If I’m being completelely honest, I sometimes play your videos when I’m having trouble getting out of bed because you’re so energetic that I get that contact energy and it helps motivate me to get vertical.
Dave wit the impromptu wall climbing 😆🥰... The best!!
😁
Super impressive!!
So strong!!
My local salvation army accepts drive thru donations
You should keep the black and the red vest! They will go with more outfits! 🤗
Keep the black vest only. Good basic for layering and to take on a vacation. Send stitch fix sweater back.
Dave just blew his cover. Now we all know he is the real Spider-Man. 🕷
LOL
Pass on the sweater, keep the black and red vest, re-allocate the drawers. ☺️
You might want to keep the storage drawers for Hailey. They are great for dorm rooms. I know you have a pile of things you are keeping for that purpose from your older videos.
Your relationship with Hayley is so Stinking cute! Adopt me Frugal lady
Plastic storage works in garage or pantry as well. Love to watch your channel. Insane sense of humor. ❤it.
I love the black vest and the red vest. Flare jeans are coming back into style!! I love your videos!! Watching your videos always help me come out of a panic attack so thank you🤍
Hailey looks super excited, glad Speedy was available to help. He is so sweet.
I hope Dave’s to do list said “patch the A holes”
LOLOL!!!!
🤣🤣🤣
👏👏👏👏👏
😂🤣😂
LOL
As my favorite mother-in-law called decluttering; "clearing out the dust collectors".
in fact, in German such things are called "dust catchers" (Staubfänger) :)
@@Saforra99 And here I thought my favorite mother-in-law was Irish.
@@compiticny1445 Who knows? Maybe the Irish have a special name for that too ;)
@@Saforra99 danke. Meine Schwiegermutter ist auch Deutsch
@@thegracklepeck O wie schön :)
I like the stitchfix shirt, as far as vests go I'd get rid of the grey one with the black lining, and maybe the plaid. The other two are more versatile!
That was my thought too.
I thought the opposite. Keep the plaid get rid of the rest 🤔😂
My thought too!
Extra points for Dave climbing to reach the "A's." Glad to see Haley getting a new bed. Her old one seemed like it was for a small child. This year we even purchased a bigger snow blower and sold the old one. Hubby is loving it - so much faster/easier on deep snow. No to the shirt unless you only wear it with your "original" hair color 🧡 IMO. Keep the black vest - cute and goes with any color of hair. Happy your mom was able to finally move into her awesome new house. She must be thrilled!
Keep the black and the red vests, donate the others. Great video! This is my first time commenting on RUclips but your declutter inspired me so much I had to comment.
I hope you guys keep doing these collaborations all year! This has helped me so much!!
Girl, that was YOUR man climbing that wall. Hehehe
I had all of our pictures in photo albums, but they cluttered our dining room and we still never looked at them. I ordered 2 colorful holders from hobby lobby, store them in our closet, and I love it!
I never realized how much clutter there was until I started going through thing. So much random junk. Working one room at a time, today is the living room.
Put the plastic bin organizer in Ryan's closet, kids always need storage options 🙂
I’m impressed with Dave’s skills climbing it was like you challenged him and he couldn’t resist!
My immediate thought was Ryan can surely use some additional bins.
We organize our extra photos using a few decorative photo boxes that all match. We get them on sale at a craft store. Each person has a box with their name on it that holds pictures of them and then we have a holidays & trips box for what’s left. The boxes come in handy when you need to post a throwback birthday photo etc.
Keep the red vest.
Reallocate to Ryan’s closet.
You did an amazing job.
Definitely move the plastic storage bin drawers to Ryan’s closet. I had some that were used for nearly 10 YEARS in my closet for my clothing before I finally broke down and purchased a dresser. The plastic drawers are now in my pantry! LOL
You inspired me to declutter my house this past week!! I pulled out so much stuff to donate the Disabled American Veterans thrift store. Feels so good to purge and get rid of things you never use or wear!!
Reallocate the storage bins, keep black vest, don’t keep the stitch fix sweater. Great video! I need to get going on my decluttering.
Agree with the one that said keep the red and the black vest, also yeah, try the dresser thing in your little one's closet if you think it will be useful to him! Great job!!
