Fun fact: "Candy" is from Baekhyun's second (repackaged) solo album Delight. And, if you have heard his previous release, which was his solo debut, "UN Village," you would see that "Candy" is much different. The two songs have different vibes because "UN Village" and its City Lights album are supposed to have a softer, sultry night theme, where 'Candy" and its Delight album is supposed to have a happy upbeat, bright daylight/daytime theme. I'll omit Baekhyun, but I'll tell you that on Ellen Degeneres' debut in 2019, she told her that she could call him Bacon, so if you can say the same as eating bacon (Lol) Taemin- "Criminal" and "Black Rose" from her latest album. From the group "Shinee" from which I recommend "Tell me What to do". Originally the group consisted of 5 boys, unfortunately Jonghyun their main vocalist died in December 2017. The group is currently on hiatus due to its other members doing mandatory military service for every male citizen of South Korea. Kai - A solo debut is rumored soon, he is a great dancer, his group EXO is the one they talk about the most, I recommend "Monster" and personally I like "Lotto" Ten - "New Heroes" and "Dream in a Dream" belongs to the Chinese subunit of the NCT group called WayV (acronym for "We are your Vision") Lucas - He also belongs to WayV but we still don't have a solo album by him, however I recommend "Take Off", "Moonwalk" and "Turm back time" from the group. Taeyong - Has a great duet with Ten on NCT U: "Baby Don't Stop". He is the leader of NCT group of 23 boys but you can only see them all together on a few occasions since its members are divided into subunits (NCT 127, NCT Dream, NCT U and WayV) and you are in luck since that will be happening right in these days, go to NCT2020 if you are interested, 2 days ago NCT U released a Track Video called ‘Misfit’ you probably like it due to its rap nature. From its NCT127 subunit I recommend "Cherry Bomb" and "Kik It" where you can also see Mark. so i’m late to comment but i hope you see this, sorry if someone has already given this info and i didn’t see. superm is extremely western facing which is why their singles and MVs often feature heavy english. these songs are meant to be consumed by people who may not be familiar with kpop as a bridge into the genre. their first full album (superone) is incredible and has a lot more korean lyrics. but yes, the seven members were brought together for their vocal ability, dance ability, rap ability, fan bases (they’re all fan favorites from their respective groups) and looks. they’re all signed with S.M. entertainment out of south korea. groups: EXO (Kai and Baekhyun), Shinee (Taemin), NCT: NCT 127 (Taeyong and Mark), WayV (NCT sub unit primarily focused on chinese music and promotions) (Ten and Lucas). of the members, Mark and Ten are fluent in english, Mark was born in Canada. superm is, to my knowledge, the first group to be targeted directly at the western market. other popular groups in the western market are BTS (Big Hit Entertainment) and BLACKPINK (YG Entertainment). those groups also have heavily english lyrics and english speakers. kpop general info: kpop idols train for years before they debut. they frequently have dating bans and very rarely have free time. it’s a hard job, but this is why kpop is so different and so impressive. they dedicate years to mastering their craft. dance lessons, vocal lessons, rap lessons, english lessons, etc. they practice until they’re perfect for every comeback (new music release). groups have “positions” for all of their members. so, in superm: baekhyun is the leader oldest and main vocal, taemin is a main dancer and lead/main vocal, kai is a main dancer center and sub vocal/sub rapper, taeyong is a main rapper sub vocal visual center and lead dancer, ten is a lead vocal and main dancer, lucas is a lead rapper lead dancer and visual, mark is a main rapper lead dancer sub vocal and the youngest. some of those roles are different in their other groups. kpop is super formulaic and precise. the genre is more about performance than strictly on music. videos are always amazing and live performances are perfect to the last step. some people have a hard time getting into it due to the language barrier, but once you’re in, you can appreciate the endless collection of fantastic kpop music and artists. i hope you keep looking into it!!

taemin: most experienced member, known as the michael jackson of kpop, originally debuted in the group Shinee (aka one of the kpop groups that paved the way)! to check out his more recent solo work, i recommend Want or Criminal. to check out shinee, i recommend Everybody or Lucifer!
kai: baekhyun's group-mate from EXO, main dancer (dance king), trained in many dance genres! he has yet to release any solo stuff, so i'd recommend watching EXO to see him (and baekhyun) in action! i'd recommend Love Shot or Tempo (his Love Shot dance is ICONIC)
taeyong: leader of the group NCT. main rapper, main dancer, all around ace! facial expressions and stage presence ON POINT! to see him in action, i recommend checking out his NCT unit, NCT 127- the songs Cherry Bomb and Regular. He has also released one solo track called Long Flight that's also amazing.
mark: youngest of superm, main rapper and rap god, hails from canada and speaks fluent english! he's also in NCT 127 along with taeyong (so you'll see him in Cherry Bomb and Regular). He's also in another nct unit called NCT Dream (the young members of NCT), so to see him in there you can check out We Go Up or Go! he's yet to release solo music.
lucas: hails from hong kong, has a unique low rapping tone that's easily recognizable. he's in the NCT unit called WayV (all the chinese members), so to see him in action i recommend Turn Back Time or Takeoff by Wayv! he's yet to release any solo activity.
ten: the only thai member but he speaks fluent english as well! one of the BEST dancers of this kpop generation, can handle all styles of dance! he's also in WayV along with Lucas, so he's also in Turn Back Time and Takeoff. he has two solo songs, Dream in a Dream (the choreo is so beautiful in this song) and New Heroes.

