I work for the BELUGA GROUP myself, in Russia this vodka costs less than 1999 rubles, that is, $ 22,you can not worry about additives, it is clean, without chemicals, everything is made with natural ingredients, thank you foreign friends for rating Beluga vodka with a high rating❤
The only bit of information I would add on your description would be to add the average price of each bottle. I have thoroughly enjoyed your vodka reviews and find them enlightening. You should have, in my opinion, 100x more subs, but perhaps they are late to the party. I appreciate your educated opinion and sensibility.
If it's flavor you're after, you could try Dry Fly, Jean Marc XO or Reyka vodkas for much less than the "Ultra Premiums" I showcased. Of course the Kauffman Luxury Private Collection, Beluga Gold Line and Jewel Of Russia Ultra (not showcased) would probably round out my top 3 vodkas so far. Cheers!
I thought Beluga Noble Russian Vodka, Belvedere Polish Vodka, and Grey Goose French Vodka were the top three Vodkas ever made. I didn't try the others but I like Beluga the most.
Thank you for your videos! Just turned 21, I enjoy watching your videos and learning from your experience. I ordered a bottle of Kauffman for a birthday gift to myself because of your video. Cant wait to learn more from you.
you should do a video with your very favorite brands of vodka, tequila, whimsey, and either brandy or moonshine or some other category. compare all of them and talk about which type of liquor you enjoy the most. so basically its a vodka vs tequila vs whiskey tournament. i would love it!
Beluga has noted that you should wrap the top in a napkin before you hammer the wax, lay the napkin in the table, and then hammer off the small fragments that are left, followed by a nice brushing. That should keep all the small fragments in the napkin if done correctly.
As a Beluga lifer, I loved this review. I was a tad disappointed that Beluga fell to second place, but I understand the rationale. I am also a fan of Stoli, as you can imagine, I am a fan of Russian vodkas. I will most certainly try the Exchange, but the other vodkas are just not for me. Keep up the great work @LiquorHound
All of the vodkas were 40% ABV (80 Proof) and their price will differ (depending on your location), but they basically ran me; HDW CLIX $350-$375 Kauffman Luxury Private Collection $250-$275 Beluga Gold Line $150-175 Stoli Elit $50-65 The Exchange $35-45 If I re-shot this video today, I would replace "The Exchange" with "Jewel of Russia Ultra" ($100-$120) or maybe even "Heavy Water" (since its only $30-$40 and very tasty). Cheers!
Great videos mate. ;) Beluga (Plain ;)) is my poison - smoother than the much appraised Belvedere & Grey Goose imho. My 2nd fave is Ketel One and nicely priced too. Never heard of The Exchange before though - so cheers for that mate. Will try and locate it in the shops soon.
hey these are awesome reviews you have all over your channel. but i was wondering what your take on Cîroc vodka is? ive always found it to be an awesome vodka and was just wondering your opinion?
Hi, thanks for this useful review! The Beluga and Kauffman are very interesting products but are so expensive... I never tried these but for me the best vodka is the Chase. For 40 dollars is the vodka with the best rapport quality/price. I would ask if you have some info on these three vodka: U'luvka, Platinka, Snow Leopard What can you say on these three? Thanks (hope to see soon a review on the Chase vodka)
you enjoy vodka almost as much as me. ive thought about doing a channel just drinking vodka. ive prob tasted over 100 brands and flavors.. thanks for the video
great video, thanks. I have a very important thing to add - all Russian vodkas are "flavoured" as you say it. Every producer adds some sort of an extract, either natural or chemical. This is done because according to the Russian law you cannot mix spirit and water in the right proportion and register the product as some brand. Each vodka should be unique in it's recipe. Kauffman or Stoli might not talk about it but if you confront them, they will.
