Updated to Windows 11 recently. Things I don't really like in this version: 1. Can't use third party widgets or link Chrome to those widgets. Weather widget engine of MS Edge is one of the worst I've ever seen. 2. Too buggy. Sometimes, even the right click window takes more than 2 minutes to open. Apparently not due to the device but the buggy os. It's rare but when it happens, it's really annoying with all the apps and programmes taking forever to open. 3. Can't control the transparency of Taskbar anymore without using third party taskbar apps. Rest it's all fine. The feature that enables us to resize and position windows to preset tiles just by hovering the pointer over the maximise icon is my favourite besides the refreshing icons.
Why do you even want to run Android apps like RUclips and Netflix when they are available right in the browser and works 10x better😂. The only thing that makes sense are Games. Because, you can play at high settings when you have a low end phone but have a good laptop. Also you don't have to worry about battery running out.
Many people have Prime & Netflix "mobile only" subscriptions that work only on their mobile apps, maybe that's why. 😬 (if that'll work at all by putting the app here in fullscreen!)
I would rather just use web versions of these apps for most part. I would just love to see android games to come with acceptable frame rates like clash royal, coc, marvel contest of champs, mortal combat etc.. that would be fun to play on big screen
lol the only reason they uses the youtube app as example is because he is youtube content creator. but there are some app that didn't have a web version. one of them are xiaomi home. now that you can sideload android app. you can now monitor all the security camera and IOT devices on a larger screen.
I've been using them for the day the came out and they work super well. Some apps don't work at all, but the apps that work work super well. I'm surprised at how well they work in an initial release. Edit: The camera works - there's a built in camera app in the subsystem that can access the webcam.
Also using Prime, insta on my W11 in my NokiaS14. 🙌 But W11 has many more customization and its Amazing AF. This is gonna change Entire market of Laptop Industry. 🤟
7:03 BS is not just using 100MB there will be other tasks which are named different(I don't remember their names now) which will occupy some more RAM. But again it wont be as high as 2GB for just normal Playstore opened.

I sideloaded apps on my machine and installed nova launcher which revealed certain other apps like camera contacts etc just like on phone. That camera app was able to access my camera easily and actually had a better quality than on windows camera app. I didn't check the instagram app for camera though.
Why one would compromise and get this? Its not like we need it anyhow, our work gets done even without it. Ofcourse, when it'll be stable, then it'll be a plus for windows to have android apps.

If your laptop has atleast 8gb ram and has 9th gen or above processor then you can safely update without any issues...I myself am using the beta from a long time
They should have made this possible when Windows phone was around. As cool as this Android app on Windows thing is it really is lacking the polish and design that Chromebook running android apps already has.
I think in the future app developer for android will optimize their apps for windows 11 OS and beyond, it's just a beginning, so let's see what the future beholds for android on windows OS.
I would prefer that windows 11 could connect to your phone and run apps to a screen on Windows 11 so it does not matter which OS you are using on the phone. This would also stop third party software infection your Windows 11 PC
You can never compare blue stacks with windows subsystem for android, where in blue stacks run on top of windows kernal/ UI level solution i.e., .net or java framework based, on the other hand -in windows subsystem for android uses core linux kernals or binaries, which is way more advanced or complexed structure. Its more like writting a new Operating system together. There were lots of efforts were made, initially they have introduced windows subsystem for linux (same linux kernal/libraries ). The entire architecture of windows and linux/android is entirely different, even blackberry has failed/ not successful though.

Its easy to sideload apps. Sideload TV version of the media and gaming apps, then your experience will change. Windows has basically killed the necessity to dual-boot, triple-boot, etc.
I got my windows 11 update a few days ago and I must say UI is nice but the battery management is horrible now, my laptop which used to last for around 4+ hours now only lasts for around 2 hours and there are also some lags here and there(my laptop specs: ryzen 5 4000 series, 16GB ram, 1650 Ti Graphics Card)
Android apps on desktop was a feature that was announced with Windows 11 and it's still in testing.🙄 What a joke!!! I really hate this trend when a company releases a software or game or OS with half baked features and then adds features through updates later.😕 Windows 11 has been released and all the promised features aren't even fully functional and available yet. Hi, installed Jio TV through Windows subsystem for Android . But every time I switch to full screen, it reverts immediately to the small screen. Any workaround to keep it on full screen mode?
How is Windows 11 Performance on a Ryzen 5 3550H Machine? I'm using Asus TUF FX 505DT with 8 GB RAM and yesterday night i got the option for update to Windows 11. But I'm bit sceptical about the performance due to a ryzen processor even though my PC meets every requirement for it

Android apps also don't have access to your computer's keyboard. I found when playing an Android game that I had to use the on screen keyboard in the app

I can see why Asphalt isnt optimized for android subsystem. We already have asphalt in the windows store. Windows store version runs fine.
