oddly enough this actually gives me a new appreciation to the irl soldiers and what they have to go through out there. sh*t's horrifying
its 100 times worse irl. especially in the current war, just imagine that feeling from tarkov where you dont know if that guy is your friend or not, but with your real life (and your friend's) at stake.

5:44 it seems like a very nice realistic addition. It takes a while for sound to travel. You see the light from the explosion immediately, but the boom is the same as the shockwave, dead silence until it hits you.
I’ve seen deck guns being fired from miles away and it takes several seconds to hear the sound after the blast.
Edit: that was definitely a bug i was too zonked to notice loll. Also Arma is a good example of having realistic shockwave effects
I think it’s a bug because the explosion in this case is way too close for that proximity effect to take place.
@@SCOVex you’re absolutely correct, i had forgotten he had just ran over a berm to detonate the C4. At that distance there probably wouldn’t even be a noticeable delay in the shockwave hitting.
A lot of games nowdays accurately simulate sound. PUBG for example. Safe to say arma3 popularised it. Now I hear it in every game where the scale is big enough.
Just a bit of "acshually" - you also don't see light immediately, it travels with the speed of... light. ;) Which is of course a fair bit faster then the speed of sound (330m/s)

A mechanic that almost no movies or video games use. Seeing a fireball in dead silence before the shockwave hits is the wildest thing I’ve ever experienced.

@@kill3rbamb146 It's absurd why not more use it. Especially open world games. It not only feels more realistic, but knowing that the sound is about to hit you hard is an adrenaline rush and an eye opener.
Sound waves do not travel that slow seeing how close that explosion is

Lately I’ve been discovering more war games RUclipsrs (like hubbi) and now I found yours and I am having a great time with my algorithm.
Nano whenever you SL you should try the "Rat Hole" strat.
I've used this strategy and it allowed my entire squad to defend an objective against 20+infantry, t72, bmp and scout car.
Strategy is to find a building and barricade yourself and the radio in a small covered area ( has to be atleast 5 meters) in which you leave one spot preferably a regular entry way such as a door and put a hesco bunker on it. After the hesco bunker you build 2 sandbags stacked on eachother behind the hesco to prevent enemy fire and grenades from flying in..and then you build one more sandbag behind the 2 stack sandbag. This sandbag will allow one player to stand and provide easy position to shoot through the HESCO bunker and if they die they will typically fall backwards into a safe spot for an on-site medic to quickly pick them up.
This allows a secure funnel where enemies must jump and prone to crawl in slowing them down while the HESCO bunker provides a line of sight obscure so enemies don't know what's behind it. Effectively allowing one player to man that station and ensure its safety. Other players will spread out and ensure point capture weight as well as reviving people.
C4 is your only enemy in that its explosion ignores obstruction save for terrain such as the ground. C4 explosion radius is roughly 4 meters so all you have to do is ensure that the team is spread out evenly from points of entry so that you don't wipe.
This strategy almost works on every map though some shine more then others. Talil Outskirts is absolutely hilarious for an example as the mid points have excellent spots to perform this at.
Hardest challenge is knowing where you should setup and how much supply you need and also ensuring your team follows through with it.

At some parts of the video it seemed like Militia faction fought other Militia faction. Which is pretty realistic, but I'm pretty sure that's not how the game works😅
Nice to see both technicals and cartel armored cars being equally represented. I wonder if weaponized civilian aircraft would also make it into the faction?

As for the visual effects before the explosion maybe its to mimic real life were you see the flash before the sound wave hits you because light travels faster than sound. This effect is more noticeable when at greater distances from the explosion.