It's so great to see you get into kop! I loved your superm reactions, and look forward to more! Baekhyun (almost like bacon but with the hyun is more pronounced than the -on in bacon). A leader in kpop isn't the "main" one of the group, they actually the group in things like interviews, discussions with the company, making desicions etc. Each memebr in SuperM is extremely talented. Even though Baekhyun is the leader, Taemin has the most experience in the industry (about 12 years now). He is an excellent solo artist and his group SHINee is also amazing. Hello here again, if you are going to react individually to the SuperM members I recommend the following list. I'll omit Baekhyun, but I'll tell you that on Ellen Degeneres' debut in 2019, she told her that she could call him Bacon, so if you can say the same as eating bacon (Lol)
Taemin- "Criminal" and "Black Rose" from her latest album. From the group "Shinee" from which I recommend "Tell me What to do". Originally the group consisted of 5 boys, unfortunately Jonghyun their main vocalist died in December 2017. The group is currently on hiatus due to its other members doing mandatory military service for every male citizen of South Korea.
Kai - A solo debut is rumored soon, he is a great dancer, his group EXO is the one they talk about the most, I recommend "Monster" and personally I like "Lotto"
Ten - "New Heroes" and "Dream in a Dream" belongs to the Chinese subunit of the NCT group called WayV (acronym for "We are your Vision")
Lucas - He also belongs to WayV but we still don't have a solo album by him, however I recommend "Take Off", "Moonwalk" and "Turm back time" from the group.
Taeyong - Has a great duet with Ten on NCT U: "Baby Don't Stop". He is the leader of NCT group of 23 boys but you can only see them all together on a few occasions since its members are divided into subunits (NCT 127, NCT Dream, NCT U and WayV) and you are in luck since that will be happening right in these days, go to NCT2020 if you are interested, 2 days ago NCT U released a Track Video called ‘Misfit’ you probably like it due to its rap nature.
From its NCT127 subunit I recommend "Cherry Bomb" and "Kik It" where you can also see Mark.
Mark - Has a duet with Xiumin from Exo "Young & Free"

so i’m late to comment but i hope you see this, sorry if someone has already given this info and i didn’t see. superm is extremely western facing which is why their singles and MVs often feature heavy english. these songs are meant to be consumed by people who may not be familiar with kpop as a bridge into the genre. their first full album (superone) is incredible and has a lot more korean lyrics. but yes, the seven members were brought together for their vocal ability, dance ability, rap ability, fan bases (they’re all fan favorites from their respective groups) and looks. they’re all signed with S.M. entertainment out of south korea. groups: EXO (Kai and Baekhyun), Shinee (Taemin), NCT: NCT 127 (Taeyong and Mark), WayV (NCT sub unit primarily focused on chinese music and promotions) (Ten and Lucas). of the members, Mark and Ten are fluent in english, Mark was born in Canada. superm is, to my knowledge, the first group to be targeted directly at the western market. other popular groups in the western market are BTS (Big Hit Entertainment) and BLACKPINK (YG Entertainment). those groups also have heavily english lyrics and english speakers.
kpop general info: kpop idols train for years before they debut. they frequently have dating bans and very rarely have free time. it’s a hard job, but this is why kpop is so different and so impressive. they dedicate years to mastering their craft. dance lessons, vocal lessons, rap lessons, english lessons, etc. they practice until they’re perfect for every comeback (new music release). groups have “positions” for all of their members. so, in superm: baekhyun is the leader oldest and main vocal, taemin is a main dancer and lead/main vocal, kai is a main dancer center and sub vocal/sub rapper, taeyong is a main rapper sub vocal visual center and lead dancer, ten is a lead vocal and main dancer, lucas is a lead rapper lead dancer and visual, mark is a main rapper lead dancer sub vocal and the youngest. some of those roles are different in their other groups. kpop is super formulaic and precise. the genre is more about performance than strictly on music. videos are always amazing and live performances are perfect to the last step.
some people have a hard time getting into it due to the language barrier, but once you’re in, you can appreciate the endless collection of fantastic kpop music and artists. i hope you keep looking into it!!

btw Baekhyun's name is actually pronounced BAE-KI-Y-ON and bacon is just a nickname for the people that has a hard time pronouncing his name. Also to let you know that the leader of one group in kpop isn't the main in everything. Everyone has their own position (lead vocalist, main vocalist, main dancer, center, visual, main rapper, lead rapper, etc). Also having a good choreography is really important in kpop and synchronization as well, especially in this generation.

In Kpop bands the leaders have different roles from other countries boybands. The leader is the one that makes important decisions, usually talks at interviews. Most times they don’t get the spotlight which is a position called center so when a member is the leader of just means that they handle all the behind the scenes decisions. But Baekhyun is fire tho.