The vests that you love: KEEP! It’s ok that you don’t wear them all the time. Maybe next season you’ll decide that you don’t love it as much as you do now.
And, you don’t have 20, you have 4 - all very different, all ones that you love. No harm in keeping them (you have room!)
Matching hangers and a decorative picture box for the closet will pull it all together
Your family is very sweet and Speedy is just adorable!
I'd reallocate the drawers as they are always useful somewhere and then you have it for organizing later. Great job on all the things. I am right there with ya on cleaning out and organizing, for me it's my 3 pantry spaces into 4.
Keep the black vest you wear all the time and maybe one other- the herring bone is my vote. I also LOVE vests but I always go for my favorite ONE. Hang the vests in your main closet so you can try them on with your outfit as you get dressed in the morning. I usually throw one on around the house to keep warm. If you find you still only go for the black one Send the rest along to someone that will actually wear them.
I seriously need to declutter and this is hopefully the big inspiration I need to hop on board lol. Wish me luck! 😂😂😂
A survival blanket, a pack of cards and a bit of a charger...sounds exactly like my house! 😂
When you were moving furniture in Hayley’s room, I actually yelled out loud “watch out Speedy”
Me too 😳
Pictures - several years ago, I scanned them all into Amazon Prime Photos and then shredded the originals. I did keep a few baby pictures of my daughter and several other photos, but I have those all displayed on a photo clip frame on my stairwell. I love it because I don't have the weight of actual photos, and I can log onto Amazon and go sift through ALL of my pictures whenever I want.
I was so motivated bu your video that I had to pause halfway through and declutter/clean my spice cabinet!😃
Cute sweater but I agree on the seams.... I would send that back. Love the vests but you could get rid of the gray w/ black piping. Cute video Christine!! ❤️❤️❤️🤓
It's like I'm a human bean or something :-D so funny!!!
I have a storage bin like that in my coat closet that I turn side ways so I still have foot room in the bottom of the closet. Great for mittens, hats and dog leases and dog coats!
Decluttering ice cream... my kids do that for me every day. 😆
Anybody else swoon just a little when Dave climbed the walls!!! Christine your family is so awesome!! I love Speedy
I'm decluttering my entire spare room of donations I never got around to donating....woops lol
Thanks for the inspo!
inspiration!, love your hair!
You can do it!
@@FrugalFitMom thanks, Christine!
I would keep the black and red jacket vests. They sound like the two you love the most, and if you don't wear them much, you could likely purge half and be ok.
I liked the first 2 vests so I'd keep those and donate the other 2 and reallocate that Plastic drawer thing to your son's room :)
Thank you for the videos and the motivation.
I tried stitch fix on your last $100 promo and can we say sticker shock, lol. I had never heard of them before but liked the concept so I said why not, but my first reaction after getting my box was that I could easily do my own shopping, get the same quality of items and spend way less. BUT w/that said, I did keep a few pieces which included a pair of jeans that fit me better than any bottoms I’ve ever owned..they were fantastic. I was in awe if them. Anywhooo, for the vests, keep the two on left, donate/sell two on right. Thanks for the decluttering inspo. I did a lot last year but it motivated me to do this one closet that I’ve been putting off.
Donate all the vests. If you don’t wear them all that often, let them have a new life with someone who can get more use out of them, likely somewhere it isn’t as cold
I don't know. Even when it's cold out I like to wear vests when I drive. Keeps my back warm but I can move more freely. I never liked bulky coats while driving.
I love vests but I live in Southern California.
Those are perfect for my climate, eastern NC.
I wear vests in the house in my cold climate and keep heat low. I thought that standard operating procedure for frugal people
I always get sucked down the memory rabbit hole when I declutter because I do have a box of photos that appears every time. So far, I have taken my favorite photos of my deceased father and made a photobook from them, using shutterfly, and I plan on doing that with the others that I cherish. Having a hardback slim book to look through whenever you want is a slightly different sensory experience from flipping through individual 3x5 and 4x6's, but they take up less space and can be easily fit into any bookshelf arrangement. Plus, when you want to share them with someone, it is much more like the experience of pulling a photo album out to show, but it doesn't weight 10lbs.
