4 different time zones. I want my hour hand to be my time zone.
