In a 100,000 ton flat top, that's absolutely insane!!!!
It was impressive enough when I saw the 70,000 ton HMS Queen Elizabeth do it but when a true behemoth like the Gerald Ford mobile city does it, that's on another level......🇬🇧🇺🇸✌️

As you notice they are filmed turns made with empty flight decks. Most of what you see are sea trials where maximum turns are performed during acceptance tests. Some are done with less turning circumferences when the decks are full of aircraft during deployment. It' s sight to see and feel when the call comes out " hard to port or starboard ! " I was on the USS Constellastion in the 1970's , Flight deck duty.Pretty wild to ride one out.
I’ve had two uncles in the Navy. One was on the original Ranger in WWII. She was small and was in Operation Torch and served as a ferry to get fighters to Europe. My other uncle served on the Shrangri-La during Korean War.
I'll Never Forget When I Was An ABH3 Aboard The USS Dwight D Eisenhower (CVN-69), In Air Dept/V-1 Div, From 1980 - 1984, We Did High Speed Maneuvers In GITMO.
The Very First Time I Experienced It, Scared Me To Death! We Were Leaning So Far Over, That I Thought We Were Going To Capsize!
But What Really Was Scary, Was When We Did It In Reverse!!! ⚓

These "extreme measures" tests during sea trials, before being declared "fit for service," are absolutely crucial. They're not only testing the vessel to it's limits, they are also testing the entire crew to make sure that they are capable of taking the ship to war....... which is ultimately their reason d'etre.
By the way, our 2 military forces work seamlessly together, whether its on land, sea or in the air....... the greatest partnership on the planet. 🇬🇧🇺🇸✌️

I had the opportunity to do my job on the flight deck while undergoing extreme Rudder tests it was pretty fun watching the sea rise up on one side of the ship and the sky on the other and then vice versa. Might I say that it's rather difficult to maintain one's footing on the flight deck while conducting these maneuvers .
Man overboard was the only reason we did it in the 70's.
An answer to your question.......
Our 2 naval forces will more than likely turn to the use of laser defences across the whole fleet but especially on carriers as they're the most juicy of targets for our adversaries........ and we know who these will be.
The Chinese military are desperate to develop capable and reliable hypersonic anti ship missiles to target our carriers as they've correctly identified them as the biggest threat to their ambitions.
After much research, I've come to the conclusion that direct energy weapons will be the most important in the defence of our CSG's.🇬🇧🇺🇸✌️

Back in my day (USS Midway CV-41) most of the small boys had trouble keeping up with the carriers.
When us dive bombers attacked Japanese carriers at Midway, these carriers performed similar maneuvers
USS FORRESTAL CV-59 82-84 Semper Fortis
This maneuver may cause a mess inside the ship if all the stuff aren’t properly tightened. But it’s amazing to see how this giant can turn so dramatically its direction. Awesome.