We redid both kids' rooms (flooring/paint, some fruniture) over Xmas breaks and REALLY cleaned out. I have been on a decluttering kick since. So this video is right up my alley and good inspiration to keep going!
I am making second passes at lesser-used places I decluttered 4 or 6 months ago and still finding MORE that can go and no one will care. It's quite liberating and cleaning is SO much quicker and easier with all things in their proper place and just plain LESS.
Who knew moving a dresser could be so much fun. :) Can't wait for Haley's new room.
Okay....this was super fun! You guys are hilarious! I almost felt like I was there laughing with you. 🙂
😁
Vests - keep the buffalo check and solid black, in my opinion they are the most versatile.
I love the shirt color. Omg, you are so darn funny. Love your kids too. Awesome video.
Vests: keep black and red ones. Donate the others.
Love the new sweater!
Put the three drawer clear storage bin into the sons closet
It will be great for toy storage
Easy for him to pull out drawers and put stuff into and get stuff out of 😁
Sweater was “eh” UNTIL you put it on. It looks really good on you! I vote KEEP!👍🏻
Foot stool, Dave, foot stool! LOL Or, better: ladder!!! I laughed so hard!
Keep the red and black vests. Red because it’s your favourite colour and black because it goes with everything. The other two won’t be as timeless.
I got rid of any pictures that brought bad memories or couldn't really remember. The rest I got a small rubber maid to keep them. I may put them in books eventually, but for now, it doesn't take up too much space in my storage area.
“It’s like I’m a human being or something.”
One movie is literally “white men can’t jump” 🤣🤣 my dad watched it on repeat growing up haha
My husband is a hoarder that likes to keep everything. We have a big house but his stuff is more than our four kids and I combined. It gets me depressed sometimes. He is super handyman and a wonderful husband in pretty much everything else he is and does for us. So, I guess I just let him keep his stuff. I love him so much! Just not all his stuff lol
Secretly throw away a few things every month. He'll never notice 🤣
@@dablackkitten302 I came here to say this!! Just start getting rid of a few items here or there, especially things he never uses or wears. I do this all the time, LOL!
Tried it with my mom. She ALWAYS noticed eventually. Really frustrating. 😂🙄
Yes I tried that years ago and he remembers. He still thinks we have a potato masher somewhere that he just can't find. I had given it to thrift store long ago. I realized that it is a trust issue with him. He grew up with 5 siblings all in one bedroom and they had no room for much of anything personal. I think his mom would throw out stuff all the time. He built alot of this 3000 sq ft house himself. We did it for 78,000. He says he deserves to have stuff if he wants. I don't get rid of anything without asking anymore because he would take it so personal. Like I said we have a lot of space for storage so it's not like our living space is cluttered but we have many boxes in garage and basement because i always box it away if he still wants to keep something. It does help though when he fixes things with parts he has on hand and we never have to pay someone to fix cars, plumbing, heating, carpentry, landscaping, gardening. Etc etc. He's a hard worker and great man. So I guess it all evens out. :)
Please keep the black and white check vest. I love that pattern. Timeless. The red is nice too.
I have done good...easily 10 boxes to my donation center...e en sold some stuff on fb marketplace. Still have a ways to go.
For photos...I found a really neat cabinet...all photos go in it. Some in albums and some in boxes. Had some extra space to put some memorabilia and empty frames I’m holding on to in there also! I used to have pictures everywhere so this has been a great solution!!
Black & Red vest keep!! LOVE both
Keep 2 vests only, especially because you rarely wear them. Great job finding more stuff and getting it out right away. : )
i like the black one and the herringbone one. one warm one and one more dressy one
I’ve used them and repurposed them for so many things. School supplies, memorabilia, additional pantry storage, makeshift dresser for baby, and music.
I think one vest is probably what you need but that keeping two is fine, we don't have to be minimalists about absolutely everything (and I am not one at all and never will be). I personally would keep the black and the black and white one but if you are into red perhaps it is better to keep the black and the red one. I actually bought a vest this year and I have used it quite a bit. The weather right now where I live is a pretty good vest weather. It is very wintery but we are above freezing so a wool sweater and a vest is perfectly fine to wear. I like that you feel less heavy with a vest.