Id love to see how you believe Purity stacks up. A lot cheaper than some expensive contenders, but has won 125 medals. Zero purification, but 34x distilled and they only take the best of 10% of the distillate from that. I can taste the smoothness but I'm not good with the flavor profile like you would be. There's a vanilla sweetness I do taste, but it's supposedly very complex.
have you ever tried the trick of filtering cheap vodka through a Brita Filter? Mythbusters have tested the myth that it makes any cheap vodka become a premium vodka. I tested it at home: it took out all the flavor and was much softer... pleasant experience! BTW great video
You definitely have a new subscriber, i've been pondering whether to buy Kauffman or CLIX for a gift, but unlike CLIX being $300 over in the USA, here in the UK its £500 (Around $800!) and Kauffman here is £140 (Around £225). I already decided without tasting these that i would by Kauffman, purely because it's presentation is slightly more appealing than CLIX, and to the fact that CLIX is an American vodka (America isn't known for producing vodka). Nice to see a well presented drinker for once!
For the price, i think Chopin Potato is a brilliant "sipper"! But only this one. The Chopins made out of rye and wheat are better for mixing. Too much ethanol flavour :-/
Isn't The Exchange discontinued? Just tried to look for it but the price is still pretty cheap... How come it's cheap but good while being discontinued? What would be a good alternative to The Exchange?
Hmm if you want a similar high quality vodka, try the Belvedere Unfiltered Diamond Rye. If you want to save some money and don’t mind a little bite, try Exclusiv vodka. It’s a inexpensive mixer vodka that could be sipped in a pinch. Cheers!
+Tucson JJ - Thanks! Just for some kind of reference, if I were to score them 1-10, regular Stoli would probably be a 3, Retka would be a 6-7, The Exchange would be around a 7.5, Stoli Elit around a 7.5-8, CLIX is probably a 7.5 (but very unique), Beluga Gold Line would be a 8.5, and this Kauffman would be a 9.5. Now I haven't re-tasted them all in years (so I'm just going by memory), but I hope that helps. Cheers!
Thanks, that does help... but very surprised that you would rank regular Stoli a 3! I am much more a tequila drinker... but I remember Stoli as being very smooth... Jeeze, do Popov and Smirnoff rank higher? I would think a "3" is almost undrinkable... at least unpleasant... speaking of which, I tried a Rye Harbor vodka last night (sample bottle) and couldn't even finish it! Eccccch!!
+Tucson JJ - Sorry, it was late when I responded and was thinking of my Skyy Vodka when I gave that 3. 3's are for mixing only in my book. Stoli would be a 5-6 (good enough to sip). Smirnoff may actually be just a step below Stoli, so I'd give it a 5-5.5. I haven't ever had Popov. Cheers!

Thanks for the info :). I love Vodka's, but a lot of these are a little out of my price range right now sadly. I think I will be sticking with Skyy for the most part, but I would love to try Stoli and If I come across The Exchange I will certainly get a bottle of that. I live in Canada and the stores here don't tend to carry a huge variety, and shipping these would cost a fortune. Thanks again. Cheers!
great viedeo...... just one suggestion...you should do a video on what you look for in tasting different spirits.... for the less experience people like me!
I would love to try "The Exchange." I've begged my local store to get it but they won't. Do you know a vendor I can order it from? IMO, my best ever Vodka's so far are Jean Marc XO (I love this stuff) and Stoli Elite a close second. It was interesting hearing your opinions on the super expensive bottles.
That Jean Marc XO is fantastic and (spoiler) it made my “Best of 2017” video that I’ll be uploading this week. As for the other stuff, you can always message me directly on Facebook. Thank you and cheers!
This tasting video is amazing, I wish you would make more videos like this one, how about a bourbon (rum?) tasting video. Also, this might just be my opinion, but why focus on the ultra-premium stuff which has limited availability and most people won't be able to afford anyway, while I can see how many requests you got on a tasting video of those vodkas. I would like to hear your opinion on the best 'Bang for Your Buck' spirits out there.
