Great conversation, thank you! The idea that Mark has floated for psych / social experts to be involved in DV is excellent. It shouldn't be up to Police to work out people's continuing problems, rather they need to be a calming, de-escalating force for handover to others. Beggars the imagination that he quotes 40% of calls are DV related, so sad.

Sickening to see this man with his arms around the daughters of Allison at her funeral on the news footage. That memory of mine is a reason he would not get out if I had any say in the matter.

Gerard’s family provided him full support. His father provided him full support. Why did it take so long to take the car for testing. Allison’s family were brilliant. Allison was an amazing brilliant young woman.

He also showed up at a local community event at the Showgrounds quickly after she went missing, his actions were bizarre. He thought he was superior to everyone, an out of control ego.

A dear friend knew him and all his family. He could believe it was him till he was charged. He was shocked. Glad you got him. Keep him behind bars please. I hope his daughters are doing well. I believe they may be married.

What a great and informative Podcast. 16 years ' ago I designed a preventative education program to roll out in Queensland high-schools to train young adolescent girls on how to recognize " pre relationship " coercive control. It has a 97 percent success rate and will prevent DV, Financial abuse and CV. The Labor Government on every level is just NOT interested

You guys should look into the Lloyd Raney case in WA. His defence team brought in an ex British homicide detective and he methodically debunked the prosecutions evidence... and even named two new suspects, whose DNA was found at the scene, and who were filmed in the area by traffic cameras. Unbelievably, the WA police refuse to re open the case... so a high profile channel like this might create enough public interest to reopen that case.

Why is it that you can have coppers like this and then the flip side is the clowns out on the street clearly harassing and stirring people up as an excuse to arrest them, something is very wrong 🤬🤬🤬🤬

There a Old Memorial at Murrary Bridge South Australia next to what would have been an old town Hall. It's dedicated to a BADEN_PIWELL. His family is quite historic in Australia. It seems he " Gerrard" may have "Swollen Head Syndrome." It beggars belief that some Men in Australia think they have some divine right to end the life of their Wife, on a Selfish Whim. Should he be paroled at all!?

Baden _Powell. And One of My daughters whom lived with "her father " my abuser. Married into A Brookfield family. Our real estate was sold for "His" the father of Mrs Brookfield financial benefit. Even though when had owned that real estate together. Jointly.
The WA Family Court covered up the fact that he tried to knock me off in June 2006. " That Father, Husband, Worker".

I followed this case closely, and the successful appeal to the Supreme Court of Queensland (3 judges): The public outcry that followed was, I believe, instrumental in kicking that Appellate Court's decision into touch via the Australian Federal Court system.