Yes I want to see more of Speedy! So cute!
I would keep only the black vest. We live in a cold place too, so vests aren’t very practical except for middle ish fall. I’d get rid of the red, herringbone, and checkered ones.
My "Andrew" loves shoveling snow.. keep black and red on the vests.
I'm decluttering my kids' rooms right now and have found several hair ties. 😄
reuse that clear 3 drawer bins for his closet for sure! in my mind you could always use it to store “play” clothes on top like pants and shirts, and then on the bottom store any kind of shoes that are also kinda dirty. Because it’s plastic and easy to take out, if you ever need to wipe it down/clean any dirt (for example from the shoes) it’s way easier than a regular dresser. Holds everything in one place!
My whole house has been in the process of reorganization we moved my father in law in last month and we are moving my mother in his week, both have dementia and can not live alone. We had to move our son to our 5th wheel. I need to finish reorganizing the homeschool items in my dining room and get the family room put back together. Then I can clean out my closet and get it reorganized. It has been a lot of work.
Keep the two vests on the left! Most versatile and still in fashion :)
the storage drawers are great for a college dorm! save it for hailey
That tri drawer set, absolutely try it in your son's closet. I did that for my boys and it's been a huge help. I am going to have to eventually invest in a proper closet system for them but for now those drawer sets are perfect for their needs.
Hi Christine, another inspirational video for me to follow! One thing, for the white plastic box with drawers, keep it IF it has a purpose...donate if it does not. If you have boxes with drawers, they call out to you to fill them, and eventually you do...which becomes a "declutter" issue later! Keep going with the "less is more" philosophy!
Your Speedy is adorable. Definitely more Speedy.
Keep the vests and give yourself a month to wear them. If you don't wear them, toss.
Pivot, Pivot, Pivot-Favorite Ross moment ever.
Picture box would go with the photo albums. Make it a goal to place in a photo album.
Donate the bag. Closet looked great.
Toss the bin. If he doesn't really need it, don't keep it.
Thanks for sharing your video.
Have a great week!
The plastic drawer bin - I put that exact one in my pantry for Ziploc bags, plastic wrap, foil, etc. It fit perfectly underneath my lowest shelf, so I can utilize what would be wasted floor space.
I love the red vest and the black one. They would work with more.
Plain red vest and plain black vest keep they are the most versatile.
I love vests, I use them to layer or to wear inside instead of a sweater. They are great when you are doing chores or cooking and don't want to wear long sleves. I would keep the ones you can layer under outwear.
I make photobooks online to get printed, they take up less room and are nicer than regular albums. I'd scan the old prints to store digitally to make into photobooks.
I love the two vests on the left! I would definitely get rid of the red one, since it won't match as many outfits :)
With clothing if u have a hard time deciding what to keep go with what fits and the plain colors that can go with pretty much everything
You and Dawn are my FAVORITE RUclipsrs and now with your forces combined 😁 How exciting!!
Hi!
Love this video!
About the vests: you could put a timer on it. If you are in the season where you can wear them, do so as often as you can. After a set time (2 weeks or a month or so) you decide if you want to keep them or declutter them.
I loved brain quests for my kids when they were little.
I keep all my pictures divided by approximate age in those 4 by 4 plastic boxes with the snap on lid. Easy to store on a shelf and I have a lot of pictures. Then I just label the front with the year. I keep those Lululemon bags and bags like that to take things to people like a meal or return things to a family member. Then I’m not upset If I never get it back.
I love the solid red and solid black vests. My DD is in softball too. I didnt like the stitch fix shirt. Love the 90 pics!! I have like 15 photo albums 😬 I have so much closet clutter in 8 closets!
YES! Flare jeans need to come back!
Definitely keep the plastic bin thing!
As for the vests, just pick 1 to keep out, and put the rest in a vacuum flat storage bag. If you don’t wear the one you have out multiple times before next winter starts, donate all of them!
vests - I love the red and the black.
Just keep the black one, super cute and versatile
I love your necklace that you are wearing. It's my style!!
Keep the stitch fix, Adorable. And only keep the black vest and maybe the red.
