An San is awsome and her coach is incredible, too. I watched one video that An San just got 8 two times in one set, then her coach show her how to solve the problem. Finally, she got 10, 10, 10 in one set.

There many Arjuns in our tribes and I have witnessed them shooting arrows blind folded, shooting at sound never to miss hitting a 25 paise coin from a much further distance with a hand made bow and arrow made out of Bamboo. Good luck for India in Tokyo Olympics love you India❤️

The reason korean, Japanese, Chinese are good in sports because they start practicing from very little age but in India..school system supports study only, no space for sports😒💞but we will win gold no matter what.

Wind is a factor, but Wind is natural and even the competitor has the same conditions, its not like wind is suddenly put on during her shot,
So, both players have same open conditions, but yes if Wind is a condition for Deepika, then I guess the competition seem to handle it better than her, She needs to practice more especially in windy conditions so that she can do better. Blaming wind,, not really..
Its not like cricket match where the 2nd innings is played in evening and then there is dew, its literally that they shoot within minute of each other.
So for sake of Deepika, we should catch the wind man.

In my area the tribal people hunt down many wild pigs with bow...they hunt pigs while chasing.
If these ppl given a chance and proper training I don't think anybody will come in the vicinity of them in this competition...

Govt has tried to recruit tribal talent. Infact Lemba Ram who participated in Barcelona games belonged to a tribal community of Rajasthan. You would be surprised to know that in the 80s and 90s Govt tried to train members of Siddi community to help boost our fortune in track and field events. The logic behind it was that people of African heritage have a superior talent and natural ability in sports. But the results of the program was unsatisfactory and eventually abandoned. I think we have good athletes but mentally they are very weak. Somehow the aura of Olympics dismantles them. We need to work on their mental strength the most.

Before the era of gun powder & rifles, Koreans were fighting against Japanese and Chinese by bombarding arrows over 2~300m away. Hunters can't match it.

That is Recurve bow, you can see there are no "wheels" to it,