Excellent Tasting, just next time that you want to open Beluga Gold Line follow this video "Beluga Gold Line церемония подачи" it much more easier that what you think. Next time taste Beluga Gold Line with Kaluga Amour Caviar or just Beluga Caviar is just a Gorgeous experience.
I think with a lil mouth cleanser before each taste, you'd get a lil better judgment on each one. maybe a bite of an apple? :) but even tho, great reviews
Heard so much lately about Beluga , not much of an alco myself but iv'e been drinking home distilled vodka for a couple of years now- i kinda forget what commercial mass produced vodka tastes of... Because home distilled has absolutely no flavor or aroma whatsoever- i tasted some Smirnoff a little while ago and spat it out... It had a bitterness to it i couldn't ignore that no one else claimed to detect... I want to try these now just for clarification...
Superb... for $30... a steal, IMHO... and yes, he has tried it, after he made the comment. He said on a different review that it was one of his two favorite sippers!! I assume he considered price... as the Beluga Gold Line is over $100...

I think it's still out there, but I believe their distribution is very small. I haven't had any of their new batches to check if their quality has maintained the high quality level of their initial releases (I hope they have). Cheers!
For me, as a reviewer, I’m checking for flaws in the spirits. Ice and cold can cover things up. So while chilled, you may enjoy it, but you may be consuming a subpar product. But if it drinks clean and nice at room temp, you can be assured that it’s high quality. From there, you can drink it chilled if you’d like. Cheers!
Might be very noobish of me, but isn't vodka a rather tasteless, odorless, and colorless substance? It certainly isn't as richly flavored as a nice scotch would be, so I wonder if it is actually worth it to buy expensive vodka
Bram Claes - You're right in that those are the physical descriptors of any US made vodka, but according to European Union (EU) regulations, vodka is a neutral spirit which may exhibit organoleptic characteristics of the raw material from which it is made. The congeners (chemicals/impurities that are responsible for the aromatics and flavors of a spirit) must only be "selectively reduced", but the product may be "flavored to enhance specific qualities" (without any notation on the labels). This loose definition of what can be added/left in to EU vodkas is why most vodka drinkers prefer the mouth-feel/flavors of Russian, Polish or other European vodkas over the stricter controlled US crafted ones. That's not to say all US vodkas are bad and flavorless (see Dry Fly vodka as an example).Regardless, no vodka will ever be as flavorful as a Scotch whisky since they have the added complexity of flavors from the barrel maturation process. But if Vodka is one's love, I would say it is worth it to at least try the "ultra-premium" ones since there is a pretty big difference between them and the mid-level ones (as there is from a basic blended Scotch to an award winning Single Malt). Cheers!
+erterte ertwert - Lol! I know! I gave The Exchange 3rd place since it was almost equal in quality to the Elit (and at a much better value). I will say that they were both behind Beluga GL and Kauffman PLC. Cheers!
People are massive fans of vodka, and you as an authority on their tastes need to SELL your advice and expertise through better made videos lol. Invest a RUclips videographer and editor … you’ll get half mil views for each short but informative video lol
Well my bottle/this video was from 10 years ago, so the quality of Elit may have slipped down - or you may have just unluckily picked up a bad batch (I know that’s happened to me with other brands). Sorry to hear that, but cheers!

@jbenoit9 America's own Ralfystuff!
People are massive fans of vodka, and you as an authority on their tastes need to SELL your advice and expertise through better made videos lol. Invest a RUclips videographer and editor … you’ll get half mil views for each short but informative video lol
И где-то же по английски научился говорить. Алкач.
Man how you can drink vodka ? 🤮🤮🤮
The best vodka is supoosed to be the one without color, aroma or taste!!!!. It should taste only pure alchohol
Stole elit was shit like they filtered original stoli with a coffee filter took away all the flavor, tastes like popov, disgusting ripoff
Well my bottle/this video was from 10 years ago, so the quality of Elit may have slipped down - or you may have just unluckily picked up a bad batch (I know that’s happened to me with other brands). Sorry to hear that, but cheers!
